Jubilo
For dinner, my husband and I went to Nanotourism in Shimomaruko, Ota-ku after a long time. Even though it's been a while, we often visit Yaguchiwatari and Musashishinden, so it didn't feel like we were neglecting it. Coming from the Shinkawasaki-Kashimada area, you can cross the Gas Bridge, continue straight, cross the Tokyu Tamagawa Line railroad crossing, and the restaurant is right before the Kanpachi Expressway. It's a family restaurant located about a 2-3 minute walk from Shimomaruko Station. Even if you go by car, parking is free for up to 2 hours, so it's convenient. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff. Yes, when it comes to this family restaurant, it's "Welcome to Denny's♪" right? The interior has many table seats. On the left side upon entering, there is a separate room with three 4-seater tables and one 2-seater table. We were guided to that room. The restaurant was starting to get a bit crowded when we arrived, but there were no other customers in this room, and the air conditioning was quite chilly. Lately, I feel like air conditioning is blasting in places like restaurants and public transportation for COVID-19 measures. Am I the only one who thinks so? Well, as the seats gradually filled up, the coldness eased. Denny's often changes their menu, it seems. Every time we go, there seems to be new and limited-time menu items. This summer's menu includes "Cool Noodles." Oh, sounds nice♪ Cold noodles in hot weather are gentle on the stomach, perfect for preventing summer fatigue. So, I chose this. - Shrimp and Aromatic Vegetable Salad Noodles (949 yen excluding tax) It's a pasta dish with plenty of vegetables and shrimp, topped with basil sauce and olive oil. It's a cold pasta with shrimp in Genovese sauce, I guess. The crunchy radish is refreshing. There are also watercress, broccoli, tomatoes, etc. And the basil leaves add a nice aroma and flavor. Despite being small, the plump shrimp were about 4 pieces. The thin noodles are thoroughly coated in the basil-scented Genovese sauce. The light taste made me finish it in no time. My husband chose this. - Ginger Pork Set Meal (999 yen excluding tax) It's a set meal with ginger pork, rice, miso soup, and a choice of side dish. The side dish options are "Sesame Dressing Tofu Salad" or "Eggplant and Spinach Grated Dressing," and he chose the former. The ginger pork made with pork loin was quite thick compared to what you would typically find in a family restaurant or local diner. So the texture of the meat when chewed was very juicy. The grated ginger also had a nice aroma, not too strong, making it easy to eat. Also, the Sesame Dressing Tofu Salad side dish was delicious~♪ I guess my stomach appreciates these light flavors lately (laughs). We also ordered one side dish. - Shrimp Tartare (399 yen excluding tax) It's shrimp fritters with tartar sauce, and the shrimp, while not large, had a nice firm texture. The batter was crispy. It came with shredded cabbage drizzled with sesame dressing. This volume, this taste, at this price, it's quite a good deal. With the limited noodles, set meal, and side dish, the total came to about 2,500 yen, which was quite reasonable. Don't underestimate chain restaurants, they were delicious♪ Denny's is also proactive in cashless payments. Credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, and Discover Card are accepted. Electronic money and QR code payments such as nanaco, QUICPay, iD, Rakuten Edy, Suica, PASMO, Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, SUGOCA, nimoca, hayakaken, Ticket Restaurant Touch, and PayPay are also accepted. Since Denny's is part of Seven & i Holdings, you can earn points by using nanaco, which is a great deal. https://shinkawasaki.jp/dennys-shimomaruko/Thank you for the meal.
