Sunday. It's raining. However, if you still want to have a park drinking session, it's wise to go to Kasai Rinkai Park, which has several large roofed rest areas. So, I went to a Starbucks located right in front of the park and packed two salad wraps as snacks for drinks. According to the product description on their website...
Shrimp Avocado Salad Wrap: Shrimp and avocado salad mixed with grains and beans, dressed in aurora sauce (shrimp, egg salad, cauliflower, diced potatoes, onions, lotus roots). The wrap includes avocado salad, lettuce, purple cabbage, sour cream beans salad, wrapped in tortilla with paprika. The avocado salad contains avocado, broccoli, five beans, and grains. The sour cream beans salad includes egg salad, five beans, grains, onion salad, chickpeas, and sour cream filling.
Root Vegetable Chicken Salad Wrap: Chicken, root vegetables, and sesame-flavored gobo and lotus root with carrot mixed in sesame mayonnaise, wrapped in tortilla with matcha paste. The wrap includes lettuce, carrots, purple cabbage, and cucumber. The gobo is cut finely to enhance the texture of the root vegetables. The matcha used in the tortilla is grown using Starbucks coffee grounds recycled as compost.
Phew... it's a hassle to read all that, but in simple terms, it means "various ingredients wrapped in tortilla." Anyway, the variety of ingredients is amazing. When you actually bite into it, you'll taste a complex flavor, a natural or organic vibe, and a crunchy texture, bursting with a healthy feel. And it tastes delicious too. It's more like a side dish to accompany greasy fried chicken, enhancing its healthy aspect even more. Well, it's a salad after all. While pondering over this, I enjoyed my Jim Beam highball, gazing at the distant Tokyo Gate Bridge and wind turbines. See you again. Sorry for the long message.
