I visited during the day on a regular day and there were about 4 groups waiting in line. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I finally got inside the restaurant. I found out that this place is affiliated with "Inokawazu" in Hakozaki, which I had been curious about for a while. So, my expectations were high! I wanted to order the Rokuhaku Rib Roast Katsu set, but it was sold out, so I chose the Upper Rib Roast Katsu set with a 250g pine needle. The condiments available were: 1) wasabi soy sauce, 2) lemon salt, 3) special tonkatsu sauce, 4) original grain mustard. The rib roast was a tender and pink premium pork! It looked delicious from the start. The fat was sweet, and when I tried a bite with lemon salt, it was incredibly delicious! This was on a whole other level of goodness! It has been a while since I had a tonkatsu that was this good! The crispy texture and juiciness were excellent! The sauce was a bit too sour for my liking, but the mustard and lemon salt were the best condiments for the tonkatsu. The rice was cooked perfectly and was delicious! I had unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The cost performance was great, and I left very satisfied! I used to think that restaurants in commercial facilities had lower quality, but this affiliated famous restaurant was different and better! Thank you for the meal!

Arrived around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. No waiting time. It seems quite calm. The meat is delicious, but the rice is even more delicious. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage are free for seconds. The 110 yen coffee was a service that was not available when I last visited.

It's my favorite place, so I go there regularly and end up ordering the same thing every time. This time, it was a Saturday but there didn't seem to be a long wait outside. There were empty tables, but unfortunately, a noisy family from another country sat next to us. While waiting for our food, I noticed that you can ask for extra condiments, but they might charge you for it. I remembered the first time I visited, the portion of condiments on the right end of the table looked small, so I wouldn't want to be charged for asking for more. This time, I tried a piece of my friend's sirloin, and it was tender and delicious, but I realized that I prefer fillet because I'm not a fan of fatty meat.

I went to the tonkatsu restaurant Chisei located in Lala Port Fukuoka! It was busy because it was Obon, so I made a reservation using the reservation machine in front of the store. I ordered a set of loin tonkatsu and fillet katsu. The rice was white rice. There were various toppings such as salt, lemon, wasabi soy sauce, tonkatsu sauce, and miso. The wasabi soy sauce was delicious. The fillet katsu was tender and delicious. I was very full!

This is a sister restaurant of the famous Ino Kawazu in Hakoasaki. It is located on the 3rd floor next to the food court in Lalaport. The store is very clean and modern. After entering your order into the reception machine, you are seated in a waiting area for a few minutes before being escorted inside. Ordering is done using a touch panel, which is very modern. I ordered the rib loin cutlet. The thick cutlet was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender on the inside. I first tried it with salt and wasabi, and also enjoyed it with grain mustard. Lastly, I had it with the classic sauce and mustard. The fact that you can get free refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage using the touch panel is a nice touch. I never expected to find such high-quality tonkatsu in a shopping mall.

By the way, I realized that I haven't tried tonkatsu in Fukuoka. So I did some research and found a delicious tonkatsu restaurant in Lala Port, and apparently there's a life-size Gundam there too! I decided to check it out. Wow, the Gundam is huge and glowing, it's so exciting! There were people waiting in front of the restaurant, so while waiting, I checked the menu. They had Rokuhaku tonkatsu, which I saw at Katsuretsu in Kumamoto! I decided to try it. The pink cutlet looked so beautiful, I couldn't take my eyes off it. As always, they offered unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage. They also had wasabi, salt, lemon, and mustard as condiments, I couldn't decide which one to use. I tried a piece with each condiment. The mix of wasabi and salt was good, but I think I prefer it with sauce. Look at this pink meat, I've never seen meat with such a vibrant color before. The meat was so juicy and delicious, it was amazing. Finished my meal, it was delicious. Check out my daily blog here: http://oishiishashin.com/ I also started a tonkatsu specialty site: https://ton-katsu.com/

The pork cutlet was very tender and delicious. It came with plenty of condiments, and personally, I found that dipping it in sweet soy sauce with wasabi was the most delicious way to eat it! Additionally, the amount of mustard seeds, salt, and simply dipping it in tonkatsu sauce were also tasty options. It was a bit disappointing that there was not enough sesame to crush and mix with the sauce, but overall, I was very satisfied with the taste!

I visited this restaurant for the first time the other day and liked it so much that I went back again two weeks later. When I visited on a Saturday, I had to wait for about 30 minutes, but when I went on a weekday at exactly 12 o'clock, I was able to get in right away. Both times, I ordered the set with pork cutlet and shrimp fry. The pork cutlet was thick and tender, and the shrimp fry was large and satisfying. You can get free refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice.

