月灯 小夜子
On weekends, after passing through Yanaka Ginza, head to the night market street and turn right, you will find a Korean restaurant. It used to be a takoyaki shop, which was always crowded with regular customers every night, but one day it changed to a Korean restaurant without any notice. The storefront remains the same as it was during the takoyaki days. Next to the takoyaki shop, there used to be a natural clothing store run by a young woman, which I really liked. However, when I passed by the next day after shopping, it was closed! The same thing happened to a similar designer goods store on Funamizaka Street, which the owner mentioned was closed suddenly. This made me think about the concept of "ingratitude" and how these stores closed without warning.
Returning to the topic of Korean cuisine, I had the hormone dish, which did not come with rice (I forgot the price), while my sister had the bulgogi set with a draft beer. We also ordered kimchi jeon as a side dish. Both sets had unlimited rice refills. The hormone dish contained three types of meat, including shirokoro, but I couldn't remember the names of the other two. They were willing to adjust the spiciness level upon request. The set meals were all priced in the 600 yen range, which I think is quite affordable considering the unlimited rice refills.
I also bought some kimchi to take home for the New Year, but unfortunately, the kimchi juice leaked in the supermarket bag. This time, when I asked for takeout, they had improved by using containers with tight-fitting lids, which gave me peace of mind. However, the interior of the restaurant is small, so it may be challenging for larger customers. The counter seats are narrow, and the back counter is not suitable for carrying large items. The restroom is located at the back of the restaurant, so it may be a bit difficult for larger customers. The cooking seems to be done by a Korean person, with a woman doing the dishes and a man handling the cashier and serving. I won't delve into their personal lives.
I couldn't help but wonder why two cute designer goods stores closed suddenly, but I won't speculate on the reasons.
