When you leave Tokyo Station Marunouchi, you will see Shin Marunouchi Building right in front of you. Located on the 5th floor of this building is a yakitori restaurant called "Torao". While it is a yakitori restaurant, it has a unique concept that incorporates game meat into its courses. The restaurant offers a fantastic view of the illuminated Tokyo Station from inside, creating a lovely atmosphere. The clientele includes business entertainers, friends, and couples, and there are counter seats as well as tables by the window. On this day, we tried the Torao Yakitori Game Meat Course with 20 items (7,150 yen including tax). The chicken used is Kuroiwa Jidori, and the course includes yakitori, vegetables, followed by grilled deer and boar skewers. The popular chicken ikura dish is served on a battleship. One interesting dish is the sausage made with deer and oysters. When you taste it, you can indeed feel the flavor of oysters blending perfectly with the wild taste of deer meat. There is also a hot pot with deer and boar, seamlessly incorporating game meat into the course. For the finale, you can choose between ramen or oyakodon. The variety of dishes served at this price point, coming out one after another in a well-paced manner, shows the restaurant's dedication to entertaining its customers. Below are the dishes we enjoyed: - Seasonal appetizers platter with 5 items - Chicken tenderloin with wasabi - Gizzard with a pleasant texture - Chicken white broth soup - Akamomo (chicken thigh) with a strong and unique flavor - Oyster and deer sausage - Brussels sprouts - Chicken ikura (salmon roe) - Deer and boar thigh skewers - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Grilled new potatoes - Botan (peony) and momiji (maple) hot pot - Chicken white broth ramen - Dessert The operation was smooth, and we enjoyed a wide variety of dishes. Overall, it was a dining experience that was not too heavy like yakiniku, making it a convenient and enjoyable restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

■September 2023 Visit I visited for the second time because the food was delicious last time. This time, the menu has changed slightly, so I decided to revisit. The restaurant offers a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy the illumination of Tokyo Station, making it perfect for dates or girls' nights out. With a concept of "connecting producers with consumers" and "bringing out the power of ingredients," they are particular about their ingredients. 【Course Name】 Torio's Specialty! Grilled Chicken and Game Meat Course with Seasonal Vegetables 20 items for 7,150 yen (tax included) 【Highlights】 - Peony and Autumn Leaf Hot Pot: A soy sauce-based soup made with deer bones. The flavors of deer and wild boar meat seep out, making the vegetables and mushrooms increasingly delicious. I finished all the soup. - Chicken Shoyu Ramen: The chicken shoyu broth is rich yet delicate. It was a perfect amount for the finish and very delicious. 【Full Menu】 - Assorted 5 seasonal appetizers - Rich Chicken Shoyu Soup - 3 Grilled Chicken Salt items - 2 Grilled Chicken Tare items - 2 Seasonal Vegetable Skewers - Deer skewer from Mr. Onodera in Miyagi Prefecture - Wild boar skewer from Mr. Mori in Minami Izu - Specialty Chicken Ikura - Deer and Oyster Additive-Free Sausage - Peony and Autumn Leaf Hot Pot - Choice of finishing dish (Oyakodon or Chicken Shoyu Ramen) - Dessert (Tiramisu, Fruits) 【Overall Impression】 The grilled chicken is delicious, but the game meat is carefully prepared, so there is no gaminess, and it was enjoyable to eat. Additionally, they offer a wide variety of wines, focusing on natural wines imported by themselves. It is fun to pair them with the meat or choose your own favorite.

