I met up in Yogo and stopped by to pass the time. The interior of the shop is spacious. It was hot outside so I decided to get something cold! I chose a matcha frosty. I went to the counter with charging outlets. The red bean and ice cream were sweet, but the rich and bitter matcha paired well with them and tasted delicious. After this, I will go out for dinner with my daughter. Thank you for the meal.

Cafes and coffee shops are surprisingly abundant in the Yōga area. Among the coffee chains, Kōhikan gives off a rather plain impression. I wouldn't typically go in if it were elsewhere, but in Yōga, people without any business in the area come specifically to see it. The store's full glass windows offer a view of greenery and a wide open sky, providing a sense of relaxation in the midst of Tokyo's concrete jungle. Additionally, the lively customers you might expect to find at other cafes seem to be drawn to the Starbucks downstairs, creating a generally calm atmosphere. The Charcoal Roasted Coffee (540 yen) is the main drink at Kōhikan, with a bitterness that matches the image of being roasted over charcoal. The Charcoal Roasted Iced Coffee (540 yen) is the only iced coffee available, and it is milder in bitterness compared to the hot version. The Blue Mountain Coffee (780 yen) is a limited-time special item, and while it's nice to try, you might not miss out if you don't have it here.

I love pancakes, especially hotcakes or pancakes (not souffle). As I mentioned in my post about the Ookayama store, the "Traditional Hotcake" at Coffee KAN is considered the best. This time, I had the opportunity to have lunch at the station building in Yoga (Business Square) and discovered for the first time that there is a Coffee KAN on the first floor. It was a brand new Coffee KAN that opened last February. We ordered the "Mixed Sandwich" from the lunch menu (970 yen including tax) with a choice of drink and I chose the "Charcoal Ice Coffee." After that, we ordered the "Traditional Hotcake" (2 pieces) for dessert (620 yen including tax, it used to be 550 yen including tax a year and a half ago) and shared it. The "Mixed Sandwich" served first was also delicious. Then, we were asked if it was okay to start cooking the hotcakes after we finished the sandwich, which was a nice touch. The hotcakes were served after a short wait. The hotcakes had a square piece of butter on top, just as the menu described. Recently, Coffee KAN's Traditional Hotcake has been advertised on Twitter and other platforms, which excited my love for hotcakes. The hotcakes, cooked on a copper plate by hand, had a uniform brown color on the surface, a good thickness, and a moist inside, making them really delicious. They are still the best hotcakes for me. I enjoyed them very much today. Being able to enjoy these hotcakes at the new Yoga store was a big win for me. I look forward to coming back to Yoga occasionally in the future, as it will be a great pleasure. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A while ago, a coffee shop called Coffee Kan opened on the first floor of Yoga Station, which used to be Chez Louis. The atmosphere inside is calm, and unlike the Starbucks in the basement, Coffee Kan tends to attract an older crowd. I used to think it was expensive, with a cup of coffee costing around 1000 yen, but now it's quite reasonable. During lunchtime, you can get a set for around 1000 yen. I chose the spaghetti Napolitan set, which came with a mini salad and a drink of your choice. I went with iced coffee, and it was delicious. The Napolitan was on the sweeter side, more suited for kids. The iced coffee was labeled as "charcoal-roasted coffee" and indeed, it was tasty. Next time, I might try the hot sandwich.

A spacious confectionery store reopened as a coffee house after closing. The location is more suitable for a cafe, and although the previous confectionery store was delicious, this new cafe is more popular. The high ceiling gives a sense of openness, which is very nice. I used to frequent the coffee house in Kyodo since my student days, and the food is delicious. I tried the hotcakes for the first time and they were excellent.

The landmark building in Yuga, known as SBS Setagaya Business Square. The first floor used to be "She Lui" but now it's "Coffee House". Today was a hot summer day. The summer limited menu includes two peach-based drinks. A perfect sweet treat to cool down the body on a hot day is the "Frosty". Frosty means "freezing". The other peach drink is a peach soda. Frosty seems better for cooling the body down. The "Peach Mascarpone Frosty (750 yen)" is a great combination of peach and mascarpone. It is worth the price with a good volume and delicious taste. Unlike the shakes or floats from burger chains, it provides a high level of satisfaction with its deliciousness.

After eating sweet churros, I felt like having bitter coffee, so I went to a coffee shop near Yoga Station. The shop was spacious, clean, and quiet. I ordered the "Charcoal Ice Coffee" for 528 yen (including 10% tax). I really enjoyed the taste, I like dark roasted coffee.

Vienna Fantasy 572 yen. I ordered a single item. Lunch time is until 3 pm.

I didn't have high expectations for the food at the café, but it was surprisingly delicious. The Napolitan pasta had a rich and hearty flavor, not just a simple ketchup sauce. The set menu includes a salad and a drink for just over 1000 yen, so it's a bit on the pricey side. The dressing for the salad and the coffee were also delicious. The service was calm and elegant, suitable for business meetings, family outings, or dining alone. The cutlery, including forks and dessert spoons, were provided in the right amount, showing attention to detail. The staff seemed to be plentiful, ensuring attentive service. One side of the café has huge windows, allowing you to enjoy the greenery outside. It would be nice if they expanded their menu in the future. By noon, the café is usually full.

I asked them to remove the mustard mayonnaise as it was written on the menu, but it was served with mustard mayonnaise anyway. There's nothing to compliment about this place other than its location.

The restaurant had a spacious interior with large windows that created a sense of openness. However, the noise from the kitchen was quite loud and constant, with the sound of dishes being washed. The cutlery that was brought out was wet, and there were mysterious fingerprints on the plates, which was disappointing.
