Today I arrived at work a bit later than usual, so I decided to kill some time before heading in. I stumbled upon a café called Sanmaruku in Kita-Senju Station. The café was quite spacious, with a capacity of around 30 people. They offer a morning set menu until 11 am, which I found impressive. I ordered the 390 yen morning set, which came with coffee and bread. It was a great deal for the price. I spent a relaxing hour there, enjoying the cozy atmosphere, coffee, and bread. I highly recommend checking it out!

Inside the station, at the San Marco Café, I ordered the clam chowder and the premium chocolate croissant with almonds. The clam chowder was served in a paper cup, which was fine, but there was no spoon provided. I looked around but couldn't find one. I didn't want to ask the staff because I couldn't see if there were any ingredients in the chowder. Eventually, I kept drinking and realized there were ingredients in it, but by then it was too late to ask for a spoon (laughs).

The drink + sandwich combo costs 420 yen (including tax) during morning time, which is a good deal as it is worth 600 yen. The coffee has a normal taste. The sandwich is delicious with plenty of fillings. This place is great for passing time.

There is a San Marco Cafe inside Kita-Senju Station called Ekimachi Kita-Senju Store. It is located along the passageway where you transfer from the Chiyoda Line to the Hibiya Line or Tobu Line. I usually just pass by, but today I decided to stop by. Although I wanted to try the chocolate croissant, I had just eaten lunch so I only had an iced coffee. The iced coffee was easy to drink and had a consistent, stable taste.

I went to a beauty salon, had my second beer in Nakameguro, and stopped by a Saint Marc Cafe inside Kita-Senju Station when transferring from Hibiya Line to Chiyoda Line. Nowadays, I can't even do beer bar hopping. Maybe I've become weaker because I'm not drinking? I was interested in getting a Blend M size for 290 yen and a chocolate croissant, but the butter Danish for 220 yen caught my eye. I nostalgically remembered buying Danish pastries from Yamazaki Pan in the past. The blend coffee was quite bitter and seemed to wake up my tired body a bit. The Danish was delicious without sugar toppings, allowing me to taste the buttery flavor. There were new menu items like Premium Choco Cro Choco & Orange for 280 yen. Premium Choco Cro Plum for 280 yen and Premium Choco Cro Matcha Cheesecake for 280 yen were also on the menu, but they were not available at the time of my visit. I'll stop by here for a break when transferring at Kita-Senju Station.

I transfer to the Chiyoda Line from the Hibiya Line to go to work in Matsudo. It's probably one of the most high-low subway transfers in Tokyo. Along the way, I found a cafe. I was so hungry that I couldn't move, even though I had already eaten three times. I ordered a Morning Sandwich Set for 470 yen (tax included) with a blend coffee. Let's go for something fresh. The sandwich was Pastrami Pork & Vegetable, with what I think is cheddar cheese. It had a crust on the bread. I made sure to eat plenty of vegetables for a long and healthy life. The coffee was strong and fragrant. The weather seemed to be turning for the worse after the failure of Ultra Q. Thank you for the meal.

I finished my trip on the "Platt Kodama" train and finally decided to take the "Ryomo-go" to my Gunma hometown. When I had some time, I decided to take a break at the Sanmark Cafe. I couldn't resist stopping by because I used to frequent the "Kitasenju Sanmark Cafe" during my time in Tokyo. I ordered the Matcha Warabi Mochi parfait for 390 yen. Living in Ibaraki, I don't get to go to Sanmark Cafe often, so I felt really happy when I could stop by.

I visited a shop I always pass by when transferring, and today I bought a chocolate croissant. In the past, I used to always eat the 108 yen chocolate croissant from Seven-Eleven, so I couldn't miss out on this one. Even though it costs 170 yen each, which is more expensive than the convenience store, it actually feels cheaper when you eat it. The crispy texture of the bread and the fragrant butter make me feel really good. It's like I'm having breakfast at a café in Paris. I think the definitive difference is the way the bread is baked and the flavor of the butter. I'm impressed by the deliciousness that makes me want to keep eating more. Next time, I'll try something else.

Every morning, after sleeping soundly on the TX train and transferring to the crowded Chiyoda Line at Kitasenju, I take a moment to relax and prepare myself for the battle ahead on the Chiyoda Line platform. Despite the busy mornings, the staff's service is excellent and everything goes smoothly!

At Kita-Senju Station, there is a Sanmark inside the station. Usually, when transferring at Kita-Senju, people transfer from the Joban Line to the Hibiya Line, so they transfer at the north exit. But this time, I had to transfer to the Chiyoda Line, so I went to the south exit for the first time in a while. I saw a sign for "Daily Freshly Baked Bread Morning Set (open until 11 am) 290 yen + tax" so I decided to try it since it was still before 11 am. The special bread for that day was the "Chocolate Croissant Morning Set" which looked delicious. I entered the store and was told to pick out the bread first, then choose a drink, and pay at the register. When I looked at the receipt, I saw that I got a discount of 90 yen, making the total 313 yen including tax. The Chocolate Croissant Morning Set turned out to be a Strawberry Milk Chocolate Croissant. It was still warm and had a nice crispy texture. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was enjoyable. While observing the busy salarymen and office ladies rushing to eat and recharge, I took my time and enjoyed a relaxing moment.

