Wandering new curry mania/fresh ramen mania, a lone old man. This is a memorandum-like review by the old man. If you are looking for concise information about the restaurant and dishes, please move on to other reviews around here. In between "fried rice tours," it's important to mix in different things. So, here are two places for "grilled fish-style Japanese set meals." These restaurants are operated in three locations: Sapporo Factory (Sankaku-kan B1), Stella Place (CENTER 6F), and Sapporo Clock Tower Building (B1). They are also produced by the super popular revolving sushi chain "Nemuro Hanamaru." Many predecessors have given high ratings (with some exceptions), so the expectations are naturally high. The "Three Delicacies" dish, which is a combination of three grilled fish dishes, is a representative menu item, and other items such as individual grilled fish dishes and seafood bowls are also highly rated. Hmm, looks good. It seems to have a good lineup. I also like "raw fish," but I really love "dried fish/dried overnight fish" where the flavor of the fish is condensed and heightened. In Hokkaido, the "Atka mackerel" is especially delicious, with good fat content, easy-to-eat texture, and good separation of the flesh. In the past, even the sizes that couldn't fit in the grill were considered "common fish," but now they are expensive... It's better not to eat the small sizes. It doesn't seem like the same fish. In my younger days, I used to like the females with their bellies full of roe, but as I grew older, I preferred the males. "Mukawa-produced" is famous, but surprisingly, it is also caught in a neighboring town of Kushiro called "Shiranuka Town." It's quite close to the coast, and I once saw fishing boats overturning and rotating while fishing, which made me wonder if they wouldn't capsize. Also, the "dried under-ice saffron" (from the Nemuro Bay Central Fishermen's Cooperative) was delicious. It's a slightly small ice-under fish, but it's packed with flavor. I'm not sure if it's the same quality level, but if you have the chance, please try it. Also, "sweet pickled herring" is delicious. Oh, I'm digressing again. Now, about this restaurant. It's located in Nishi 2-chome, Kita 1-jo, Chuo-ku. It's in the basement of a building just north of the Sapporo Clock Tower, which is said to be one of the "three biggest disappointing tourist spots in Japan" (?). (It's my own imagination to think of a big building. LOL) I entered the restaurant around 1:30 p.m. (Tuesday/holiday). The interior is a style with a large floor with table seats scattered around. There is no wall between the aisle and the seats, so there is not much sense of oppression. However, it's a bit unsettling as you can see everyone eating from your seat. On the left side of the entrance, there are a few box seats. It's also a passage to the backyard, so it's a bit unsettling. There were a fair number of customers for the time of day. Well, it's a holiday, so it's expected. Although there were empty seats on the large floor, for some reason, we were guided to the box seats on the left. There were about 1-2 young couples among the other customers. I checked the menu and understood the ordering method. The basic pattern is to choose the main fish species and cooking method, and then select rice and soup as additional options. I was aiming for the "Three Delicacies," but the fish species for the day were ★ Atka mackerel ☆ Sōhachi karei ☆ Madai kama... There are times when some kind of "kama" is included, as I have already learned from previous reviews. I was prepared, but I wasn't too happy because there was little meat to eat. Also, "Sōhachi karei" has a unique smell (especially when dried) that I can't accept at all, so it's not an option. Then, how about "mackerel"?
