Chinese cuisine top 100 restaurants 2023, service lunch starting from 1300 yen. Visited on Friday at 14:00, the seating capacity is around 40% because there are partitions. Just cross the pedestrian crossing in front of Yotsuya Station, enter the park next to the subway entrance and walk along the riverside promenade for 3-4 minutes, then descend the stairs and you will find the building on the first floor. There is also a parking lot in front of the restaurant, so you can come by car. The entrance has a nice atmosphere, but there is no price list outside, so it may be a bit intimidating to enter, but I trusted the price list on Tabelog and went inside. As soon as you enter, there is a reception where you can inform them of the number of people, and they will guide you while looking at the seating chart. Once seated, the menu and a tea set with a lit stove arrive, which makes me wonder if they will charge a service fee or tea fee even for lunch. When I nervously opened the menu, the lunch menu I saw on Tabelog appeared! Phew, I was worried that the menu might be different from what was listed on Tabelog, or that there might only be expensive courses available. I looked at the menu and ordered the number one dish on the service lunch menu, Chicken with Cashew Nuts. After ordering, a teapot arrived, and the stove was lit on the tea set. After about 5 minutes, the rice, soup, and pickles (Chinese cabbage and finely sliced pickled radish) arrived. The rice bowl is small, and the portion is modest. Then, in 1-2 minutes, the main dish arrived... and it was surprisingly large compared to the rice! It looks like it could easily serve two people. Oh, the Chicken with Cashew Nuts here is spicy with chili oil. When I tried it, the chicken was tender and the cashew nuts were plentiful, making it delicious. It has a classic, high-quality Chinese taste. As I continued eating, I realized that there was a lot of side dishes compared to the rice. I wanted to take about half of it home, but I managed to finish it all. After finishing the meal, they brought dessert, which I didn't check on the menu. It turns out it came with dessert. The dessert arrived quickly, and it was Tapioca Mango Milk. Besides tapioca and mango milk, it also contained grapefruit and other fruits. It was delicious as well. Looking at the bill, there was no service charge or tea fee, and the prices were tax-inclusive. The total for the service lunch number one was 1300 yen including tax, and I was able to pay with a card using table payment. I was a bit nervous before entering, but in the end, it was a great value and delicious lunch. Next time I come, I might buy a small Tupperware from the 100 yen shop before coming.
