During our trip to Hokkaido, four friends and I visited this restaurant. The horse meat platter and horse meat stew were incredibly delicious. And the Sapporo Classic beer was too good. It was summer so we didn't try the motsunabe (tripe hot pot), but I would like to try it if I visit during the colder season. I would definitely come back motivated by the desire to eat horse meat.

Upon the request for motsu nabe, we made a reservation for a course featuring black wagyu motsu nabe. The course also included a platter of horse sashimi, smoked horse meat, and three types of cherry blossom sushi for tasting. In addition to the motsu nabe, we enjoyed various dishes featuring horse meat, and everything was delicious. The highlight was definitely the black wagyu motsu nabe, which we had with a salt base this time. Amongst the many options out there, the quality was top-notch.

I went to search for a place where I could eat delicious horse meat. Horse meat is said to be healthier and richer in iron compared to other meats, so I hope more delicious horse meat restaurants will open in Sapporo. I tried horse sashimi and horse meat sushi. There were so many menu options that I couldn't finish in one visit, so I want to go back again. The restaurant provided warm knee blankets in case we got cold in the sunken kotatsu seating area.

I went to Susukino for a meal after a long time. Originally, it was planned for four people, but the situation changed so we decided to go with just two people and have a quiet drink in a semi-private room. The restaurant was quite busy, about 80% full. We ordered a special course that was arranged without the hot pot since it's not the season for it, and added items like tamagoyaki and hormone teppanyaki. We ordered highballs and made a toast to our long-awaited drinking party! The service here is great, and the menu, centered around horse meat dishes, is quite extensive and delicious. This was my third time here, and I think it's one of the top places in Sapporo for motsunabe. It was a shame we couldn't have that this time, but we enjoyed trying other dishes instead. At one point, we even had a drink with the restaurant's president and had a great time together. Horse meat really is delicious! Thank you for the meal.

All-you-can-drink, complimentary appetizer, horse sashimi platter (3 types) for 6028 yen. This is a very stylish restaurant where you can enjoy horse meat and motsu hot pot. This time, I focused on enjoying the horse meat! I am grateful to the attentive staff for their service. The complimentary appetizer consisted of simmered dish, tofu, and Matsumae pickles on top, which was quite delicious. The yukhoe was also delicious. I could taste the deliciousness of the lean meat and couldn't stop eating. The alcohol also went well with the food! The horse sashimi platter included various cuts from fatty to lean meat, each served with different soy sauce and vinegar miso. Everything was delicious! It was a great place to enjoy both food and drinks. Looking at the menu, it seems like the course menu might offer better value for the money!?

Just a 2.3-minute walk south from Susukino Station, you'll find this restaurant. I searched for a place to eat motsunabe, and this place popped up. The atmosphere inside is calm and relaxing. You'll be guided to a table seat a little up the stairs where you take off your shoes. I wish it was a sunken kotatsu table since my legs tend to get numb, but I'll manage. I ordered the motsunabe I came for. While waiting for the pot to boil, I had cheese tempura and horse meat yukhoe. I enjoy yukhoe and often order it if it's on the menu, but this place specializes in horse meat, and it was incredibly delicious. The meat itself was very tasty, not just the seasoning. When the pot was ready, I dug in. The chewy motsu was delicious. I couldn't help but order more motsu. Hot pot in this season is great. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the top-ranked restaurant that serves delicious motsu nabe (offal hot pot) in Shimacho☆ It's still cold outside so motsu nabe is the best choice! The motsu nabe at this place is made with black wagyu beef offal, and you can choose the flavor - I went with the salt flavor. The broth is light and we also enjoyed the champon noodles and zosui (rice porridge) at the end. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service and the fact that they charge 200 yen for extra broth for the motsu nabe. I usually don't encounter this at other places so it was a letdown. I started with the cherry yukhoe (raw horse meat) which was okay but not great for the price. They also offer all-you-can-drink options, but there are many restrictions so it ended up being more expensive than expected. Overall, my second visit was a bit underwhelming...

