There is a convenience store across from Ishihara Shokudo in Mitaka. I bought a lemon craft chu-hi, Mediterranean lemon flavor, which I had never seen before and is likely a new product. The refreshing taste of lemon is very good, and I can easily drink it.

It's a bit far from Mitaka Station, but I found a FamilyMart in the Mitaka area. I'm not sure if it's a limited-time offer, but I found something called "Gyoza Man" and decided to buy it. It's shaped like a gyoza, and inside is a seasoned filling that tastes like gyoza with hints of chili oil and chives. It has a strong flavor, but the dough was a bit cheap and too soft. It would have been better if the dough was more delicious.

I found something outrageous at the FamilyMart along the bus street heading towards Mitaka Station, so even though it cost 398 yen and was labeled as a limited-time offer, I bought it immediately (lol). It's called the "Ebi-Ten Sandwich" - what in the world is that? In short, it's a tricky sandwich that consists of spicy mayonnaise spread on sandwich bread, with tempura shrimp (Ebi-Ten) from a tempura rice bowl sandwiched in between. Well, it's not bad, but it's not something worth spending 400 yen on... I guess products like this sell because there are people like me who are willing to take a chance on them. Plus, I have a weakness for limited-time offers... (crying and laughing) (+o+)

Hello, I'm Chi, a reviewer of various things. Today, I was rejected by the ramen shop I wanted to go to, so I decided to take a stroll and eat my usual while heading back to the station. I tried the "Spicy Stir-Fried Highball" dish, but I didn't feel much spiciness. The highball was concentrated at the bottom, so it might be hard to reach it from the top. Maybe this amount is just right, not too overwhelming.

I tried the 100 yen onigiri sale at FamilyMart this time, after enjoying the last one at Seven Eleven. However, unlike Seven Eleven, there are only 6 items on sale for 100 yen. The available items are: Hand-rolled Spicy Cod Roe (140 yen), Hand-rolled Red Salmon (140 yen), Straight-rolled Chicken Gomoku (120 yen), Straight-rolled Chicken Rice (120 yen), Straight-rolled Japanese-style Tuna Mayonnaise (110 yen), and Hand-rolled Kombu (110 yen). Unfortunately, my favorite "cod roe" is not available. It seems that FamilyMart does not carry it in their lineup. Disappointing. Nonetheless, as the next best option, I purchased the Hand-rolled Red Salmon (140 yen). The taste was good, with a nice balance of saltiness from the salmon and rice. However, the rice itself was better in the onigiri I had from Seven Eleven before. The portion size was also larger at Seven Eleven. Overall, it was tasty, but I don't think I would buy it at the regular price. Anyway, thanks for the meal. *I tried to take a photo of the cross-section of the onigiri, but it didn't come out well, so I had to discard it. The 100 yen sale is until August 25th (Monday).

Date of visit: July 24, 2014 Located in Mitaka City, about a 5-minute walk from Mitaka Station. This convenience store seems inconvenient at first glance, with no parking lot and facing a narrow street, but it surprisingly has quite a few customers. It seems like many people use it for a quick lunch break on their way to work. I sat down here and enjoyed a drink to cool off. There are about 8 seats available, and in the summer, there were some stylish decorations on the tables. It was just a brief moment, but I was grateful for the hospitality.
