From Osaka Metro and Keihan Electric Railway's Temmabashi Station, cross the Okawa River and you'll find Nova Coffee and Pastries near Minami Temma Park, known for its beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. I visited after seeing their Instagram posts featuring seasonal fruit offerings. I ordered the following: Seasonal drink - Melon Soda for ¥1,200, and Seasonal pastry - Melon Tart for ¥850. Both items use Crown Melon, the king of melons. The Melon Soda is layered with soda, smoothie, and jelly, creating a unique experience with the rich sweetness of the melon and a hint of wine-like bitterness, giving it a sophisticated flavor. The Melon Tart had a buttery aroma from the tart crust, and like the soda, it was also layered. The combination of the melon's sweetness with custard and a hint of cheese, along with melon flesh, creates a harmonious blend where each element shines without overshadowing the others. I've tried cakes from renowned patisseries in the Kansai region, but to enjoy such high-quality tart at a cafe is truly satisfying. I went to Osaka after a long time and was planning to go to a different place for breakfast, but it was closed on that day, so I ended up at my favorite spot. I had never been there for breakfast before, I usually go for coffee time, but I really wanted to eat their Ogura toast. It was a long-awaited treat and it did not disappoint! The combination of Ogura toast is truly the best. They also have great coffee with attention to detail, and the fact that you can have it as a set for this price (I think it was around 780 yen) makes it even better. I really want to go back again. I recommend both breakfast and coffee time here!

I visited NOVA Coffee and Baked Goods in Temma-bashi, Osaka to study their morning offerings. The place was almost full even at 8:30 am on a Sunday. The atmosphere was very stylish. I had the Egg Sandwich and Coffee Set for 750 yen. The coffee had a soft bitterness with a mild acidity, perfect for a morning drink. The Egg Sandwich had a Japanese-style broth flavor, which I really enjoyed. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I stayed nearby and used the morning service! I had French toast and a croque-monsieur! The slightly firm bread, which I like, was perfect for me. The flavor was also great, nothing to complain about! It was delicious, so I ended up buying some baked goods too (laughs). I will definitely visit the cafe as well in the future!

- Ordered item: Coffee float for 735 yen - Food: I went specifically for the shaved ice, but it seemed they were no longer serving it at that time. Too bad. The float had a bigger scoop of ice cream than I expected! The coffee paired well with it, making for a delicious coffee float. The calm atmosphere allowed me to relax and unwind, feeling like time had stopped.

It was an elegant shop as rumored. Although there was a line, the staff were kind and it's a shop worth waiting for. This time, I had shaved ice and three types of sweets. The shaved ice had black honey with roasted soybean flour on top, with cream, roasted green tea ice cream, and bracken rice cake inside. The roasted green tea ice cream was rich and satisfying! It also came with warm tea, so even if it got a little cold, it was soothing.

For lunch, I had tonkatsu and filled my stomach. I met up with a long-time friend and we decided to find a café to chat. We were looking for a café surrounded by lots of greenery, but couldn't find one easily, so we ended up at Nova. The small café was half empty when we arrived, but it quickly filled up and there was a waiting line. The modern chic design of the café created a very calming atmosphere. I ordered a café au lait for ¥680 and a pudding for ¥500. The café au lait had a bitter finish that paired perfectly with the pudding. The pudding had a British-style appearance, slightly firm but with a soft texture, and the caramel sauce was bitter and serene. It was a wonderful moment. Recently, I made a fan and received one as a gift. This summer, I'll be using this fan for sure. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I rode my bike for about 26km today, so I can eat anything with zero calories, right?! The matcha terrine and maple Vienna coffee here are seriously delicious. The super sweet maple coffee goes so well with my tired body, it's addictive.

