September 2023. I have always wanted to go to this restaurant since it opened last year, but they didn't offer lunch on weekdays, so as a lunch-only person, I thought I wouldn't have a chance to go. Weekends are always crowded everywhere, so I don't usually use restaurants in Kichijoji. After the Bon Festival in August, I passed by the restaurant and saw that they had started serving weekday lunches, so I thought, "Oh! I want to go!" and decided to try it out. I went right away. There were already a few people lining up before the opening. The people with reservations and those without had different positions in line. If you go early, it should be fine, but if you want to go for sure, it seems like making a reservation would be a good idea. Weekday lunch 11:30-@1200 Lunch Choose between pasta or pizza, served with salad (or focaccia) and soup for 1200 yen including tax. (Drinks like coffee are separate +300 yen) The main dish seems to change daily. @2000 Lunch Choose between pasta or pizza, served with assorted appetizers, a main meat dish, and dessert for 2000 yen including tax. (Drinks are separate +300 yen) @1400 Lunch Salad plate served with soup and focaccia. (Drinks are separate +300 yen) First, I tried the 1200 yen lunch! There were two options for pizza and pasta. I usually choose tomato-based pasta for new Italian restaurants, so I quickly chose the tomato pasta. That day, it was a tomato sauce with chicken and pumpkin with rosemary! The salad was a normal green salad. The dressing was delicious. The soup was an onion-based soup with a bit strong pepper taste. The pasta portion was generous! This was great!! If you're dining with someone else, you could each order a different dish and share. The pasta was a bit soft for my taste. I prefer it a bit more al dente. But I liked the taste of the tomato sauce. ============================ How about the pizza? I visited again on another day. @1200 Lunch This day's pizza was Mortadella ham and bismarck egg. The salad was the same as last time. The soup was different this time, a cold pumpkin soup! It was very delicious. The pizza was large! This was also great to see!! The toppings were plentiful. The combination of Mortadella ham and bismarck egg with cheese and runny egg was nice. The crust was not too thick or too crispy, somewhere in between. Getting a pizza of this size for 1200 yen as a set was quite valuable. But if you add a drink, it becomes 1500 yen, so at that point, it's just average for Kichijoji. During lunch hours, they don't offer the famous uni mousse, truffle bismarck pizza, fresh Mont Blanc, and others. You'll have to come at night to try those. The lunch menu seems to change daily, so I plan to come back a few more times to try different dishes.
