This is a Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) restaurant in Susukino. Although there are several branches, the main store had a huge line, so I came to this branch. However, there was also a long line at the branch, and after waiting for about an hour, I finally got to taste Hokkaido's Genghis Khan. Some Genghis Khan restaurants are ranked in the top 100 on Tabelog (a restaurant review site), but Daruma does not take reservations, so there is always a long line in front of the store. With such popularity, you can expect great food. Finally, I was able to enter the restaurant. The sweet aroma of grilled lamb meat, after waiting in line and just smelling it, I was extremely hungry. First, I ate the meat grilled with vegetables dipped in sauce, and it was delicious. Genghis Khan is so tasty... The taste varies depending on the cut, and the fatty parts have a rich and flavorful taste. You can also add vegetables like onions while grilling the meat, making it quite healthy. When the meat juice mixes with the vegetables and you eat it with rice, it's also amazing. I didn't spend more than ¥5000 even after eating so much, so I think the cost performance is quite good. It's a good place to casually drop by alone. I was so impressed, it's been a while since I felt this way, so I definitely want to come back here!

I am surprised by the enduring popularity of all the stores, despite there being many stores with long queues. The unique counter shape and lockers for storing belongings make a strong impression, attracting many female customers. The meat and appetizers are delicious, making it easy to overindulge in eating and drinking. The lamb meat is not too heavy, so it's easy to eat too much.

When it comes to Sapporo, you think of Genghis Khan at the Naruma 4-4 store on the 2nd floor. Enjoyed Genghis Khan at the Naruma 4-4 store on the 2nd floor on July 1, 2023. You can't make a reservation, so we had someone wait in line beforehand, and we were able to meet inside the restaurant. We ordered various types of meat, and the more expensive ones were very tender, without any unpleasant smell, and delicious. I also tried wine, but beer might be better. Nevertheless, it was super delicious!

The meat is very fresh and delicious. I like the sauce that has a addictive taste. When you eat the vegetables like onions with the meat oil, it is very delicious. Whenever I come to Sapporo, I visit this restaurant many times. There are several branches, but I like Nikaitei because it is clean and nice.

There are plenty of Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) restaurants in Sapporo, but my favorite is Daruma, even though there may be lines. I love the thick cuts of meat, the flavor of the sauce, and the tea pickles at the end. I always order Chanja and seaweed too! I usually stop at one serving and then go try other Hokkaido gourmet foods. However, I can't eat green onions and onions, so I can only eat the meat. I wish I could at least change it to cabbage or bean sprouts.

The sliced meat is large but heavy with a lot of fat. The taste is not significantly better or worse compared to regular meat. The sirloin is lean with little fat and lacks flavor. Had Genghis Khan x3, Chanja, liver, beer, apple sour, lemon sour. If I were to go again, I think I would stick to regular meat for Genghis Khan. The amount of fat in the Genghis Khan meat varies, some have more and some have less, it's random. The color of the meat looks fresh. The tea pickles were said to be delicious, but when I poured the Genghis Khan sauce with tea over rice, it was too strong. I lined up on the Sunday of the third day of the long weekend from 17:50 and waited for about 30-40 minutes to be seated (about 7 groups ahead). The meal didn't take more than an hour. It's easy for solo diners to get in. However, by the time we left around 19:00, the line had extended outside, and it looked tough in the extreme cold. It seemed lucky that we arrived at the end of the first round. The wait gets longer towards the end of the second round. It's a restaurant that locals also go to, but not everyone lines up to get in.

The menu is simple, with three types of meat: fillet, Genghis Khan, and top meat. You pay based on the number of plates. Just to clarify, all three types are lamb meat. Genghis Khan is slightly cheaper, while fillet and top meat are the same price. The fillet is tender but small. The top meat is high-quality and large, with a satisfying taste. Personally, I liked the top meat the best. Surprisingly, the bill came out to almost 30,000 yen for three people, but it was delicious. There was no unpleasant smell, and it had a slight unique flavor, making it healthy and good.

On the last night in Sapporo, I wanted to end the night by eating at Daruma. The main branch is always crowded because it has fewer seats. The 6.4 and 5.5 branches have more seats, but they also get busy, especially on weekends with tourists lining up. The 4.4 branch has fewer seats but is less crowded compared to the other branches. Surprisingly, the 4.4 Second Floor branch, located above the 4.4 branch, is often less crowded. Based on my personal preference, I chose to dine at the 4.4 Second Floor branch this time. As I glanced at the crowded 4.4 branches, I noticed an empty seat at the Second Floor branch, so I went in and ordered a large beer and a regular meat dish. The regular meat dish was the most delicious. I ordered it twice. Good kids leave a little rice, ask the staff for roasted green tea, and add sweet onions and sauce to create the most delicious ochazuke in the world. It has become quite expensive lately, so savor it carefully.

