On this day, it was my son's birthday. Naturally, we went to "Hama," right? Uh, yes. We had the steak lunch (3,850 yen including tax), which included:
- Grilled vegetables
- Black Wagyu fillet steak 130g (my son had the 150g sirloin)
- Salad
- Rice, miso soup, pickles
- Dessert
- Coffee or tea
I paid an extra 660 yen to switch to Hama's original garlic rice. The ingredients were cooked in front of us. They were delicious and my son was happy. I used the restaurant in September 2023.

Second visit. This time we went with family, so we had a spacious semi-private room. We ordered the abalone course, but since I can't eat shellfish, they kindly changed it to shrimp for me. It was really delicious. The kids loved the meat and fried rice.

When it comes to birthdays, it's almost like Hamano Steak...! I get excited when someone's birthday is approaching. (By the way, I've never used it on my own birthday... haha) This day I had it cooked medium. It's delicious even when cooked thoroughly. The garlic rice was fluffy and delicious in my mouth. When I mentioned it was for a birthday celebration when making a reservation, they prepared a dessert plate for us. Although I didn't mention my age on this day, when I used it for my child's birthday before and wrote down their age, the plate also had "th" written on it, which made me happy. The atmosphere and taste of the restaurant are wonderful. It's one of the restaurants that makes me want to visit again. Used in December 2022.

There was a celebration so we went with our relatives. We were guided to a semi-private room with a long teppanyaki grill. The course included:
- Appetizer (beef stew)
- Vegetables (asparagus, spinach, bean sprouts)
- Filet mignon
- Crab (I have a shellfish allergy so I had a substitute)
- Garlic rice
- Miso soup
- Dessert and coffee
The children had:
- Fried rice with various ingredients
- Filet mignon
- Dessert
- Crab a la carte
The food was all so delicious, we were impressed by the tenderness and juiciness of the meat, the addictive flavor of the garlic rice, and the surprise of the thick crab legs with concentrated umami. The children also enjoyed the meal and ate a lot. The service was excellent, they provided children's chairs and cutlery, and for the child who fell asleep, they arranged chairs like a bed and even lent a blanket. We were supposed to have dessert in a separate room, but since the child was sleeping, they allowed us to have it at the teppanyaki table. Thank you very much. We would love to go back again.

I visited a restaurant where they cook the meat right in front of you. I was nervous. They said the lunch was cheap, but it still felt very upscale to me. I ate each bean sprout and each finely chopped onion carefully, not wanting to waste anything. It was delicious. Thank you for taking me there. - Asako Kishi

On a regular day, I received a sudden invitation on LINE in the morning to go to Sapporo together. The purpose was some kind of exhibition or art show, but before that, we decided to have lunch. When asked if I preferred meat or fish, I chose meat, so we ended up at this place. The lunch menu ranged from 2,200 yen to 11,000 yen, and we chose the Hamalunch for 5,500 yen, which included king crab teppanyaki, grilled vegetables, black wagyu beef loin steak or fillet steak, salad, rice, pickles, miso soup, dessert, and coffee or tea. I remembered coming here once for dinner for a friend's birthday celebration, but this was my first time having lunch. I opted for the steak, which was initially delicious but quite fatty. I tried a bite of my friend's fillet steak, and it was lighter and more tender, so I regretted my choice a bit. The wine made me crave for more, but I settled for the house wine instead of ordering a bottle. It was medium-bodied with a mild acidity and tannins, but I found it a bit lacking. I ended up feeling a bit tipsy and sleepy after the meal, but I had to focus on my mission of attending the exhibition. We hailed a taxi and headed to our destination.

I was invited while on a business trip to Sapporo! Although there are similar restaurants in Tokyo, this was my first visit and I was impressed. It's a great place for entertaining guests. I think it's perfect for when you want to impress someone special or celebrate a special occasion. It would be even better if they had a welcome bar. The chef cooked the course meals right in front of us with skill and the ingredients were top-notch. It was a feast for the eyes as well. Of course, the food was delicious! This restaurant is suitable for various occasions. I'm grateful for the recommendation of such a great place.

