I visited the restaurant alone around 4:30 pm on a regular day. It was pouring rain outside, so I decided to take shelter from the rain and do some work. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was quiet and calm, with many people dining alone. I had come for the taiyaki, but unfortunately, they only had taiyaki monaka with ice cream instead from May to August. So, I reluctantly ordered just an apple tea. Surprisingly, the apple tea cost ¥550 even though it was just a regular tea bag without sugar or milk. Feeling like it would be a waste to leave with just the tea, I decided to add the taiyaki monaka to my order. I tried to change my apple tea to a set with the taiyaki, but I was told that it was not possible. I was a bit confused because the menu mentioned set drinks. Eventually, the taiyaki monaka arrived, and it was delicious with plenty of ice cream and red bean paste. The apple tea and taiyaki monaka seemed to have their prices reversed! This used to be a location where Subway was located. It has been open for quite some time, but I visited for the first time. It's a cafe where you can eat taiyaki, and if you order it with coffee, the coffee is discounted as a set. The interior of the shop is not very large, but I was surprised to see that it was quite crowded. There were about four flavors of taiyaki available. I chose matcha and placed my order. It took a little while, but then hot taiyaki arrived. The skin was crispy and shiny. It was a bit small, but it was delicious with plenty of filling. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant's name seems to mean "a young lady with a neat appearance", so they probably don't have trouble finding employees! I stopped by for dinner and had the meat sauce pasta, which was delicious and right up my alley. It was sweet and flavorful. I also tried their taiyaki with sweet potato filling, which was crispy and delicious. There were no power outlets, but the seating arrangement was cozy and there were some nice seats to relax in. The service was quick and friendly, so it seems like they are successful in finding employees.

I tried the morning set at Emio Hoyasu's Cheval, a cafe I've been curious about for a while. Today, I ordered the cheese toast, which was delicious. The salad that came with the set was satisfying with its generous portion.

I arrive at Hoya Station in the early morning of February 15, 2022. It's been a while since I've taken a train other than the national railway. I decided to avoid the rush hour and arrived at the destination early. I heard there is a place here called "Monisogu" that serves taiyaki, so I was really looking forward to having some taiyaki in the morning, but surprisingly, there was no sign of taiyaki anywhere. Feeling a bit disappointed, I opted for a sandwich instead. It had onions, salami, coleslaw, and cheese. However, there was no sign of pickles. I also enjoyed a salad with a generous amount of dressing and peeled boiled eggs. I noticed a few regular customers in the restaurant, chatting with a man who seemed to be the manager. It was heartwarming to see such a close-knit community. I look forward to visiting again when work picks up.

Lunch and break time combined, entered the shop. This used to be where Subway was, right? Couldn't tell from the outside, but the interior is quite spacious, with a calm lighting. It's relaxing here. Ordered a cafe au lait and Napolitan. Since it's bread or salad, I opted for the salad. The Napolitan had more than enough portion, very satisfying. The taste was of course delicious. After drinking the cafe au lait, decided to stay a bit longer and got a refill with a hot blend, and the recommended Thai-style pudding with custard filling. Refills are a bit cheaper so it's recommended. The Thai-style pudding had a nice crispy texture on the outside, and a chewy texture inside. This is good. I like to eat the part without filling slowly from the top. Ended up staying for about 2 hours, but was very satisfied in the calm interior. Feels like I found a good hidden gem here. In front of the station, there was a café that stood out with a sign that said "taiyaki". Inside the café, there was a register next to which taiyaki was displayed. They had red bean paste flavor for 160 yen. It was interesting to see taiyaki being sold at a café. The taiyaki was pre-made and reheated. The texture of the dough was crispy like a monaka, a little hard, but the flavor was not bad at all. The texture of the red bean paste wasn't very distinct, but the dough and sweetness balanced each other out nicely.

A café in Hoya known for its delicious taiyaki. It's a popular local spot, especially busy during breakfast time. I really like their crispy taiyaki for takeout. The coffee (450 yen) and taiyaki with sweet bean paste filling (160 yen) set seems to be a good deal. They also offer seasonal taiyaki like edamame bean paste and chestnut. I bought the edamame one in summer and the chestnut one in autumn. It's nice that they always have something different. When you reheat them in the oven at home, the skin gets crispy and the inside stays chewy. Both the edamame and chestnut fillings were delicious. The atmosphere inside is calm and I find it a great place to study or work. They used to offer a breakfast set with salad, eggs, and taiyaki. I wish they would bring back that menu, it looked so delicious and Instagram-worthy. Please consider bringing back the Shubel set, I will definitely visit often.

This is a shop on the first floor of Hoya Station. I stopped by for a break during my morning run. They offer both a café and taiyaki sales. Initially, I planned to use the café, but since there was no one else around, I felt a bit awkward and decided to buy a taiyaki and eat it while moving. I bought a red bean taiyaki for 170 yen. The taste was standard with no outstanding features, but it was just right after my run. The red bean filling was sweet with a refreshing taste, giving a modern feel.

I went there to study, but since there weren't many seats, I felt bad about staying for too long. However, the retro atmosphere was cozy and it became my favorite place. Next time, I definitely want to try the famous taiyaki.

Before I knew it, Subway was gone and it had been replaced by Shuvel in Oizumi. I wandered into a mysterious concept called "Taiyaki Cafe". They were selling take-out taiyaki at the storefront. I was guided inside by the staff. They had red bean, custard, sakura bean, and no filling options. When I tried to order red bean, they were out of stock. So, I ended up with Antarctic custard. I ordered an iced coffee and taiyaki (custard) and entered a state of meditation. After a while, the coffee and taiyaki arrived. The taiyaki, cooked in a farmed taiyaki maker, had a strangely clean appearance and was different from the ones you find at food stalls. The custard had a taste somewhere between custard and pudding, with a unique texture reminiscent of uiro (a type of Japanese sweet). I wish I had just gone with red bean after all. I finished my iced coffee and it was time to pay with PASMO. The basil pasta that the guy sitting across from me was eating looked oddly delicious. ===========

Later I found out it's a chain store. It's located under a slightly inconspicuous building. But you can smell the aroma of taiyaki~♪ The children nearby said, "Oh, I smell taiyaki!" Yes, your noses are correct ❤ Let's try buying some then. Children, aren't you jealous~? Hehehe♪ Adults have wallets, you know~. The types of taiyaki are tsubuan, pudding, and sweet potato (seasonal?). Pudding is sold out. It takes 10 minutes to bake. So, let's go with sweet potato. It's soft and chewy. Sweet potato taiyaki, this is also delicious, isn't it~!! The café Shubairu in town was quite interesting and good! Thank you for the meal.

Breakfast outside of curry [Morning Freshly Baked Taiyaki Set!] I had breakfast at a cafe under Hoyai Station on my way to work in the morning. They had sandwiches and all, but what caught my eye was the Morning Freshly Baked Taiyaki Set! It takes about 15 minutes to prepare, but I said it was fine. They said it takes time because it's freshly made in the morning. The taiyaki was swimming just a moment ago. The set came with taiyaki without filling, along with red bean paste, whipped cream, and maple syrup on a plate. It was a first for me to spread the sweet filling on the taiyaki myself. It was delicious with a crispy, fragrant taste when freshly baked. Recommended for those who have plenty of time in the morning. It was an interesting experience. The end.