Located on the 5th floor of the Shin Marunouchi Building, this restaurant offers a classic view of Tokyo Station. It was crowded as usual, reflecting its popularity. I decided to try the Black Iwai Chicken Yakitori and Chicken Hot Pot Course priced at 6,500 yen (excluding tax). The course included the following dishes: 1. Seasonal appetizers: 5 varieties, water eggplant sashimi, capellini with myoga and zucchini, homemade raisin butter, and jelly with shiso flowers and nagaimo. 2. Chef's choice salt-grilled chicken wings with black shichimi and sansho pepper. 3. Chef's choice tare-grilled white liver. 4. Specialty: Rich chicken hot pot and chicken shabu-shabu with a creamy white chicken soup. The pot already contained chicken wings and was served with thigh and thinly sliced breast meat, vegetables, mushrooms, grilled tofu, and tsukune. Condiments included salt, pepper, yuzu pepper, and vinegar citrus. 5. Venison and oyster chemical-free sausage. 6. Zosui (rice porridge) with ramen option, I chose zosui with egg. 7. Dessert: Romanoff mascarpone with fruits. The meal was accompanied by a glass of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie for 1,600 yen, complimentary Pu'er tea, and sparkling mineral water. The chicken hot pot was especially delicious, with a rich chicken broth that warmed the body. It may be a good choice for relieving summer fatigue.

I visited Shin Marubiru for the first time in a while to have a meal. I had some errands nearby, so it worked out perfectly. I met up with a friend after work at "Torao," a restaurant recommended by a colleague as a good place to go occasionally. Later, I found out that it is actually part of the same group as a restaurant I had visited recently. I decided to try the Mizutaki course, even though there were about four options to choose from. - Black Rock Chicken Grilled Chicken and Mizutaki Chicken Shabu Course - Seasonal appetizer platter with 5 varieties - Grilled chicken wings with salt - Grilled chicken liver with sauce - Specialty! Rich Chicken Mizutaki and Chicken Shabu - Venison and Oyster Unprocessed Sausage - Rice porridge - Sweet dessert The grilled chicken skewers were a bit limited, I wish there were more. The Mizutaki was enjoyable, but I should have read the menu more carefully. Overall, the Mizutaki had a good portion size, so increasing the skewers and reducing the pot portion might be a good idea. The grilled skewers were surprisingly good, although a bit salty. The Mizutaki soup and everything else were delicious. The atmosphere was great, with a high level of professionalism among the business crowd in Marunouchi. The restaurant was bustling and lively as the evening went on. Everything I tried was a hit, and the staff were all competent. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Indulgent lunch with game meat dishes. The meat was incredibly tender and had no gamey taste. The remaining broth was full of flavor. The separate chicken white broth soup was light and flavorful. The seating was mostly for two people, so you can relax even if you're dining alone. The counter seats offer a good view of the kitchen, although it faces away from Tokyo Station. Many office workers were enjoying ramen (I'm on a break too, haha). The parent and child bowl style includes shaving your own bonito flakes, which looks fun, so I'll try it next time (*^^*). The service was a bit slow in delivering the food, so my rating is a bit conservative. I bet it's lovely at night too ✨

Located in the restaurant area of Shin Marunouchi Building, this yakitori and game meat restaurant offers a stunning view of Tokyo Station's brick building from the window seats. We opted for counter seating to enjoy our yakitori while overlooking Tokyo Station and savoring the aroma of charcoal. The restaurant's specialty lies in using naturally raised "Kuroiwadori" chicken, free from chemical antibiotics and formulated feed, to create yakitori that highlights the unique characteristics of each part. They also serve game meat such as deer and boar sourced directly from hunters, prepared simply over charcoal fire or with innovative twists. The wine selection focuses on natural wines imported by the restaurant, chosen after visiting each producer's vineyard and tasting the wines. The course we ordered was the "Yakitori and Game Meat Seasonal Vegetable Course" consisting of 20 dishes for 7,150 yen. The seasonal appetizer platter, chicken white soup, various yakitori skewers, game meat skewers, chicken with salmon roe, deer and oyster sausage, hot pot, choice of finishing dish, and dessert were all exceptional. The appetizers were beautifully presented and offered a refreshing taste of summer. The yakitori was perfectly cooked and flavorful, especially the game meat skewers. The chicken with salmon roe was a unique and delicious dish. The hot pot with deer and wild boar meat in soy sauce-based soup was a comforting choice. The meal ended with a rich chicken paitan ramen and a delightful dessert of Nomanoth and fruits. The experience was fulfilling both for the stomach and the soul, making it a perfect spot for entertaining guests or a romantic date. I look forward to returning, especially to try their game meat hot pot in winter.

