It's a place in Chuo Ward, located at Minami 4 Jo Nishi 2-chome in Susukino along National Route 36, but for more specific details, as usual, please check the map on Tabelog. This time, after a certain meeting, I had a meal at this restaurant and enjoyed Hokkaido-style "sukiyaki" for the first time in a few years. Firstly, there were only individual drink options on the menu, as this restaurant does not offer "all-you-can-drink" which is rare these days. 1. We started with a toast with bottled beer, and later made our own highballs with whiskey and soda, as well as adding shochu and red wine to the mix, which likely made the drink cost per person quite high. 2. The appetizer consisted of firm peanut tofu topped with minced beef, a light beef dish to start with. 3. The next dish was a cold soup with crab meat, showcasing the Hokkaido essence. 4. Following that, the "roast beef" arrived, served with various condiments. 5. Boiled asparagus, a seasonal vegetable, was served next, also reflecting the Hokkaido influence. 6. Grilled salmon also made an appearance, further highlighting Hokkaido's appeal. 7. Finally, the main dish, "sukiyaki," featured marbled Yamagata beef that was incredibly tender and flavorful, with a rich sauce and a hint of secret miso adding a Hokkaido touch. 8. The meal ended with "kishimen" noodles and pickles, leaving us quite full and satisfied. 9. The dessert was seasonal melon and cherries, allowing us to experience the flavors of the season. Overall, the course meal incorporated Hokkaido ingredients throughout, with "sukiyaki" as the main highlight, but I would like to try "shabu-shabu" next time if possible.
