I took a walk from Shin-Nakano to Honancho. However, on this day, it was said to reach 38℃, an extremely hot day! It was scorching hot!!! As soon as I arrived in Honancho, I thought, is there a cafe around here? So I wandered into the shopping street. There, I saw a sign for a drink menu that looked refreshing. It was at "Higoro Seika," a greengrocer, but they had original and stylish drinks, and even shaved ice. There was another cafe right next door, but because it was so hot, I decided to choose this one! The interior of the shop was like a greengrocer, with various specialty products from different regions displayed. They also sold seasonings, and the lighting and shelves gave off a stylish atmosphere. I ordered a drink from a young female staff member. Among the many menu options, I chose the "New Summer Orange Soda"! While waiting for it to be made, I looked around the shop and found a pop-up for an original salad. They make a salad on the spot using seasonal vegetables...! It was very tempting, but I'll try it next time...! Now, it's ready! The New Summer Orange Soda!! It's made with original Hyuganatsu syrup mixed with soda, and it also has chunks of Hyuganatsu flesh. The mint adds a refreshing touch. Hmm!! The perfect drink for a scorching hot day! The well-chilled fruit flesh was delicious too. It was really delicious. I want to come back here again while it's hot. And next time, I'll try the salad too...!

I tried a vegetable store that also sells side dishes made from vegetables. The combination of celery, green pepper, and enoki mushrooms in a kinpira-style dish was surprising, but the vegetables were cut into large pieces. The dish also had sliced red chili peppers for a spicy kick. It was quite delicious.

I jumped on a bus heading towards Nakano-sakaue around Yoyogi-Hachiman, but it turned left towards the direction of Koshu Kaido. I realized I got on the wrong bus, it was supposed to go to Asagaya. I decided to get off around Minami-Shinmachi on the Marunouchi Line and ended up in Hananomachi. I took a little walk and found a nice store, maybe a grocery store? I was looking at the sign outside when someone from the store came out and explained to me. Even though it wasn't on the menu, they recommended the pear, which was in season and delicious. It was sweet and refreshing with a syrup, mint, and lemon, and served cold. The inside of the store was cool with good air conditioning. They also had cute pop-ups and illustrations. Some were so cute that I even took some with me.