At the lovely yakitori restaurant "Torao" where you can enjoy a great view of the Marunouchi Station building at Tokyo Station, I recommend the Torao specialty! Yakitori and Game Seasonal Vegetable Course with 20 items for ¥7150! Exciting to taste the carefully grilled Black Iwao Shamo chicken, and game delivered directly from the hunter. Starting with 5 assorted seasonal appetizers, raw water eggplant with grated kelp, chilled pasta with zucchini and myoga, served with raisin butter and crackers, duck loin (low-temperature cooked), jelly of nagaimo and shiso flowers, and extremely rich chicken white soup. The skewers start with 3 salt skewers, including slightly red and tender salt-grilled chicken breast, crispy sand gizzard with a gentle saltiness, and two seasonal vegetable skewers. The round okra from Okinawa has a stronger sweetness than regular okra, perfectly seasoned! Corn with a nice sear and aroma that boosts your mood. A sausage of deer and oyster without seasoning, a marriage of land and sea. The oyster's aftertaste is strong, and you can enjoy it with grain mustard. Two types of yakitori sauce, a soft and not too sweet neck sauce, and a soy sauce-marinated egg yolk on a battleship. Soft and easy-to-eat tsukune, peony and maple leaf hotpot cooked at the table with deer broth, delicious with leeks soaked in broth. The famous chicken ikura, a luxurious dish, Onodera-san's deer skewer in Miyagi Prefecture with sauce, and Moris-san's wild boar skewer with salt. The game has no unpleasant smell and is delicious. I love deer, so I was very happy♡ For the choice of finishing dish, I chose the parent and child bowl over the chicken white soup noodles. Topped with freshly shaved dried bonito flakes, the gentle and not overpowering dashi was delicious, and despite being full, I finished it all. For dessert, there was a mascarpone mousse that tasted like tiramisu, and seasonal fruits (strawberries, muscat grapes, pineapple, melon). The drink menu is abundant with wines and more, making it suitable for both business and private occasions. Overall, I thought the price was fantastic for this location. Thank you for the feast.

I thought I could order individual items, but it was only available as a set course, so it would be helpful to have that information more clearly stated. Other than that, the food was very good and the service was excellent! The menu items besides the grilled chicken were also delicious!

As soon as I entered the shop, I was surprised to see a floor table seating with a view of Tokyo Station building and a counter seat. I was guided to the counter seat by the staff. My friends had made a reservation for this place, as they said the wine, yakitori, and game dishes were delicious. The skill of grilling the food was amazing, especially the carefully selected Kuroiwa Shamo chicken yakitori and the game meat delivered directly by the hunter. We enjoyed the course menu priced at ¥7,150 in an elegant atmosphere. We started with a sparkling wine, followed by a seasonal appetizer platter with dishes like raw eggplant sashimi, homemade raisin butter, zucchini and myoga capellini, chilled pasta, roast duck, and yam and perilla jelly. The extremely rich chicken white broth soup was a delight to drink daily, full of collagen and rich in flavor. The grilled red chicken thigh meat was the best I've ever had in my life, so tender and juicy. We paired it with a red wine called BOATSHED BAY Pinot Noir. The three types of yakitori with salt seasoning, including chicken tenderloin with wasabi, were perfectly grilled. The chicken wings were beautifully crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. Then, a hotpot was served, adding a wild touch to the atmosphere. The seasonal grilled vegetables were delicious, and the chicken ikura (salmon roe) rice bowl was a delightful way to end the meal. We also had a chicken and egg yolk soy sauce ramen as the finishing dish. The dessert platter included melon, shine muscat, pineapple, summer strawberries, and tiramisu. From start to finish, it was a fulfilling experience, with the sunset view adding to the lovely atmosphere. The warm service from the staff made it a luxurious and enjoyable time. I think it's a great place for adult dates or catching up with important friends.

I used this restaurant for a work-related dinner. It was nice to dine while overlooking the illuminated Tokyo Station. The food was delicious and served at a good pace. However, it was a bit noisy as the restaurant was almost full when we visited. I think it would be a great place for a date!

