At San-no-miya Coffee House Leo, I had an iced coffee♪ The sign of Leo Coffee House near Hibiya Line San-no-miya Station exudes a dignified charm with its weathered silver letters. Leo is a great name for a cafe, don't you think? It seems like most of the customers are regulars, and the owner seems to be of a certain age. The cafe allows smoking, so it has a smoky atmosphere. I think the iced coffee was 450 yen. The copper glasses are nostalgic. This cafe seems to have aged gracefully and is spending its twilight years. It's a cafe where cigarettes and coffee go hand in hand.

Holiday morning around 8:30 am. No other customers. An elderly master running the place alone. There is no menu written down. Even if you stay silent, the menu won't appear... you have to ask for it. The customer service is not great. ★Morning set for 500 yen (ham and eggs, salad, toast) on one plate. Hoping for a good toast at a cafe... but the toast here is just okay, not much different from homemade toast. The coffee has a rich flavor and is delicious.

The last time I came, Coffee House Leo was closed, but today it was open. Since I couldn't find a menu, I asked if they had a morning set, and they did. I ordered a hot coffee. After a while, the morning set arrived with salad, thick toast, and ham and eggs. The coffee was a strong and bitter old-fashioned coffee, so I added sugar and milk. When I paid, I found out it was 500 yen.

I came to Minami-Senju on a summer youth 18 ticket trip in 2022. I am staying at a hotel in Nihon-tsutsumi, Taito-ku. I want to have breakfast at a cafe, so I searched for a morning cafe on my smartphone and found a coffee house called Leo near Minowa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. It's about a 12-minute walk. It is located just north of the Oozeki Yokocho intersection where Showa-dori and Meiji-dori intersect. I visited for the first time around 9 am during the Bon holiday period. It seems that this place has been in business for about 40 years. The compact store has only table seats, no counter seats. I was seated at a table near the entrance. There was one elderly male customer, who seemed to be a regular. The shop is run by an elderly male owner alone. The background music is nostalgic American pop music. There is an ashtray, so smoking is allowed. The morning service is available from 8:30 am to 11 am. The Morning Set costs 500 yen (tax included) and comes with toast, ham and eggs, salad, and coffee, tea, or milk. I ordered an iced coffee. The Morning Set that came out had half a slice of 5-slice toast and a sunny-side-up egg? The ham was stuck on the back (laughs). Shredded cabbage with Aurora sauce. The coffee was UCC Weshima Coffee, served in a well-used copper mug. It is a bit quiet as it is located a little off the main road. It faces south, so it gets good sunlight and is calming. Having a Morning Set at a coffee shop in Tokyo's downtown area. I was relieved to find that there is also a morning service in Tokyo. A certificate of appreciation from Governor Koike for the shop's efforts in dealing with COVID-19 is displayed on the wall. The owner seems to have a meticulous personality. It was a delicious meal.

I had breakfast at Coffee House Leo, a cozy cafe in the downtown area of Minowa. It's a place where locals gather and you can smoke inside. Even though I don't smoke, it's great for those who do. Thanks for the meal!

It seems to be the first review. The shop is located near Minowa Station. I often visit nearby shops, so I was aware of this shop along the way. I have been curious about its retro exterior that gives off a Showa era vibe. I always thought that it might be difficult to enter such a shop where only regular customers seem to go. However, I mustered up the courage to visit for the first time when I had some free time during work. When I entered the shop, there were indeed customers who seemed like regulars. I ordered an iced coffee, which made me quite nervous as a first-timer. It was a delicious iced coffee. Although I still had time, I left the shop promptly.
