There is a Kojima Electric store on the 2nd floor, so it is very convenient and I use it often. The Miyata City Hall is right next door, and in the past, the 1st floor used to be a retail store and the 2nd floor was a bowling alley. Our family used to frequent it a lot back then (lol). Today, I used the bakery on the 1st floor and chose a delicious-looking ham cutlet sandwich and hamburger without hesitation. Both were very filling for the price. The taste was just average, but I would consider coming back. You can also buy bento boxes in Kugayama, but they are not as tasty (lol).

This is the Summit Store located next to the Mitaka City Hall. It is along the Mitaka Street. I bought two items from the deli corner. Ikafurai Nori Bento (397 yen) and Vegetable Gyoza with domestic ingredients (shiso flavor) 5+1 pieces (197 yen). Ikafurai Nori Bento: The size of the bento is not that big, but the toppings on the nori rice give it a sense of volume. It includes croquette 1/2, fried squid, bamboo ring tempura 1/4, kakiage tempura (bite-sized), shumai, half-boiled egg 1/2, kinpira gobou, and pickled shiba. The volume of the toppings stimulates the desire to purchase! The only delicious item is the fried squid with a slightly sweet and savory sauce. The shumai is not good. Overall, for 397 yen (excluding tax), it is decent in terms of cost-performance. Vegetable Gyoza with domestic ingredients (shiso flavor): The gyoza skin has a chewy texture, which is good. It already has some seasoning, so it is tasty even as it is. However, I like to add the included sauce and chili oil to enhance the flavor while enjoying it as a snack with a drink. It is a bit underwhelming when it cools down, but reheating it brings out the strong aroma of shiso and chives, making it even more delicious.

Summit is a supermarket located near Mitaka City Hall, as the name suggests. It is situated in the same building as the electronics store Kojima, and on weekends, the parking lot can get so crowded that there is often a wait to get in. Depending on the day of the week, there are many discounted items available in the evening, attracting customers looking for a good deal. I tried the simmered anago sushi (630 yen + tax), which was a new product with a sticker indicating so. The anago was soft and the seasoning was gentle, making it surprisingly delicious for supermarket sushi. [Visited again on April 7, 2015] They had a liver marinated in sauce, which was a perfect appetizer with a good taste.

Visit date: February 24, 2015 This Summit Store is located very close to Mitaka City Hall. Access from the station is not great, about a 10-minute bus ride to the city hall. Therefore, it is mainly used by people living nearby for shopping purposes. On this day, I purchased chicken tempura, wiener potatoes, a dim sum trio, and coleslaw. The quality-price ratio is average. I always buy the dim sum trio, and the spring rolls, in particular, show careful craftsmanship. I think they are delicious. None of the deli items stand out as exceptional, but on the flip side, none of them are disappointing. They offer a variety of deli items that you can purchase with peace of mind. They also have a rest area where you can relax after purchasing bento or deli items.

Near the summit, there are few competing stores, so the fresh produce is very expensive and in small quantities. The seafood looks tired and gets worse over time. What's worse is that when the expiration date is near, they put the products back in the store, reduce the quantity, and then put a half-price sticker on them. This was not the case in the past, and I remember there used to be good quality seafood. Now, it's rare to find seafood that looks appetizing. I end up buying seafood from other stores. The meat, especially the cheaper cuts of beef and pork, become watery when cooked. The injected meat is also sold at a high price compared to other stores. They also sell meat without packaging, but the prices are similar to other stores without offering better quality. The bento and side dishes have also deteriorated. The taste seems to have worsened, probably due to changes in the cooking staff. Previously, most of the side dishes were discounted around 8 o'clock, but now they rarely go on sale for half price, and they stay on the shelves until the last minute. The fried foods are no longer original and have a strange reused oil smell. The salads are not fresh and not recommended. One good point is that you can find high-quality seasonings here, although they are a bit pricey. The dressings, mayonnaise, and spices section near the entrance and in the middle have good quality products. The bakery inside also offers high-quality bread, so it's worth a visit. The spacious bike and car parking is also a plus.