On the way back from Nishi-Arai, I had to transfer from the Tobu Line to the Chiyoda Line and got stuck due to an unfortunate accident around 6 pm. My mom went home ahead of me to prepare dinner. Even though I wasn't feeling well, just having a pudding parfait wasn't enough and I started to feel a bit hungry. I didn't want to leave the station since I thought things would start moving in about an hour, so I decided to pass the time by going to a café. I bought a Blend Coffee Visbee Black Bean. The Visbee was not too sweet, with a blend of southern rice crackers and biscuits, and the black beans were fragrant and delicious. It was satisfying and I didn't feel the need for dinner afterwards.

I used the Ekimachi at Kitasenju Station when transferring to the Chiyoda Line. I didn't know there were shops even in the back of Kitasenju Ekimachi. It has a hidden and cozy atmosphere. The interior is divided into smoking and non-smoking areas. Black Coffee: 190 yen. It's a delicious coffee for the price. Matcha Daifuku Choco Croissant: 180 yen. The second installment in the Daifuku series after the Ichigo Daifuku Choco Croissant. A collaboration of matcha chocolate, sweet red bean paste, and mochi. The red bean paste in the chocolate croissant goes well with black coffee. In the dimly lit shop with jazz playing, a middle-aged man secretly enjoys eating sweet treats.

The Joban Line (local line) is a convenient train. It operates through services with the Chiyoda Line, and also has mutual entry with the Odakyu Odawara Line at Hon-Atsugi Station and via the Shin-Yurigaoka Station to Karakida Station on the Tama Line. If you zone out and board from Matsudo, you'll end up at Tama Center. The Joban Line was weak towards Yokohama. In such cases, transfer at Kita-Senju to the Hibiya Line. Due to mutual entry with the Toyoko Line, you can reach Motomachi Chinatown by transferring at Nakameguro! This is a cafe located along the transfer route. It is convenient for meetings and has proper smoking and non-smoking areas, so it does not smell bad.

I used it when transferring at Kita-Senju. The number of seats inside the store is not that many, so it's nice to have a quick bite during the transfer time. The staff are very agile, and I felt they moved faster than staff at street level stores. It's good that even in a small space, there is proper smoking and non-smoking areas. They have various types of bread, including sandwiches and pastries, so it's a good place to visit multiple times. The bread is delicious, and they serve authentic coffee, so you can be satisfied whether bread or coffee is your main focus.

I had breakfast at Sanmaru Cafe. Breakfast is available until 11 a.m. I had an egg and ham cheese sandwich with a small iced coffee. You can add a small coffee for an additional 150 yen when you order a sandwich or freshly baked bread for around 290 yen. The sandwiches are homemade and delicious. My husband had a chocolate croissant and French toast with a medium iced coffee, but I'm not sure how much they cost. The chocolate croissant was a bit disappointing as it was cold. Sanmaru Cafe is where my sister Keiko works, who always comments on my blog. Keiko introduced the cafe's menu on her blog, which made me want to try it. By the way, Keiko is my sister who lives in Miyagi Prefecture. She was feeling down after the disaster but now she is working hard at Sanmaru Cafe. I invited her for a change of pace, and she even started her own blog. Sometimes my comments to Keiko may seem a bit cold, but that's just how sisters are, right? Keiko, I don't remember the exact prices because my husband treated us, but does that sound about right?

This is a review of a San Marco Café located at the East Exit of Kita-Senju. The café has a cozy atmosphere with a small and not too spacious interior. As soon as you enter, you will see a counter with freshly baked bread displayed. I visited around 10 o'clock and there was still plenty of space available, which was nice. I tried their famous chocolate croissant, and it was delicious being warm and freshly made. The staff were efficient and friendly, making a good impression. I really liked the low-key and inconspicuous vibe of the place. I would love to go back alone and relax there. Also, I was happy to find that the chocolate croissants were sold in a set at a slightly discounted price, making it a great souvenir option.

This time, I used it for dinner time. I was undecided on what to choose, but this time I purchased a chocolate croissant. You can also eat in, but this time I used it for takeout. Order details: Chocolate Croissant 180 yen. The chocolate croissant is a bread with chocolate inside a croissant dough with a strong taste and aroma of butter. It was a delicious dish. The staff's unassuming customer service was impressive. It is a bakery cafe located inside the ticket gate at Kitasenju Station on the Tobu Skytree Line.