Located on the 5th floor of the new Maru Building directly connected to Tokyo Station, this restaurant was still popular as ever, with tables and counters full on weekday nights. Last time I visited in winter and enjoyed Mizutaki and Chicken Shabu, so this time I made a reservation for a course where I could enjoy 20 dishes including Yakitori and Game. We started with a toast with sparkling wine, a Crémant made with Chardonnay from the Jura region of France, which had a floral and fruity taste. The seasonal appetizer platter included five varieties, followed by a variety of Yakitori starting with salt-grilled. The Yakitori was delicious, and the meats were tender and juicy. The rich Chicken White Soup was a highlight, and the Grilled Corn was a favorite during the summer. The course also included unique dishes like Venison and Oyster Sausage, as well as a Pheasant and Maple Leaf Hot Pot. The meal ended with a choice of either a parent and child rice bowl or a Chicken White Soup Ramen, both of which were satisfying. Overall, the course was a great way to enjoy a variety of Yakitori and Game dishes. The restaurant is conveniently located near Marunouchi Line, offering a beautiful view of Tokyo Station and the night skyline. It's a great place for a date or a casual drink with friends.

Located in the Shin-Marunouchi Building, Torio is a restaurant specializing in yakitori, game meat, and wine. They offer rare Miyazaki black rock chicken yakitori and high-quality game meat hunted by skilled hunters. You can enjoy a view of Tokyo Station from the restaurant. We ordered the Torio Yakitori and Game Meat Course, which includes 20 dishes for 7150 yen. The course started with a variety of appetizers, including water eggplant with grated kelp, jelly of long yam, and capellini with sakura shrimp and seaweed. The yakitori started with salt-grilled skewers, followed by different types of skewers like chicken tenderloin, neck meat, and chicken wings. The course also included a rich chicken white broth soup and a deer and oyster sausage. The meal ended with a choice of two dishes for dessert - chicken and egg rice bowl or chicken white broth ramen. Overall, the course was satisfying and offered good value for money. The option to order various wines by the glass was also appreciated. Torio is recommended for a meal around Tokyo Station.

The restaurant was extremely crowded. I ordered the grilled chicken bowl with high expectations. The chicken breast was tough and overall, the service was disappointing. It was nice to have soup and salad included. However, I felt that the grilled chicken was dry, and I couldn't tell if it was due to the type of chicken used.

Today, I revisited the yakitori restaurant "Torao" in the Shin Marunouchi Building after a long time. I think it's one of the most fashionable yakitori restaurants in Tokyo. You can enjoy the view of Tokyo Station right in front of you. This time, I decided to try the "Yakitori and Game Meat Seasonal Vegetable Course with 20 items," a specialty of Torao. It includes grilled black rock chicken, game meat delivered directly from the hunter, and seasonal vegetables. Here is the menu for this visit: - Seasonal appetizer platter with 5 items - Creamy chicken white broth soup - 3 types of grilled chicken with salt seasoning - Sausage with deer and oyster - 2 types of grilled chicken with sauce - 2 types of seasonal vegetable skewers - Deer skewers from Onodera in Miyagi Prefecture - Wild boar skewers from Morisan in southern Izu - Specialty chicken with salmon roe - Peony and autumn leaf hot pot - Choice of finishing dish: Oyakodon or ramen - Dessert: Tiramisu First, the seasonal appetizer platter was visually appealing and paired well with the initial drink. The creamy chicken white broth soup was rich and flavorful. The grilled chicken with salt seasoning was tender and juicy, and the grilled chicken with sauce had a nice texture. The seasonal vegetable skewers were fresh and crunchy. The game meat dishes, including deer and wild boar skewers, had a wild and delicious taste. The chicken with salmon roe was a must-try dish. The sausage with deer and oyster had a unique flavor. The peony and autumn leaf hot pot with deer broth was delicious. The choice of finishing dish between Oyakodon and ramen was a nice touch. The ramen was rich and perfect for chicken white broth lovers. The dessert, tiramisu, was smooth and tasty. The restaurant also offers a variety of sake, wine, and other game meats besides yakitori. The night view overlooking Tokyo Station is outstanding. It's a versatile restaurant suitable for dates, gatherings with friends, and more.

