At the main branch near TBS in Akasaka, Tokyo, I had my first taste of "hitsumabushi" during my first year of work. My senior at the time took me there and treated me to hitsumabushi for about 5,000 yen. It was a moment when I decided in my heart, "My last supper will definitely be eel!" Leaving aside the nostalgic story, this was my first visit here. I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and got a waiting ticket as it was almost full. Since I was alone, I chose either a table or counter seat. Three minutes later, I was guided to the counter seat. I ordered a Premium Malt Beer [bottle] for 850 yen and the lunch hitsumabushi for 2,500 yen. Following the "instructions for eating" on the table, I enjoyed the hitsumabushi with the first cup as is, the second cup with condiments, the third cup as ochazuke, and the fourth cup with plenty of sansho pepper. It was very delicious.

I had the lunch special of eel over rice. I always order this dish, but the price has gone up, now over 3000 yen. It's a bit pricey, but the eel is always delicious and tender. The restaurant has a bright and clean interior, and I like the calm atmosphere.

Kanto-style eel in Kansai. Eating Kanto-style eel in Kansai gives a unique feeling. I started off with a beer and an eel roll. I debated whether I prefer the eel roll broth to be rich or light, but personally I think a richer broth is better. For the main dish, I ordered an eel rice bowl. The aroma was not very strong, but the eel itself was tender and easy to eat. The sauce was just the right amount, creating a well-balanced eel rice bowl. Thank you for the meal.

I was able to enter the restaurant around 12 o'clock on a weekday without much waiting. Despite being in a department store, the lunch was cost-effective and I enjoyed delicious hitsumabushi. The portion of rice was quite small, so I should have probably opted for a larger size. Lunch hitsumabushi costs 2500 yen including tax.

It had been a while since I had eel, and I had been waiting for the right timing for about two weeks. I had some errands at Daimaru that day, so I went to Akasaka Fukinuki on the 10th floor. I ordered Hitsumabushi Kiku for 6,800 yen, bone senbei for 750 yen, eel rolls (sold out), grilled eel liver (sold out), and kamaboko (ordered but didn't arrive). There was an incident where a bone got stuck in my wife's throat. Even after trying to eat takoyaki and drink beer, we couldn't get it out. The taste was excellent, with a perfect balance of lightness, sweetness, and depth in the sauce. The domestically produced eel was plump and delicious, and the hitsumabushi broth was fantastic. You could season the rice as much as you wanted. The rice was delicious, and the kids were eating eagerly. It seems it was still too early for eel, but it was so good. The service was very warm, with a veteran lady smiling and providing excellent service. Ah, writing about it made me want to eat it again. Eel is the best!

I wanted to eat eel, so I searched on the map and went to this restaurant. It was lunchtime and there was a wait of 8 people, indicating it was a popular spot. However, there was a reservation system in front of the store where you could input your reservation on the screen, and they would call you or you could check the order status on your smartphone. When my time came, I entered the restaurant and looked at the menu. I decided to order the "Unaju Bamboo" for 3,200 yen. The eel was not very thick, probably because it was reasonably priced, and I didn't feel much fat, but it was domestic eel. It was delicious. The pickles were also tasty with an elegant flavor. I would like to go there again.

I visited Akasaka Fukinuki at Daimaru Shinsaibashi store for the second time. I ordered the lunch set of hitsumabushi (2,500 yen) and it arrived in about 7 minutes. The table had instructions on how to eat hitsumabushi, so I followed them. The eel was tender and delicious, perfectly coated in sauce. You can enjoy it with various condiments and broth, so it never gets boring. However, the seaweed was a bit moist that day and the wasabi lacked its usual kick, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it's a delicious and cost-effective restaurant. The service was very polite, and they even brought a fresh pot of tea as I finished my meal. I will definitely come back here when I crave eel again!

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 and had the "Lunch Hitsumabushi". The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean. There are many female staff members, so the service is attentive. The Hitsumabushi was light and delicious, with just the right amount of portion. Thank you for the meal.

This is an eel restaurant located on the 10th floor of Daimaru in Shinsaibashi. I stopped by this place for lunch while shopping at the department store. I come here occasionally and quite like the Kanto-style eel they serve. This time, I was dining alone and was seated at the counter. I ordered the Unaju "Matsu". The restaurant was full that day, so it took a bit of time for the dish to be ready. The eel was delicious, but the size was a bit small and lacked the fluffy texture compared to before, leaving me slightly unsatisfied. This is just my opinion, and I would like to revisit the restaurant again.

The meat was tender and really delicious! Highly recommended. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff provided smooth service. The taste seemed to have changed a bit with the new sansho pepper, I preferred the previous one. Other than that, the food was consistently delicious! I will definitely come back to eat here again. Thank you very much.

I came back again! The menu was 3,000 yen for plum eel, and it seemed like the sansho pepper had changed, but I will come back to eat again♪ It was around 7 pm, but I was able to have a smooth meal! It's a place where you can easily go alone! There are both counter seats and tables.

I came back again! This time, I went to have lunch during a break from shopping. You can have the lunch in the photo for just around 1,600 yen! Isn't it cheap? I was satisfied once again and enjoyed the rest of my shopping before heading home. Thank you as always. I will come back again.

I don't know how many times I've been here. The eel here is plump and very delicious. I love it. My mother also loves the eel here, so we often come when we visit Shinsaibashi. The lunch eel bowl is 1980 yen, so I think it's a good deal. You can enjoy it not only on weekdays but also on weekends and holidays at this price. The pickles are also delicious. I will visit again soon. Thank you for the meal.

After shopping, we had eel! It came out quickly. I think it was 3,000 yen for the meal? There was an option for smoked and grilled eel for an additional 1,500 yen. We also tried the scallop daikon salad, which was delicious! I want to go back again.

On Christmas Eve, I went shopping in Shinsaibashi and had una-ju (eel on rice) at Fukinuki Daimaru Shinsaibashi store. I bought a cake in the basement and headed home early. For dinner, I had a simple meal of chicken, pizza, soup, and salad, and spent a relaxing evening.

I always go without a reservation and manage to get a table, which is convenient. My friend and I were seated at a table and we ordered the eel rice bowl as usual. We started with a toast with beer. After a short wait, the eel rice bowl arrived. We decided to sprinkle some sansho pepper on top before eating. The eel was soft and fluffy, very delicious. The flavor of the sansho pepper enhanced the taste even more. We felt that the sauce was a bit lacking, so we asked for more and they gladly brought it to us. We added a little more sauce and enjoyed our meal. The sauce was just the right balance of sweetness and spiciness, perfect for our taste. This time, we also found the eel liver dish to be delicious. Lately, whenever we crave eel, we find ourselves coming to this restaurant.

There is a shop on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi. We visited without a reservation, just the two of us, and it was relatively empty. We started with bottled beer. While sipping on our beer, the eel rice bowl arrived. We decided to sprinkle some sansho pepper on top before eating. The eel was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was just to my liking. The portion was just right. There was also eel liver, which was decent. I would like to try the grilled eel as well, but whenever I eat the eel rice bowl, I get too full to eat anything else. I hope to challenge myself to try the grilled eel someday.

Steamed and grilled Kanto-style eel. It's soft and fluffy, and the sauce is delicious. It's not easy to find eel restaurants in Osaka that steam their eel. Eel in Osaka tends to be quite tough, almost like it could cut your mouth. The restaurant is bright and clean inside. Recently, it gets crowded during lunchtime. The lunch special is an eel rice bowl. It comes with a whole eel, and it costs 2980 yen. For a smaller size, it's 1980 yen. I've been coming back quite often.
