Bake, the specialty shop known for freshly baked cheese tarts and crispy cream puffs, opened a butter sandwich specialty store in 2017. The packaging and design are simple yet stylish, and the sandwiches are baked to a crisp, allowing you to enjoy both layers of cream and caramel simultaneously. The sandwiches are not overly sweet, making them refreshing to eat, and you might find yourself finishing them quickly. The website mentions that each store offers limited edition freshly baked butter sandwiches, such as the Tokyo Station exclusive and the Hakata Station exclusive with Amaou strawberries. There is also a chestnut-flavored butter sandwich available at both locations. With nationwide locations and regional exclusive flavors, these sandwiches make great souvenirs. If visiting the stores is inconvenient, their online shop is well-equipped for online orders, catering to the modern era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tokyo Solamachi, located next to Tobu Tokyo Skytree Station, is a bustling commercial facility with over 300 diverse shops, creating a new lively atmosphere in the base of Tokyo Skytree. One of the shops on the 2nd floor Tower Yard 5th Street, called Press Butter Sand Tokyo Solamachi store, sells popular press butter sand. This butter sand cookie features a crispy texture cookie with a rich butter cream and a smooth caramel cream layer. Made with plenty of fresh butter from Hokkaido, it offers a flavor and texture that allows you to enjoy the taste of butter itself. Using a traditional Japanese confectionery method called "hasamiyaki," each piece is carefully pressed to create a crispy texture. The packaging features a minimal design with a gray box and vivid orange accents. I came here to purchase a White Day gift, and according to some online information, press butter sand is currently the most popular sweet treat. After researching the Tokyo stores that sell this, I chose to visit this Solamachi store instead of Tokyo Station due to the expected heavy crowds. Visiting around 1 pm on a weekend, there were no other customers. Definitely the right choice! The store offers press butter sand in black, White Day recommended amaou strawberries, but choosing the original seemed like the adult choice. The butter sand (5 pieces) cost 1,000 yen and is delicious with its crispy cookie and butter cream and caramel cream layers. I used to be a fan of sugar butter tree, but now I've become a press butter sand enthusiast!

I tried RINGO and BAKE's cheese tarts and really liked them, so I had been thinking of trying their pressed butter sandwich as well. When I went to see the illuminations at Soramachi, I found this shop. I was able to buy it without waiting in line! I purchased a 5-piece pack for home use. If I like it, I can use it as a souvenir too. The packaging is simple but stylish, and the cookie pattern is nice. It was a bit different from what I had imagined, but the crispy cookie sandwiched with caramel cream was delicious, and I can see why it's popular. This is definitely a good souvenir option. The price is reasonable at 1,000 yen for 5 pieces. It might be a bit challenging to distribute to a large group though. I found out from the receipt that the BAKE APP is common among the brands here. I should have joined it (laughs).

I came to Press Butter Sand on the 2nd floor of Soramachi, Tokyo Skytree. I purchased a box of 9 Press Butter Sand sandwiches! The cookie dough is light and crispy, with smooth caramel and butter cream inside. It's so light that I feel like I could eat as many as I want (lol). Delicious! There seems to be a shop at Tokyo Station as well. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!

I saw a review saying there was a long line at Tokyo Station, so my family wanted to try some cookies. We bought them at the Skytree (Soramachi) 2nd floor, in the area with a variety of Japanese and Western sweets, near the elevator hall. We bought the smallest box, which had 5 cookies for 1000 yen. When we opened the bag, we found two square cookies with gooey caramel in between. The cookies looked delicious. When we tasted them, they had a crispy texture similar to shortbread. They were fragrant with an almond-like aroma and tasted delicious. I usually don't like cookies, biscuits, or donuts, but I found these cookies from Godiva to be very tasty. Even someone like me who doesn't usually enjoy cookies found these to be delicious. The texture is addictive. It's no wonder there was a line for these tasty cookies.

First meal in June 2019 (No.1375) - This review is about a gift I received. When I checked the roots, I found out that it is the first souvenir confectionery business by BAKE, famous for their cheese tarts. They have quite a few stores, so I assume this product is selling well too (lol). The crispy pastry, baked using the method of traditional Japanese pressed butter sandwich sweets called "hasamiyaki," has a shape similar to a monaka. It is filled with Hokkaido butter cream and caramel, giving off a strong buttery aroma. It is a delicious baked confectionery. If I have the chance, I will purchase it at a store in my area. Thank you for the meal.

I was suddenly asked by a girl at work if I knew about "PRESS BUTTER SAND!" But I didn't know. Apparently, the shop at Tokyo Station is hard to get into because of the long lines! I used Tabelog to gather information and found out that the Skytree Soramachi store is still a hidden gem with fewer lines. I shared this information with the girl and she seemed very interested in trying it. So, we decided to go to Skytree! After enjoying some dumplings at Ginza Tenryu, I bought a box of PRESS BUTTER SAND (9 pieces for ¥1,710) as a souvenir. When we tried it at the office, we were impressed by the sophisticated packaging and the delicious taste - a perfect balance of sweetness and crunchiness. It felt both new and familiar at the same time. The girl who asked me about it was smiling, so I think she really liked it. I hesitated to write a review, but I felt it was necessary to share my experience. In the end, I regretted not buying more. Thank you to everyone whose reviews helped me make this decision.

