When I was walking around Ginza in the valley, I got tired and wanted to sit down, so I came here. I ordered an iced coffee and a soy latte. The iced coffee was served right away, but the soy latte was taking forever. People who came after me were getting served one after another, but the staff didn't even acknowledge that I had been waiting for a long time. When I finally asked if it was ready, they seemed surprised. I waited for 10 minutes... In the end, they only started making the soy latte because they had already served the iced coffee, and the time before that was enjoyable but now I feel terrible.

Today's breakfast was usually at Doutor, but I decided to change it up and went to EXCELSIOR CAFFE in Nippori. The morning menu displayed outside the store looked delicious. This time, I ordered the Jumbo Ham Lettuce Sandwich set. The bread had a crispy texture, and the ham's flavor combined with the crunchy lettuce was really good. The hot coffee was also delicious, and I finished it in no time. Now, time to get to work. Thank you for the meal.

I had some business to attend to on the Nippori-Toneri Liner in October 2020. I arrived in Nippori a bit early, so I decided to go to Doutor to pass the time. However, the Doutor had been replaced by an Excelsior Coffee, which is under the same management. I must not have been to Nippori in a while. I ordered a small iced soy latte. There is a smoking area available. Due to the new law implemented in April, most major chain cafes are now completely non-smoking or allow only electronic cigarettes. However, this place allows both regular and electronic cigarettes. It is conveniently located near the station, so I use it often. The window side offers a view of the Nippori rotary, with lots of greenery, which I like. Please note that the smoking area is on the 3rd floor without an elevator, so be careful if you get out of breath easily. There are no power outlets. Excelsoir is one of my favorite chain cafes because it has many spacious seats.

The three-dimensional structure of Nishi-Nippori Station. The train platform is located at a quite high position, with various train lines converging. The ground level has the atmosphere of a JR station, but it's a strange place without a station building. As expected of a JR station, there are many establishments affiliated with the company. Next to the Doutor coffee shop is an Excelsior Café. The interior is spacious with various seating options, making it a suitable spot in front of the station. There are many Doutor coffee shops, but the spiral staircase for moving within the store can be a bit scary if you're carrying a drink. I've had the Croque-monsieur set (427 yen) multiple times. The Croque-monsieur is warm and the wide variety of drink choices is a big plus. The latte is average, but overall, I am satisfied with this meal.

Excelsior Cafe near Nippori Station (next to Doutor). It has 3 floors, so it's surprisingly spacious. I ordered a hot tea (M) for ¥300 and added milk. I was shocked that a hot Royal Milk Tea (M) is ¥430, which is ¥130 more than regular tea.

After having lunch in New Tokyo, I decided to come here. It's too early to go to work, so I took a half day off and decided to study for an exam here. I was debating between Doutor and here, but I chose this place because the entire third floor is a smoking area, which is convenient. I had coffee earlier, so I ordered a blood orange juice. I couldn't help but notice the cakes in the showcase, but I resisted the temptation. I actually want to buy something for a snack later. The third floor has a large table in the middle and a counter facing the window. It's a nice spot, but it was full so I sat at the large table. The air conditioning was too strong and ash was flying around. After a while, a seat opened up at the counter, so I studied for about an hour and a half there. This seat is really comfortable. Maybe it's good to study while taking a break at Nippori. I thought about going to the McDonald's in Ohanajaya, where smoking is not allowed, but they close at 10 pm. I've been to the Doutor and Beaucoup in the new south exit of Shibuya, but they weren't that great. The orange juice here is served in a large glass and is very satisfying. They also seem to have a seasonal limited jelly drink. Excelsior has a pretty extensive menu too. I might try using this place next week. When I left around 12:30, the third floor wasn't too crowded, but the second and first floors were busy, especially during lunchtime. I could see a delicious-looking Chinese restaurant from the window. Maybe it's a good idea to make a stop in between.