Located in the food market of Canal City Hakata, this restaurant is a branch of the popular tonkatsu (pork cutlet) shop "Inokawazu" in Hakozaki. I had high expectations due to the rumors about the Hakozaki store, and it did not disappoint. Even though Canal City has become less crowded over time, there is always a line at this restaurant. I ordered the top rib loin katsu omotenashi set. As soon as I took a bite, I understood why there is always a line. The meat is tender and the breading is perfectly balanced. In addition to the sauce, there are various ways to enjoy it with karashi mustard, salted lemon, and wasabi soy sauce, all of which complement the dish well. You can choose the size of your rice and get free refills. The sweet miso soup and cabbage, unique to Kyushu, are also free for refills. And all of this for less than 2,000 yen! The cost performance is excellent, the restaurant is clean, and the staff's service is top-notch. I will definitely wait in line to eat here again.

During a regular lunchtime, the food court at the shopping mall was empty everywhere except for this place, which was packed. It's so popular! The smell of pork and frying oil wafts outside. I ordered the pork loin cutlet set meal. The cabbage was thinly sliced and fluffy, easy to eat with dressing. As for the tonkatsu... it was fried, but there were some red bloody parts inside the meat, giving it a gamey taste. It reminded me of the pork blood soup I had in Taiwan. It might be the flavor of pork, but since I'm not a fan of gamey taste, it didn't suit me very well. The pork fat wasn't overwhelming, it was slightly sweet and refreshing, with a good balance. They had various condiments like wasabi, salt, lemon, and mustard, which made it enjoyable. I also ordered the shrimp fry separately, and it was delicious - big, not dry, with a sweet taste. Thank you for the meal. Popular restaurant at Lala Port Fukuoka 【Tonkatsu Chisei】

On weekends, there was a wait time, but I made a reservation on the device and it showed a 25-minute wait. I wandered around until the scheduled time and when I returned, I was seated 10 minutes late. It's convenient not having to wait in line the whole time. The tonkatsu was cooked just right, maintaining a soft texture while being fried, and it was delicious.

I visited the second branch of Ino Kawazu, a popular restaurant, at Lalaport. I ordered the set with both top loin and fillet for 1500 yen, which seemed like a good deal. The portions were generous and filling, although the cabbage portion was a bit small. Rice can be refilled, and I opted for a large serving. The breading was coarse with a good smell of frying oil, but some parts were a bit oily. The meat was juicy. Fukuoka's tonkatsu industry is evolving, with some shops focusing on low-temperature frying, quality pork selection, and traditional breading and frying techniques. This shop seems to lean towards the traditional side. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the taste, considering it's a restaurant in Lalaport.

Located on the 3rd floor of Lala Port Fukuoka, just a little over a 5-minute walk from Takeshita Station. This is a branch of a shop in Hakozaki. The interior has a clean and casual atmosphere with both counter and table seating. I ordered the 200-gram Upper Loin Cutlet Set for 1400 yen (excluding tax) using a tablet. The breading is subtle, and the meat is tender with a hint of sweetness from the fat. You can enjoy it with salt lemon, mustard, wasabi soy sauce, or tonkatsu sauce. Eating it with salt was the most delicious. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage are all you can eat. For around 1500 yen, the taste was very satisfying!

Since the opening, I finally visited this place without having to wait in line. I ordered the most popular dishes, the top loin cutlet and the top sirloin cutlet set. The pork used is a carefully selected Kyushu brand pork that has been aged at low temperatures for about two weeks to bring out the maximum umami flavor of the pork. They use pure lard, melted from pork fat, for frying, which gives a rich aroma and deep flavor. The cabbage and pickles are all made from domestic ingredients, and the daily side dishes are handmade without any preservatives or additives. They use carefully selected Kyushu single-origin rice that pairs well with tonkatsu. The top loin cutlet had less fat than expected, with a good balance of thickness and texture. The top sirloin cutlet had a tender meat quality with a good flavor and satisfying bite. The lotus root side dish was surprisingly delicious. You can enjoy various condiments like lemon salt, wasabi soy sauce, whole grain mustard, and ground sesame original sauce for flavor variation. Rice, miso soup, cabbage, and pickles are all refillable. For this price, the quality and taste are excellent.

It was very delicious. I chose the set meal where you can enjoy both loin and fillet. In addition to the sauce, there were mustard seeds, salt, wasabi, and soy sauce (sweet Kyushu-style) for flavor variation, so I could enjoy eating without getting tired of it at all.

I visited a restaurant at LaLaport with my wife for lunch while shopping. We were seated at the counter and I noticed that the restaurant had a lot of attention to detail as a tonkatsu place. The phrase "A frog in a well knows nothing of the great ocean" caught my interest. I ordered the recommended tenderloin and pork loin set meal, thinking it might be too much food. I tried the lemon, wasabi soy sauce, original grain mustard, and special sauce, and they were all delicious! But my favorite was the wasabi soy sauce. It was a unique way to eat and I was impressed! However, maybe because the portion was too big or the food was too oily, I felt a little heavy after eating. I think I'll order a smaller portion next time.