The other day, when deciding on a restaurant to go for dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, my husband and I had a discussion. Chiisuke: I feel like having French cuisine. Husband: I feel like having Japanese cuisine. After some discussion, we decided to go for teppanyaki. My husband made a reservation at "Steak House Hama Sapporo." I think the course was around 15,000 yen. Here is what we ate:
- Smoked salmon tartare: Tartare of smoked salmon inside a crepe. My husband, who loves salmon, praised it.
- Crab teppanyaki: Originally it was supposed to be live shrimp, but I can't eat shrimp so they changed it to crab. It was a safe choice in terms of taste.
- Sauteed Ezo abalone: Great aroma and texture, goes well with Chablis. The thick kelp was also delicious, especially the abalone liver on the bread was amazing.
- Grilled vegetables: Thick sauteed shiitake mushrooms with butter and soy sauce.
- Beef fillet steak: I chose the fillet and ordered it medium. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the garlic chips were nice. However, the sauce for the meat... two types came out, but why chili sauce? It didn't match the delicious taste of the beef, unnecessary.
- Sauteed spinach: Served separately from the steak, with a good texture and buttery flavor.
- Hama-style mixed fried rice & garlic rice: I ordered both and they were served separately. The rice on the teppan was perfect in texture and flavor.
- Dessert: Fondant au chocolat with gelato, fruits on a dessert plate with coffee. The gelato was rich and had a good mouthfeel.
The atmosphere is calm and you can enjoy a leisurely meal, making it great for anniversaries or dates. The staff's service was excellent, and I don't often go to teppanyaki restaurants, but I thought this one was really good. They also have affordable lunch options, so I'd like to try that next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This time we ordered everything a la carte, but everything was delicious. We left the grilling of the meat up to the chef, and it turned out to be the right decision. The grilling was adjusted perfectly depending on the quality of the meat, so both marbled and lean cuts were delicious. The seafood, including fresh abalone and shrimp cooked perfectly, was also great. If I had to nitpick, I wish there were a few more options for wine.

We went to Steakhouse Hamahama. We shared the lunch set with fillet for 2000 yen and sirloin for 3000 yen for a quick lunch with a friend. The meal included pickles and salad as appetizers, and the chef brought out the meat. This was followed by white rice and miso soup. We ordered the fillet rare and the sirloin medium. The cost performance was amazing. We enjoyed the original soy sauce-based onion sauce, which was refreshing due to the lightness of the onions and didn't make the meat too heavy. We requested salt from the chef. The direct way to taste the umami of the meat is with salt. The umami of the sirloin fat was enhanced by the salt. It was delicious. We also had stir-fried onions and bean sprouts with mustard soy sauce, which went well with the rice. Next, we had spinach and sirloin fat butter sauté. The fat was crispy and easy to eat. It paired well with the spinach. The white rice was sweet, and refills were free. We couldn't resist getting seconds. The miso soup with nameko mushrooms stayed hot for a long time, making us feel warm inside. For dessert, we were surprised to be led to another room. There were grapes, kiwi, cheesecake, grape sherbet, fruit pancakes, and orange puree. We could choose coffee or tea for drinks. It was a great deal. The attentive service was also outstanding. They kept refilling our water without us having to ask. We definitely want to go back again.

I visited the famous restaurant Hama in Sapporo for dinner. The restaurant was clean and had a luxurious atmosphere. The menu consisted of courses only. The dishes were cooked on a teppan right in front of us, so they were hot and delicious. The sautéed abalone came with a refreshing ponzu sauce and plenty of seaweed. The meat was nicely marbled and tender, and you could season it with salt or sauce to your liking. The light salt seasoning really brought out the deliciousness of the meat. For dessert, I had garlic rice, miso soup, pickles, and coffee, and left feeling satisfied.

It's been a while since I had teppanyaki. The abalone steak and fillet steak were both delicious!! We had two bottles of wine for six people, so it ended up being over 25,000 yen per person.