The counter and tables had a great atmosphere! The window-side tables had a nice view of Marunouchi Plaza, although I couldn't see it clearly since my back was turned. The appetizer pasta was a bit difficult to eat but looked beautiful. The soup had a rich broth and was delicious. The skewers were also tasty! I ordered the game meat course, which came with a small pot of boar and deer. Both the boar and deer were served in the pot and as skewers, and they were delicious without any gamey taste. The deer had a good texture while the boar was tender, and I preferred the boar. The dessert came on a stylish plate. They asked about allergies or dislikes before the meal and made changes accordingly. The service was polite and attentive.

I visited Torao located on the 5th floor of Shin Marunouchi Building, right in front of Tokyo Station! The 5th floor of the building is lined with various dining options, all of which were almost full. It's a super popular spot! I found a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious yakitori, game meat, and wine, so I decided to have dinner there. This time, I opted for the course menu 'Torao Specialty! Yakitori, Game Meat, and Seasonal Vegetable Course 20 items/7,150 yen'. It's a very luxurious and wonderful course. The meal started with a variety of seasonal appetizers, followed by a rich chicken broth soup, three types of salt-grilled yakitori, two types of tare-grilled yakitori, two types of seasonal vegetable skewers, deer skewers from Onodera in Miyagi Prefecture, wild boar skewers from Morisato in Minami Izu, Torao's specialty chicken and salmon roe, deer and oyster sausage, Peony and Autumn Leaf hot pot, choice of finishing dish (oyakodon or shiratama noodles), and dessert (mascarpone, melon/mikan/strawberry portion). The portions were small but the yakitori was well-cooked and delicious! The yakitori chef skillfully grilled the skewers, and the staff members were all friendly and provided great service. Just when I thought it was all about yakitori, the game meat skewers appeared. It was my first time trying game meat on skewers! The meat was chewy and had a different texture and impact compared to chicken, and it was very tasty. You can also enjoy game meat in small pots served at ryokans during dinner. The best part is the wide selection of wines available at the restaurant. The heavy red wines paired perfectly with the skewers! Depending on your seat, you can enjoy the night view of Tokyo Station while dining. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had a business dinner with colleagues and initially planned to just reserve a table and order a la carte, but they only offered set courses. However, we were able to add additional dishes one by one. They had game meat skewers which were very delicious. The price and taste were both good! The restaurant was a bit noisy as the sound echoed, but sitting at a table with a view of Tokyo Station right in front was a fantastic location. I would like to visit again.

Located just a 2-minute walk from the Marunouchi entrance of Tokyo Station, on the 5th floor of the "Shin Maru Building," is a yakitori restaurant. Here are four key features of this restaurant: - They use Miyazaki's local chicken, "Kuroiwa Do Tori." - They offer courses where you can enjoy game meat on skewers or in a pot. - They have a wide variety of alcohol options, including wine. - You can enjoy views of Tokyo Station and the city lights. Today's course was the Kuroiwa Do Tori yakitori and Mizutaki chicken hot pot course for ¥7,150 (tax included). I had previously tried the game meat course, but this time I was intrigued by a poster at the entrance advertising "extremely rich hot pot," so I chose that. The seasonal appetizer plate included 5 dishes: turnips, fiddlehead ferns, chilled capellini, sweet edamame, and simmered taro. Each dish showcased fresh seasonal ingredients. The Kuroiwa Do Tori yakitori included: - Chicken thigh: tender and juicy with a crispy exterior. - White liver: creamy and melts in your mouth. - Venison and oyster sausage: rich and flavorful. - Specialty extremely rich hot pot and chicken shabu-shabu: a simple soup made with water, salt, and Kuroiwa Do Tori chicken, but incredibly rich and delicious. The chicken meat, meatballs, and chicken breast were all cooked to perfection. The soup was so good that I couldn't stop drinking it. For the finale, I chose ramen noodles to go with the hot pot broth. The thin noodles, supervised by Minoru Sano, paired perfectly with the collagen-rich soup. To finish off the meal, I enjoyed a dessert of seasonal fruits with mascarpone cheese. Overall, both the yakitori and hot pot courses were delicious, but I highly recommend trying the game meat skewer course for your first visit and the hot pot course for your second visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