I kept saying "delicious" every time I received it from a business partner in Marunouchi, and I found out that it is also available in Solamachi. It seems to have long lines at Tokyo Station, but it's not crowded at Solamachi. The cookies sandwiched with butter and the creamy caramel that melts smoothly are delicious.

I thought I could only buy butter sandwiches at Tokyo Station, but I found them being sold at Soramachi as well. They have recently opened a store at Yokohama Takashimaya as well. The pressed butter sandwiches come in a pack of 9 for 1,710 yen. The cookies are crispy, and the caramel cream and fluffy cream inside are delicious.

There is a souvenir shop on the 2nd floor of Solamachi. There is a new shop in the shopping street. While Tokyo Station requires waiting in line, I was able to buy here without much waiting. It's like a buttercream sandwiched between cookies or sablé. The sweetness is mild. I didn't think it was worth waiting in line for as much as others do.

When I went to Tokyo, I was determined to buy the pressed butter sandwich! There were a lot of people lining up at Tokyo Station, so I was lucky to be able to buy it without waiting at Solamachi. I bought it for souvenirs and for myself. The staff were also very friendly. I like this packaging. It's square and cute, and the firmness when you bite into it and the cream inside go well together. The combination of caramel cream and fluffy cream is delicious. Ah, so happy! The portion size is small, but it's just right. I'm glad I bought it. It looks like I'll have a snack to enjoy for a while. Thank you for the meal.

The packaging and appearance are delicate, but the overall taste is below average, like a cream cookie itself.

I was curious so I went to the Skytree and stopped by the Solamachi store. This was the only place inside Solamachi where there was a line. But with only 3-4 people waiting, I was able to purchase smoothly. You can buy up to 5 cookies per person! The cookies outside are crispy and have a fragrant buttery aroma. Inside, there is buttercream and butter caramel paste. The cookies have a addictive buttery aroma and a surprisingly light taste, so I finished them in no time. However, hearing about the line made my expectations rise, so I must say that it was not as impressive as I thought it would be. But the stylish design of the box makes it a nice souvenir to receive.

This is a shop on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Solamachi (there seems to be shops at Tokyo Station and Ikebukuro Station as well). They specialize in butter sandwiches, made straight and simple. The butter sandwich has a perfectly firm dough with a good buttery flavor, filled with cream and caramel and baked. It's high in calories, but the strong flavor of the dough overshadows the cream and caramel inside, making them seem a bit light. It would be nice to have a better balance of flavors. Thank you for the meal.

Pressed Butter Sand 6 pieces for 1020 yen
I was always curious about the long line at Tokyo Station. Since I was planning to visit Soramachi where they also have a store, I decided to buy it on the way. There was no line at Soramachi store, so I was able to purchase it quickly. The cookie is crispy and has a strong butter flavor. Inside, there is a creamy and caramel filling that goes well with the cookie dough. Although it looks very sweet and rich, it is incredibly delicious, so I feel like I could eat as many as I want. I was expecting it to taste like Marseille Butter Sand, but it's completely different. Apparently, at the Tokyo Station store, you can eat it freshly baked, so I would like to try it once.

I visited a shop at the shopping mall Solamachi, which is adjacent to the Skytree. I knew it was a popular shop, so I decided to buy something. I went on a Saturday night around 8 pm and the mall wasn't crowded, so I was able to purchase items smoothly. I bought the smallest box of 6 pieces. Since I couldn't eat them there, I took them home. I really like Marusei Butter Sand from Rokkatei, so I had that image in mind when I tried these. They didn't quite meet my expectations, but the buttery aroma was very pleasant. I think those who enjoy traditional butter sand would like them. I gave them to a friend as a gift, and they really liked them. They make a great gift option.

The crispy exterior with a creamy filling is irresistible! It's really delicious! When I went to Tokyo Station the other day to buy some, I needed a ticket to purchase (not sure if it was for freshly baked ones). But here, you can easily buy them. Each person can buy up to 5 pieces at any store. A pack of 6 costs 1,020 yen, and a pack of 10 costs 1,700 yen.

Recently, the popular Tokyo souvenir has become the "Pressed Butter Sand". It is a gift that brings joy, and among the snacks sold in chains as souvenirs from Tokyo, I think it is quite delicious. This time, I tried the "Lemon" butter sand. It is a slightly adult-flavored sandwich cookie made with finely chopped Setouchi lemon peel mixed with lemon buttercream and lemon card made from Setouchi lemon juice, sandwiched with lemon butter caramel, and accented with lemon peel powder for a good bitterness. It went very well with tea! It seems they also have seasonal products, so I will visit the store again. Thank you for the meal.