■ Overall Review I went to Tonkatsu Chisho-san at the 3rd floor of Lala Port Fukuoka, thinking it might be the best tonkatsu in town. My partner had never tried it before, so that was also a reason. Personally, I think the best tonkatsu in Fukuoka is Kurenai no Buta in Miyama City, but in terms of overall balance, this place is probably the strongest. The reasons are as follows: - Located in Fukuoka City - Free parking available - They notify you by email when your table is ready - Unlimited cabbage and miso soup refills - Much cheaper compared to tonkatsu in Tokyo - Comfortable atmosphere like a chain restaurant with a low threshold - Simply delicious It's just so easy to visit. Compared to other tonkatsu chain restaurants, this one is much more accessible and delicious. Personally, I think it's a very convenient and ideal tonkatsu restaurant. Whenever I feel like having tonkatsu, this place has become my top choice. The fact that there is free parking and various shopping options at Lala Port makes it even more appealing. ■ Hire Katsu My partner ordered this dish. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the Hire Katsu that I ordered last time. Compared to the Hire Katsu, the Hire Katsu felt a bit greasy. The Hire Katsu has less fat, which emphasizes its umami flavor. What's great is that you can customize the flavor with the combination of grainy mustard and wasabi. If there was an option for ginger soy sauce, I would have added it. Thank you for the meal.

This is a tonkatsu restaurant at Lalaport. It is said to be a sister store of a famous tonkatsu restaurant in Higashi Ward. The tonkatsu is crispy, juicy, and delicious. The rice, miso soup, and cabbage are also tasty. It's a great place for those who want to enjoy a hearty tonkatsu meal. Additionally, depending on the time of day, you may be able to enter without much of a wait, which is a hidden bonus. Tonkatsu lovers will be satisfied here.

Various types of tonkatsu set meals that I often crave while dining out. Each restaurant has different characteristics such as the texture of the batter, thickness of the meat, and so on, making it enjoyable to try different places. One place that left a lasting impression on me recently was Inokawazu in Hakozaki. This restaurant is the flagship establishment of Ide Butcher Shop, which operates tonkatsu restaurants called Kinnotsuru in the Fukuoka area. Due to its limited seating, there is always a long line to get in. For a more casual dining experience, you can enjoy the same menu as Inokawazu at Chisho on the 3rd floor of the shopping mall "Lalaport Fukuoka." The name of the restaurant, Chisho, is derived from a proverb that continues "A frog in a well does not know the great ocean, but knows the blue of the sky." The menu is similar to Inokawazu, and the restaurant has a much larger seating capacity with 48 seats. I ordered the standard Hire Katsu set meal (200g) for 1400 yen, which came with shrimp fry and the usual sides of cabbage, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The tonkatsu was slightly thick with a hint of pink, and each piece had a different flavor when paired with wasabi, mustard, salt, or lemon. Personally, I enjoyed it with wasabi and mustard, but the standard tonkatsu sauce was also delicious. Despite my preference for thinner tonkatsu, I really liked the ones served here. You can have unlimited refills of cabbage and rice, but I opted not to this time. While the casual atmosphere may be different from Inokawazu, it was still a great place to enjoy delicious tonkatsu.

Tonkatsu restaurant on the 3rd floor of Lala Port Fukuoka. This is a popular tonkatsu restaurant in Higashi-ku Hakozaki, affiliated with Inokawazu. The interior has a modern Japanese feel, and you can see inside from the outside. It was early afternoon, but we waited for about an hour with around 7 groups ahead of us. Orders are placed using a touch panel, and you can also order extra rice, miso soup, and cabbage from this panel. This time, we ordered the premium loin and premium fillet tonkatsu set. The pork is carefully selected Kyushu brand pork that has been aged at low temperature for about 2 weeks to bring out the maximum flavor. The meat portion was quite substantial, and there were various condiments like wasabi, grain mustard, tonkatsu sauce, lemon, and salt to prevent getting tired of the taste, which was a lot. The meat has a decent thickness, but the premium beef from Rokushaku was cut thicker. The attention to detail and information provided is similar to the main store. The fillet had a slightly heavy texture, while the loin had a sweetness and crispy texture. In terms of volume and the convenience of waiting in line, this place might be more comfortable than the main store, especially considering the long lines at Inokawazu. When considering price and taste, I felt that Inokawazu may be more skillful even within the same affiliation.

I finally went to Inokawazu, a shop produced by Mr. Hakoasaki. It has finally calmed down at Lalaport. I went on a weekday around 11 am and there were only 3 groups of customers ahead of me. However, by noon, the seats were starting to fill up. Even though I waited for 2 hours at the Hakozaki branch, this time it was much more relaxed. If you have children or don't want to wait, this is the place to go. At the Hakozaki branch, I had the rib loin, so this time I wanted to try the shrimp fry! However, compared to the other branch, the shrimp was not as firm... Maybe my expectations were too high? Nevertheless, it was delicious and the shrimp was large and tasty, unlike those covered in too much batter. With unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage, at this price, the taste is definitely worth it. Next time, I will try the pork cutlet as the main dish. Pork loin and shrimp fry set meal ¥1,870. Payment by card.
