Located about a 2-minute walk from Ningyocho Station A4 exit, this is a branch of "Kiteretsu" which has been visited 15 times since its opening in January 2018. Although the lunch price increased during the consumption tax hike in October 2019 (from 1000 yen to 1200 yen), I have started revisiting the restaurant as lunch prices over 1000 yen have become more common. The atmosphere here is more stylish compared to the main branch located a little further away, making it more convenient in terms of location. In terms of taste, there isn't a significant difference between the two, so I find myself visiting this branch more frequently due to its proximity to my office. Inside the restaurant, there is a kitchen and counter seats on the left side, with tables set around the walls. The lunch menu is similar to the main branch, offering 3-4 daily set meals with assorted sashimi, but the main branch's popular menu item "Taimeshi" is not available here. Instead, the specialty at this branch is the "Kaisen Bakudan Don" which comes with negitoro, octopus, squid, yam, cucumber, and plenty of bonito flakes on top, served with seaweed and wasabi on the side. After enjoying half of it with soy sauce, add the marinated bonito from a separate dish, and finish it by pouring dashi to eat it like ochazuke. All this for 1000 yen is a great deal. If you opt for a large serving of rice (free of charge), you will be satisfied with the portion size as well. Since it's not available every day, if it's on the menu, consider yourself lucky and order the "Kaisen Bakudan Don!" Other dishes I have recently tried include fried red sea bream with sashimi, simmered red sea bream with sashimi, and grilled mackerel with garlic and sashimi, all of which were delicious. The fried red sea bream was firm and thick, providing a satisfying bite, while the lightly seasoned simmered red sea bream was filled with mountain vegetables and bean sprouts, making it a healthy meal option. The classic menu items like grilled salmon belly with sashimi, and grilled mackerel with yuzu and pepper with sashimi also never disappoint. Overall, if you're looking for a delicious fish-based lunch around Ningyocho Station, this restaurant is a very convenient and reliable choice.

Today for lunch, I came into this place to avoid the thunderstorm and ordered the Salmon Belly and Sashimi Set (1,200 yen). The amount of sashimi was slightly less than expected, but the quality of the fish was high and I was satisfied. Luckily, the thunderstorm passed while I was eating. I will definitely come back again.

Today, I took a stroll in Ningyocho. It's hot every day, so I was in the mood for something fish-based rather than heavy, and I found just the place! The interior had a stylish dining feel, with dishes centered around fish. It was perfect for my mood today. The appetizer was amazing, with homemade tofu topped with sake lees sauce and clam soup. The sake lees added a nice accent. The sashimi assortment even had abalone liver on top, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything I tried was delicious! I couldn't try it today because it was sold out, but I definitely want to try the angel shrimp pudding next time. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I last visited. This place is a good restaurant with a slightly elegant touch to the dishes. From the first mozuku seaweed to the potato salad, sashimi, and sake that kept flowing, to the finale of squid ink fried rice, everything was delicious. With the tasty sake, I left feeling satisfied with a full stomach.

I visited the restaurant after seeing good reviews on Tabelog. I made a reservation for a course with all-you-can-drink for 10,000 yen per person. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. The food in the course was lukewarm. There were many types of sake such as Shinsei and Jikomi, but there were no suggestions on how to enjoy them. Maybe I should have asked more questions. Overall, the cost performance for 10,000 yen per person was not good.

I visited the restaurant "Fish Eatery Kiteretsu" in Hori-dome Town. The smoked cod roe served with the potato salad was generously portioned and perfect for snacking on its own. Mixing it with the potato salad and adjusting the ratio was a great idea. The appetizers were very satisfying, especially the marinated tuna and abalone liver sauce which were outstanding. The flavor of the broccoli with miso paste complemented the sake well. The rolled omelette also had a strong shellfish flavor. The Sardines in oil with sansho pepper had a nice aroma and balanced the richness of the sardines. Pairing it with Hidaka-mi sake was a great choice. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I used it on a regular night. It's a course with all-you-can-drink at the counter. (Sorry, the sashimi platter is half-eaten lol) They served each dish separately for one person, so I didn't have to worry about sharing. Unfortunately, they were sold out of Kito and Kuzuryu, so I had other types of sake.

I visited around 1:30 pm on a weekday. There were a few customers already there, but I didn't have to wait to be seated. I ordered the mixed seafood and fried oyster set meal for 1200 yen, which I think I've had before. The sashimi was cut small, but the fish itself was delicious. They said it's better to cut it bigger, but I actually prefer it small as it's easier to eat and I like it that way. The fried oysters were also tasty. The amount of rice was just right. (Most of the salarymen seemed to order extra large portions.) The soup with celery was also delicious. It was nice to have something other than miso soup for a change. It was a good lunch.

A delicious seafood restaurant where you can enjoy fresh oysters. I arrived just after 12 pm on a weekday and was seated right away. I ordered the Oyster Fry Set (1,200 yen) which comes with sashimi, side dishes, rice, and miso soup. This restaurant is a sister store of Kiyakiteretsu. It had been a while since I last visited this location. I was immediately drawn to the crispy and fluffy oyster fry which came with four pieces! One thing I love about Kiyakiteretsu's lunches is that they all come with sashimi and side dishes! It's a great value set meal. The grilled Spanish mackerel with sansho pepper also looked delicious! Once again, I had a very satisfying lunch. If you're looking for affordable seafood in Ningyocho, I highly recommend this place! Thank you for the delicious meal! Check out my other posts as well! You can enjoy delicious fish and traditional Japanese cuisine here. The interior has a stylish atmosphere with a counter like a wine bar, but the food is authentic Japanese cuisine. The soup that comes out at the beginning warms you up. The fish is delicious, and personally, the oden was outstanding. There are also many menu items like mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and smoked herring roe that go well with drinks. It was delicious. I will definitely come back.