I went to the textile district in Nippori and took a break at Excelsior! I didn't go there often because I had the impression that Excelsior didn't have cocoa. Since I can't drink coffee, I ordered a hot cocoa and a chocolate bagel. The staff asked if I wanted the bagel warmed up, which was a service I didn't know they offered. I'm not a fan of hard bagels, so I was happy they warmed it up for me! The whole wheat bagel seemed good for my body, not too sweet, and delicious! The cocoa was rich, with plenty of whipped cream, and it was delicious!

I dropped by for lunch on a regular day. I wanted to take a little break, so I came to this shop. I was in the mood for something sweet, so I ordered the Ice Cocoa_S (360 yen). Before I knew it, my drink arrived. The Ice Cocoa_S has a rich flavor with a refreshing sweetness. The milk adds a nice depth to it, making it very satisfying. Thank you for the meal. I went for a safe cappuccino, but Excelsior has some sweeter options, making it a convenient place. It would be great if they had Wifi too. Like giving the password to customers and having it work for about an hour. Looking around the store, there seems to be quite a few foreign tourists, but being so close to Japan's main gateway airport, I feel like there's so much potential for inbound businesses, Excelsior's promotions, and area managers to do more. They might say "then go ahead and do it," but I think this store has the potential for great growth if done right. I felt quite excited in the first 5 minutes after sitting down. I spent my time calmly for a business-related errand. Whenever I enter a restaurant or retail store, I always find myself looking at the same things - promotions, BGM, like in the movie "Inugami Family" with the character Taro Sankyu. However, with power outlets and a decent desk right before the late-night Narita flight, I think I can use this place for an hour, and then 1-2 hours in Narita in the future. For all the company employees turning into nomads, I recommend this place.

I had some business to attend to in Tokyo today and was looking for a cafe with power outlets and Wi-Fi. I found a cafe in Nippori that had SOFTBANK Wi-Fi, called Excelsior Cafe. I decided to get off at Nippori station and headed to the cafe. This was my first time at Nippori station, I think I've been to Nishi-Nippori before but not Nippori itself. I first visited the famous Shimogyoukuden Bridge at the north exit of the station, which is known for its train view. Next time, I'll bring my son along. Then, I went to the rotary on the east side of the station. Wait, this scene looks familiar... I think I've seen this before in Nishi-Nippori. There's even a Doutor in the same spot. I remember using the Doutor in front of Nishi-Nippori station before... Anyway, my target this time was Excelsior Cafe. It's also part of the Doutor group, so it's strange to see two shops from the same group next to each other in the same building. Inside the cafe, I was able to detect Wi-Fi on my iPhone. I ended up using my iPhone's tethering for internet access while using the power outlet on the 2nd floor. It's not as big as you might think. It's a typical Doutor sandwich with ham folded generously inside. The flavor is based on black pepper and mayonnaise. In Nippori, if you want to have a quick coffee, this is the place to go... It's a spacious and relaxing space within Nippori. The 1st and 2nd floors are non-smoking, while the 3rd floor is a smoking area. I prefer seats by the window... Watching the outside scenery, observing the changing colors and shine of the leaves, the different faces of the clouds according to the season... Enjoying a leisurely coffee while gazing out... I really love those soft moments...↑ Just kidding... I'm actually looking out to see if there's anyone interesting passing by, or if a small incident might happen... I'm just watching... (I have too much free time...) This shop also has counter seats by the window and a large number of seats, so the window seat availability is high and that makes me happy... You can leisurely observe the Nippori rotary, and it's exciting to think, "Sister, there's an incident..." right? This is a recommended shop... Oh, if you want to relax instead of just having a quick coffee, then it's Dantai Shitsu New Tokyo.

There is a cafe near Nippori Station that has three floors. The interior is spacious but the stairs can be tiring. The food and drinks were delicious. However, the food portions are small so it may not be enough for men... I wish they would also provide water on the second and third floors.

This is a cafe in front of the station. There is an old-fashioned coffee shop nearby, but it was crowded so I moved here. The interior of the cafe is not very spacious, but I was able to find a seat. The seating is a bit close together, but since there weren't many people, it didn't bother me.

I had breakfast at a cafe for the first time in a while. The portion was surprisingly large and the topping on top was crispy and delicious.
