This is a Chinese restaurant in Kanamachi. It tends to get crowded during lunchtime on weekdays, with people coming in steadily. It seems to be a popular spot for people who frequent the Chinese restaurants in the area at night. Despite always being full, the service is efficient and the food arrives quickly. I ordered the sweet and sour pork set for 700 yen, which came with rice, soup, side dishes, pickles, and dessert. The portion of pork was generous, but the vegetables were a bit too crunchy for my liking. The taste was average, but considering the price and the fact that dessert was included, the restaurant offers good value for money.

The restaurant name "Yangzhou Tatsujin" in Tokyo's Katsushika ward, near JR Joban Line Kanamachi Station, serves ramen and Chinese cuisine. The name is similar to the well-known ramen chain "Yangzhou Shonin" in the Kanto region. I ordered the daily special B set, which included Nira Tamago Ramen and half Cha-han for 770 yen. The restaurant was crowded and the kitchen seemed to be understaffed, with the sound of clanging Chinese woks in the background. After a 20-minute wait, my meal arrived. The Nira Tamago Ramen was hot and delicious, with plenty of nutrients and stamina. The half Cha-han, however, was lacking in flavor and texture. Overall, the meal was satisfying with the addition of pickled cucumbers and mini almond jelly.

I thought I was visiting a restaurant, but the owner had changed and the name as well. I had planned to go to the cozy izakaya "Shiki," but due to a change in plans, I decided to visit this place with a good crowd. I chose one dish each from the ABC section of the small plate menu. The prices for ABC were different, but the total came to around 1200 yen, making it a good deal. I can't remember if it was 1100 yen or 1200 yen for three dishes, but the gyoza was 200 yen for a plate of 5, and the large bottle of beer was 480 yen during happy hour. The gyoza was surprisingly delicious with plenty of vegetables and a sweet flavor. I'm glad I ordered two plates. I always want five gyoza per person. The sauce for the century egg tofu was delicious. The negi chashu had a spicy seasoning that went well with beer. Lastly, I ordered the hot and sour soup noodles. The soup alone was satisfying enough. The hot and sour soup noodles had a quite spicy flavor, but the noodles had a good firmness and didn't break when pulled. It's important to check the crowd rather than relying on social media reviews. Ah, it was delicious.

Soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and shark fin dumplings. These didn't feel like they were made in-house. The chicken and cashew stir-fry was a bit too rich for my taste, but it was delicious.

Mapo tofu is highly recommended. It has a rich flavor and that spiciness becomes addictive! There is a variety of drinks available, including the popular ones, as well as Shaoxing wine. The Shaoxing wine is so delicious that you might end up drinking too much of it.

In the evening, I met a friend at Kanamachi Station. We decided to have some light dinner while chatting. We felt like having Chinese food, so we visited Yangzhou Tatsujin. We chose one item each from Group A, Group B, and Group C on the first page of the menu for 1,100 yen. For the last order, we decided on fried rice and chose some appetizers - Bang Bang Chicken, Zha Cai, and Sand Gimo - all three were delicious. We also ordered some grilled dumplings, which were as tasty as always. We couldn't resist ordering fried peanuts, a common choice in Chinese restaurants. To finish off, we had yakisoba with five ingredients and lettuce fried rice. My friend really liked the fried rice. We intended to have a light meal, but we ended up ordering too much and were quite full. The Chinese cuisine was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I had lunch in Kanamachi. While there are many delicious standing soba shops around the station, today I felt like having Chinese food. When I crave Chinese food in Kanamachi, my feet always lead me here. I used to visit this place often, but lately I haven't had any reasons to come to Kanamachi, so it's been a while since my last visit. The lunch menu ranges from 600 to 800 yen. The place was almost full when I visited for lunch that day. In addition to the regular menu, there are also 2-3 daily specials. Although the green pepper pork here is delicious, since it's been a while, I decided to go with the mapo tofu. The mapo tofu here (600 yen) is slightly spicy, maybe with doubanjiang. The sweet and savory seasoning is irresistible. The meat mixed with the tofu is not ground meat from a machine, but rather feels like it was cut with a knife, giving it a satisfying texture. I started with the chilled tofu side dish before my mouth got too spicy. It was seasoned with Chinese soy sauce, which was a bit sweet. It was delicious. Finally, I dug into the mapo tofu. I mixed in the sprinkled Sichuan peppercorns and put it on top of the hot rice. It looked appetizing and the ratio of mapo tofu to rice was about 2:1. This perfect match was irresistible. "Delicious!" I exclaimed. While I could have gotten a refill of rice, I wanted to enjoy the ample side dishes, so I resisted. I finished it all in one go. I cooled down my now spicy mouth with almond jelly for dessert. Finally, I took a sip of cold tea. The food here is really delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I was wandering around looking for a late lunch near Kinshicho Station North Exit. I saw familiar chain restaurants like Gusto and Gyudon places, but I didn't feel like eating that kind of food specifically in Kinshicho. As I walked a bit further, I came across this restaurant with a very authentic Chinese exterior. The inside was a bit dimly lit, which made me hesitate to go in, but I didn't have much time for lunch, so I decided to give it a try. I sat at a solid table inside the restaurant and looked at the lunch menu. To my surprise, everything was quite affordable, ranging from around 600 to 800 yen. They had gyoza for 200 yen (5 pieces) listed on the wall. I ordered my usual favorite, the leek and liver set meal. It was served in about 5 minutes. The leek and liver dish, rice, soup, pickles, cold tofu, and almond jelly dessert cost only 650 yen. It was a great deal. The leek and liver had a refreshing taste, not as strong as it looked. There was no liver smell, and it tasted delicious with the added vinegar. The soup had seaweed and egg in it, with a thick Chinese soup texture. For 650 yen, this meal had great value, much more satisfying than a gyudon. Looking at the regular menu, I noticed that the prices for dinner were also very reasonable. They had a variety of standard dishes, so there were many options to choose from. I was a bit surprised that there were no reviews on Tabelog, but I think this restaurant is definitely a good choice in the Kinshicho area.