I visited the restaurant "Uo Shokudo Kiteretsu Horidomecho" with a rating of 3.46 on Tabelog. It is located in Ningyocho, a great location along the main street. The exterior is marked by a large sign, and the interior has counter seats and table seats. I visited for lunch and was impressed. It is a branch of Uo Yaki Kiteretsu, and I tried the hot oyster fry and sashimi. The meal also included tofu, pickles, miso soup, and rice, similar to the main store. The variety and balance of the dishes were great, and they looked appetizing. It was delicious and I can see why it's popular. It's a great restaurant.

On this day, I went to have fried oysters with a friend. It was before noon, but we were able to be seated right away as it wasn't too crowded. We ordered the fried oysters and the sashimi set meal for 1200 yen. The fried oysters were large and delicious, especially with the tartar sauce. It was definitely in season! The only downside was that there was a bit too little tartar sauce sometimes. The side dishes of amberjack sashimi, grilled mackerel, oboro tofu, and miso soup with seaweed were all quite high quality. The price might be a bit high for everyday use, but treating yourself once in a while is worth it! I had a great time!

I called the restaurant but it was full, so I visited in person. It was almost full even on a Sunday night. The lemon sour, croquettes, broccoli with sake lees sauce, and burdock were all very delicious. However, because it's made by just one person, the food took a long time to come out.

Ningyocho is the fourth stop of the izakaya crawl, and even though I'm already full, I can still eat fish dishes here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite ordinary, but the dishes are a step above with thoughtful choices. Especially the fish dishes are guaranteed to be delicious. Cheers with a Heineken! The Heineken glass is nice, and the "Angel Pudding with Shrimp" is so delicious (I had it a few years ago but the taste still lingers). The shirako and eggs are also delicious. Starting from the clam soup and carrot shirishiri as the appetizer, everything is incredibly tasty. I want to try other dishes at this restaurant.

The daily lunch special includes grilled fish. On this day, it was mackerel stew and fish fry. Another day, it was 3 oyster fries, all served with sashimi. The tofu and soup have a rich flavor, and the rice comes in a large portion for free. It seems like there are many women customers, as it is a popular spot. I will visit for drinks next time. I walked from Ningyocho intersection down Ningyocho Street towards Horidomecho. Just after turning right at the first traffic light, I came across a fish restaurant called "Isn't it Good~ Fish Eatery." Unlike other places that mainly focus on sashimi, this place emphasizes fish dishes as the main course with sashimi as a side. I decided to try this place out. It was a Saturday, so the restaurant was not too crowded. I imagine on weekdays, there would be a long line. I appreciate that they maintain the same business hours on weekends. Now, what should I order? They have sashimi, grilled dishes, and simmered dishes on the menu. Ah, they offer a set meal with both sashimi and simmered dish... a perfect combination! I decided to go with the greedy set meal of sashimi and simmered dish. The simmered dish with marlin soaked in flavorful broth was the perfect accompaniment to rice. The flavors were rich and satisfying. The simmered fish paired so well with the white rice, it was a beautiful sight. The fish was fresh and delicious. The simmered dish had a mature taste with a hint of bitterness, which was intriguing. The pickles served as a palate cleanser before diving back into the main dishes. The miso soup was replaced with clear soup, which was a comforting touch. The clear broth was a testament to their hospitality. Overall, the meal was satisfying and I left feeling grateful to have discovered this restaurant. I wonder how their takeout options like donburi or bento would taste, given the high satisfaction level at the restaurant.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. Now that the state of emergency is over, I visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant is located a short walk from Ningyocho towards Kodenmacho. It is in the basement of a building along Ningyocho Street. The interior has a casual atmosphere with counter seats and table seats. I started with a beer, specifically the Heartland beer. The appetizers were delicious and got me excited. They served a seafood broth soup and homemade tuna dip. These were so good that I could have had multiple rounds of sake with them. The dishes I ordered included: assorted sashimi, seared nodoguro, marinated egg yolk in sweet miso, cabbage pickles, grilled asparagus, and crab miso cream croquette. The sashimi included bonito, squid, octopus, mackerel, abalone, and more. Each person was served their own plate. The fish was fatty and delicious, while the shellfish was tender and sweet. The seared nodoguro was particularly amazing! It went perfectly with lemon salt. The marinated egg yolk was soft and soaked in miso, making it a great snack with sake. The cabbage pickles were a nice palate cleanser. The asparagus became even more delicious as I ate it. It was sweet and tender. I still had some room in my stomach after all that, so I ordered the crab miso cream croquette. It was my first time trying crab miso, but it was rich and flavorful without any fishy taste. It paired surprisingly well with sake. I had Eiko, Kyotsuryu, Dojima, and Hidashime sake. There were more options available, but I couldn't finish them all. Everything I ate was delicious, the atmosphere was great. I found a good restaurant! I will definitely come back when I want to drink sake again.

The scorching heat continued into the first week of August, and at lunchtime, I visited a restaurant called "Kiteretsu" in Ningyocho. Despite the nostalgic name reminiscent of the old TV anime "Kiteretsu Encyclopedia," this place is actually a stylish fish restaurant. The interior had a jazz soundtrack playing, and after sanitizing my hands and getting my temperature checked, I was seated at the counter. I chose the "Daily Fish Lunch" with grilled mackerel and sashimi for 1,200 yen. The dish arrived with a generous portion of both items, and the sashimi was fresh and delicious. The grilled mackerel was fatty and flavorful, and the homemade tofu in a savory sauce was a nice touch. While the price was a bit high compared to other options in the area, the quality of the meal justified it. I would give it a 7 out of 10.