Today marks my 5th visit to Coffee and Pastry shop "Nova," where I had just enjoyed a delicious "Pudding a la mode" 10 days ago. I saw on their Instagram Stories yesterday that they would start serving "Fresh Melon Soda" today, so I messaged them to ask what time it would be available. The owner promptly replied this morning, saying that the soda would be available from 12 pm. I arrived at the shop 5 minutes before noon and was lucky to find one of the two-person tables by the wall empty. For my sweet treat lunch, I ordered the following: - Fresh Melon Soda for 1200 yen - Assorted sweets for 550 yen, including Mixed fruit and walnut pound cake, Honey lemon and poppy seed madeleine, and Truffle with Natsume palm, dried fig, and almond The assorted sweets arrived after 10 minutes, followed by the Fresh Melon Soda 5 minutes later. The soda was beautifully topped with white ice cream, green melon, and red cherries, garnished with green mint, and tasted elegantly sweet. I lingered for an hour, enjoying the cute bite-sized pastries. I also posted about my visit on Instagram. They will start serving shaved ice in mid-June, so I must come back again soon! Bon appétit! On May 30, 2023, after a long time since visiting with two foodie friends in Kyoto and Wakayama last November, I came to "Coffee and Baked Sweets Nova" near my home for the fifth time, dressed stylishly in a casual outfit. We settled at a table for two at the back and ordered the following: ◆Coffee of the Month - Dark Roast "Satsuki" for 605 yen ◆Nova's Pudding a la Mode for 1300 yen. The "Nova's Pudding a la Mode" was a new menu item that I had seen on Instagram, so I specifically came in for it. However, we had to wait for another 30 minutes until it was served at 12 o'clock, so we decided to enjoy our coffee in the meantime. The coffee of the month, "Satsuki," was brewed with a stylish dripper and served in a red clay mug and saucer. It was a luxurious experience to drink coffee in such a lovely atmosphere where time seemed to pass slowly. The owner remembered me well, which made me happy, so I decided to bring back some homemade Sansho pepper soy sauce that I had made recently to share. As soon as I returned with the sauce, the "Pudding a la Mode" arrived. The pudding was surrounded by beautifully cut apples, melons, and watermelons, with a cherry on top of the whipped cream in the center. There were also kiwis, mangoes, bananas, oranges, ice cream, and more, making it a colorful and fulfilling meal that could even substitute for lunch. Delicious! (●^o^●)

Ordered Melon Soda and Melon Tart! The upgraded version of fresh Melon Soda was even more delicious with the addition of sparkling wine jelly! The tart was cute and had melon inside the cheese cream and custard, very satisfying! The tart crust was also delicious! Double the deliciousness! Thank you for the meal.

A delicious coffee with a smooth taste made by a young roaster with a young pastry chef who studied in France making baked goods. The pairing of this coffee and baked goods is enjoyable. Even my mother, who doesn't like chocolate or baked goods, was happy with how delicious they were. The coffee, brewed carefully one cup at a time, is also very tasty. I definitely want to visit when I go to Osaka. Next time, I'll go for the "An Butter Toast" for breakfast!

I had a beef tongue lunch, then ramen, and finally ended up here! This day was filled with visiting my favorite restaurants alone, and it was such a fulfilling and happy day!!! The maple sausage coffee and matcha terrine here are incredibly delicious. I always end up ordering these.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and there were 2 groups ahead of me, so I waited. I think I got in after about 20 minutes. I had a hard time choosing a drink, but I tried the "honey lemon coffee" that I had never seen before. It tasted like a mix of honey lemon and coffee. Next time, I might go for a regular drink. I also had a hard time choosing a dessert, but I went with the matcha terrine. It was moist and delicious. The tableware was really cute. I also bought a matcha muffin and scone to take home, and the matcha muffin had mochi inside and was delicious.