We revisited Himesakura with 3 friends, all in a close friendship, a month in advance due to the busy year-end season. We made a reservation for a semi-private loft seat and enjoyed a meal. We started with a toast with Tribi. [Himesakura Gold Course: 10,000 yen including tax] ◆ 2 seasonal appetizers ◆ 5 types of horse sashimi ◆ Tan stew ◆ Salad ◆ Sukiyaki peach pot (premium horse meat pot) ◆ Sakura ham & tongue smoke ◆ Premium Sakura sushi 5 types ◆ Dessert ◇ All-you-can-drink for 120 minutes (1,500 yen). This time, we enjoyed the highest Gold Course for 10,000 yen with an additional all-you-can-drink option for 1,500 yen. The horse meat was undeniably delicious, but the sukiyaki was left without any explanation or service. When we asked, the staff said, "You can cook it yourself." It was surprising for a course that costs 10,000 yen. The drink orders were also very slow, and it was disappointing compared to when we visited 5 years ago. Thank you for the meal.

We visited Himezakura on a Monday around 7 pm with two people. It was a weekday and the table seats were full, so we were seated at the counter. It was a cold day with snow forecasted, so we wanted to eat some warm motsunabe and decided to try Himezakura, which had good reviews on Tabelog. We ordered the Miso Cheese Motsunabe, Cheese Zosui (rice porridge), Sakura Dashi Tamago (rolled omelette with cherry blossom flavor), and the premium seared sushi. While waiting for the motsunabe to cook, we tried the rolled omelette, which was fluffy and tender with a delicious balance of dashi and sweet-salty seasoned horse meat inside. It was so delicious that it might have been the best dish of the day. When the motsunabe was ready, we found the motsu to be large and plump with a good amount of oil, unlike the motsu at cheaper places that shrinks and disappears. The texture and taste of the motsu were excellent, and there was plenty of it for two people. The soup was rich with a strong garlic flavor but not too overpowering. I personally prefer a thicker, saltier soup, but the slightly thickened soup towards the end was my favorite. For the finale, we had the Cheese Zosui, which was rich and delicious with plenty of cheese. For those who chose the Miso Cheese soup, I highly recommend the Cheese Zosui! The only disappointment was the premium seared sushi. We were excited for it as a finisher, but unfortunately, it was over-seared and the meat was tough with a slightly unpleasant smell. It seemed like the staff had seared it too much, which was a letdown. I wish I had just ordered the horse sashimi instead. I look forward to trying the soy sauce motsunabe and the classic horse meat next time. The owner saw us off to the elevator on our way out, which left us with a good feeling, so we definitely want to visit again. I love such restaurants! Thank you for the meal!

The taste is delicious but the speed of serving the food is slow, and the portion is very small. Even for small eaters, it was not enough at all. With a little over 10,000 yen for two people, we were only somewhat satisfied. Poor cost performance.

There are surprisingly few horse meat restaurants in Sapporo. Among them, the quality of the food here is high. The horse sashimi is delicious, and the hot pot dishes are also delicious. Even though we were a party of two, they served each person's portion on separate plates instead of a shared platter, which was nice. They offer a variety of sake in addition to shochu. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good, and there are many young customers, which is a plus. However, it was questionable when a salad of raw vegetables suddenly appeared in the middle of the Sakura Nabe course. I think it was a mismatch. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

This was my first experience trying horse meat, and it was at this restaurant. Thanks to that, I have come to love horse meat so much that I always order it whenever it's on the menu wherever I go. The motsunabe at this restaurant left a so-so impression, but the horse sashimi and sushi were delicious. When I made a reservation and arrived at the restaurant, it was so quiet that I wondered if they were not open yet, which made me a bit anxious. I didn't particularly like the atmosphere and seating at the restaurant, but my overall impression is simply that the horse meat was delicious.