We visited the second restaurant with two colleagues from work. We visited out of curiosity. We ordered three types of meat to try, and each one had a unique and delicious flavor! There was a huge amount of onions that didn't seem to decrease easily! I realized that the taste of Genghis Khan varies greatly depending on the restaurant!

The taste is good! It's like yakiniku without the strong smell of Genghis Khan. However, be prepared to wait for at least an hour. It seems like it's okay for the representative to wait in line and have a large group join later, so I hope the restaurant staff will make sure to enforce such rules. It can be frustrating when one person becomes eight and there are no group tables, so you end up being pushed ahead by four other groups without realizing it... It's a matter of customer morals, after all.

I tried Genghis Khan BBQ for the first time in a long time (almost felt like the first time)! It was a very popular restaurant and there was a long line. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we were seated at a table. We ordered Genghis Khan and tongue. Since I don't like fatty meat, I skipped the prime cuts. It looked delicious even before cooking, and it smelled amazing while grilling. Finally, I tried it and it was delicious!!! The rice seemed like it could be eaten endlessly. The tongue was especially outstanding... I ended up ordering another plate. I highly recommend this place without any hesitation! It's far, but I would love to eat here again...

Daruma's Genghis Khan is really delicious. Even though I try other places, I always end up craving Daruma's Genghis Khan. I thought I would have to wait for an hour, but luckily I was able to get in after about 20 minutes. I also tried the premium meat this time. It was so satisfying and delicious!!

Daruma never disappoints! The deliciousness is consistent every time. Whenever I go to Daruma, I always think I'll stick to Genghis Khan, but I end up trying the fillet or premium cuts... The fillet is tender but lacks a bit of boldness, while the premium cuts... well, in terms of cost-effectiveness, Genghis Khan is the way to go. The interior of the restaurant is quite narrow on the second floor, but the seats are somewhat spacious. I believe the first floor serves Kirin beer and the second floor serves Sapporo beer. If I remember correctly... If not, I apologize... There are no other differences in the menu. It's really delicious! I will definitely go back!

Genghis Khan٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و As expected, Tsumako Daruma is my favorite!! It's truly a unique restaurant that I always find delicious no matter when I visit. The only downside is that it's always super crowded. This time, it was a holiday, so we knew it would be packed. We arrived at the restaurant around 4:40 pm for the 5 pm opening, and to our surprise, there was already a long line! Wow! I was amazed by the popularity of Daruma. We managed to snag the last 2 seats after diving into the long line. People who were right behind us had to wait even longer as they couldn't get in on the first round. If you want a guaranteed seat, it's best to arrive around 4:30 pm. We've been to 5.5 other locations, but Daruma had the longest line. I wonder why that is. We haven't visited the main store or the 6.4 store, so it's still a mystery! As for the meat, I still think the most basic one is the best. I can't tell the difference even if I order the more expensive ones because I'm not that discerning. Here's what we ordered at Genghis Khan: 2 servings of meat, 2 highball drinks, a small rice, and Chanja. The appetizer was a nice touch! And thanks for grilling without us having to ask. So delicious! The juiciness of the meat, the perfect sauce, the charcoal flavor, and the garlic and chili topping - everything was satisfying! I'm so happy! Thank you for the meal!

Today I got off work early. As I was walking, I came across Daruma-san, a restaurant always with long lines! Could it be that they just opened? There were no customers? I didn't necessarily want to eat Genghis Khan, but seeing an empty restaurant that's always crowded, I got drawn in. Even so, 2/3 of the tables were full. I ordered Genghis Khan for 1190 yen, kimchi for 385 yen, draft beer for 605 yen, and otoshi (appetizer) for 220 yen. I grilled the Genghis Khan while snacking on kimchi and sipping beer! It was the best! I felt like an old man in this situation. The meat here is really delicious! Quietly enjoying the meal at Daruma-san. It's not often you find this kind of atmosphere. It was delicious. Well, if you can go early, it's great (^_^)

It was around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, so I was able to enter without waiting in line. The main store was already crowded. The meat had no strong smell and was easy to eat. The kimchi had a strong acidity, so it is good to eat it as a side dish. The grilled onions cooked in the Genghis Khan oil were very delicious. Personally, I think the sauce could have a bit more depth of flavor.