This is a cafe in Temmabashi. It is located in the area across the Okawa River from Temmabashi Station. This area is a calm area with a mix of old and new, with riverside parks and shops like Batongroup, Ito, Seiso, and Hotel Noum. Next to it is the ethnic-style standing bar Yakuwarisan. I had been following this shop on Instagram since it opened, but hesitated to visit as it became popular. I happened to be in the area on a weekday, so I decided to give it a try, prepared to go elsewhere if it was crowded. Luckily, there were seats available, so I didn't have to wait. However, more customers kept coming in, so I couldn't relax much. The interior is cozy but smaller than expected. There is a large table near the entrance, and only two 2-person tables. The large table is not as big as in other shops like Tortuga or Mitsubachido, so the proximity to other customers may be a concern. The decor is very calming and lovely. I ordered a pairing of seasonal sweets and coffee. - February Blend: Coffee with a toasty hojicha-like aroma. It was delicious. I was more interested in the coffee cup than the coffee itself. I wonder if it's from a certain artist? - Seasonal sweet (February): Sweet chocolate mousse with pâte sucrée. It looks beautiful, but the overall flavor and aroma were a bit weak, and the cherry in the pâte sucrée was barely noticeable, which was disappointing. The sweets weren't to my taste, but maybe the regular menu items like pudding or baked goods would leave a different impression? The customers were older than expected, despite the youthful vibe on Instagram. There were also younger customers, but many were individuals, so the atmosphere may be different on weekends. They open at 8:00 in the morning, so I plan to go back for breakfast next time.

The cafe I wanted to visit was closed, so I went to this one nearby. There were a lot of young people lined up, so I decided to wait in line for about 15 minutes. The interior of the cafe had a stylish atmosphere, and there were many couples. I ordered coffee and pudding. The pudding was firm, like the nostalgic pudding from the past. It had a considerable amount of whipped cream on top. The coffee was delicious too, so I was satisfied!

On November 26, 2022, we had a sushi lunch in front of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, followed by a visit to the rakugo theater "Tenma Tenjin Shosho-tei" nearby. We then stopped at "JUSTICEBROWN" for coffee and Taiwanese donuts for a brief break with three people. After spending 40 minutes there, we walked 800m to take two of my friends to their favorite cheesecake shop, "La Patisserie Caturra." While I didn't buy anything, my friends got some Basque cheesecake and baked goods before we headed to "Langolo," a European home-cooked meal and wine shop located beyond the south entrance of Japan's longest Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. Since we had 45 minutes until it opened at 3 pm, we decided to kill time with a second round of cafe time at "Nova Coffee and Baked Goods." It was my fourth visit in a year, and I usually enjoyed their morning menu after they opened around 9 am. The cafe, located on the first floor of an old building, may look impersonal from the outside, but once you pass through the white curtain and open the door, you are greeted by a calm color scheme, wooden floors, a large 6-person table, and two small 2-person tables along the right wall. Soft piano music plays from speakers placed on the floor, creating a lovely atmosphere where time flows leisurely and you can relax. We added an extra chair to one of the small tables for three of us, and we ordered the following: Tsubaki Light Roast Coffee for 605 yen. My friends chose Elderflower Herbal Tea Soda, which arrived in 10 minutes. The coffee cup and saucer I had previously enjoyed prompted me to order the same set online, but this time, the design was different yet equally lovely and easy to hold. The light roast coffee had a fruity flavor and a pleasant aroma, making it easy to drink. As the time approached, I called "Langolo" to find out they only served in the evening, disappointing my friends' plan to enjoy wine in the daylight. I settled the bill, and we walked 1 km to Minami-morimachi Station, where we bid farewell. Thank you for the meal!

I had sushi for lunch in Minamimorimachi and then had Taiwanese donuts for dessert. After a short walk, I bought some cakes as souvenirs and visited a fourth place that day. I took a break and had Elderflower soda at a coffee shop. It was refreshing and delicious. The shop had a nice atmosphere with good music and baked goods. I felt full from all the food and drinks, but I will definitely come back here alone to relax. It's a great place to take a leisurely walk along the Okawa River towards Yodoyabashi.
