Recently, with the return of foreign tourists, it has become more common to see long lines outside of shops. However, on this day, there happened to be seats available so I decided to have dinner here for the first time in a while. I had the "soy sauce ramen (500 yen)" and as always, it was delicious. I think it's a great deal to get this quality for 500 yen. Everyone has their own preferences, but the unique deliciousness that you can't easily find at other shops makes this place worth trying for those who haven't been here before.

Today, we visited not for dinner but for a late-night meal. It was past 10 o'clock and there was already a line. Luckily, we were able to get in before they sold out. The red star ramen was incredibly delicious as always. We were truly satisfied!

There was a huge line, so I decided to wait and try the Hokkaido ramen for 500 yen after 30 minutes of waiting. I took a bite...hmm. Hmm. Maybe for those who are used to eating it, it's a "familiar taste" or a "nostalgic taste." It's like the Sugakiya in Nagoya maybe? As someone who is used to eating delicious ramen, I couldn't find the deliciousness in it. Honestly, I took a couple of bites and then ended up leaving it. Surprisingly, my husband also left his (he never leaves any food). I realized once again that cheap does not always mean delicious, and a long line does not always mean delicious. I hope this information is helpful for those who are not from Hokkaido.

Today, I went to this place with good cost performance because I have a night shift and wanted to eat ramen before heading there. There were 3 customers before us, so we had to wait outside for our turn due to the small size of the restaurant. As soon as a table opened up, we quickly grabbed seats for 3 people. We ordered by purchasing tickets from the machine, and I decided to try the miso ramen this time, wanting to compare it to the ramen I had yesterday. I remember that this place had started appearing on food review websites, but I had forgotten the taste (lol). When the ramen arrived, I took a sip of the fish-based miso soup, which had a nice flavor enhanced by garlic powder. The noodles were curly egg noodles, and the chashu was tender and melted in the mouth. It tasted fresh and delicious (lol). Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

I suddenly felt like having Akaboshi's soy sauce ramen. I visited after work. Today's choice was soy sauce ramen for 500 yen. I think it's rare to find such delicious ramen at this price nowadays. Today's discovery was the amazing collaboration between the seaweed and the soup. The use of rock seaweed instead of regular seaweed really enhanced the flavors of both. The smooth thin noodles were easy to eat as always, and the way they mixed with the soup was outstanding. Thank you for the meal today!

I thought the wait wouldn't be too long since there were only two groups waiting outside, but it took 15 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes for the food to be served. I've had similar long waits at other restaurants, so I wonder if it's common for ramen shops in Hokkaido to have long wait times. I ordered the salt ramen in large size and clam rice. The ramen had a strong broth with curly noodles, and it was quite delicious. I added garlic powder halfway through, and it mixed well with the robust soup. The clam rice had a rich flavor and was also very tasty. I would like to visit again when it's not too crowded next time.

My friend suggested we try the 500 yen ramen, so we went to the popular ramen shop. I ordered the salt ramen for 500 yen and waited in line. A notable feature is the shop's signature salt and soy sauce flavored ramen, which is priced at only 500 yen even during this period of high prices (as of July 2021). Additionally, their famous flavor-changing item is the "saba garlic powder". The combination of mackerel and garlic may sound unfamiliar, but it piques curiosity about the taste. The ramen arrives about 7 minutes after seating. As a miso lover, I chose miso flavor. After finishing a 5-hour work shift, I decided to treat myself to ramen at Akaboshi, a place I had been eagerly anticipating trying. I ordered the soy sauce chashu ramen (large) with barley rice (small) from the ticket machine, which only cost me 1050 yen. The ramen arrived promptly after about 7 minutes, and I found it to be light yet flavorful, with a delicious broth that really hit the spot. The traditional chashu was also very tasty. The barley rice complemented the dish well. The small, cozy shop was mostly full during lunchtime, but the staff were friendly and attentive. I definitely want to come back to try their soy sauce and salt ramen for only 500 yen. After the meal, I went home for a nap. It was a very satisfying day.

Pre-drinking meal. I tried ordering salt for the first time. It was described as light and refreshing. While waiting, the pitcher of water was empty. Even though the owner couldn't see, it was casually replaced with a full one. What a craftsman. Now, about the salt ramen, the base is the same as soy sauce. Still delicious! However, I prefer the soy sauce flavor here as it's more robust. Thank you for the wonderful ramen today!

This time, I wanted to try the pure Akaboshi ramen. Last time, I got too greedy with the toppings and it ended up having a strong seaweed smell, which seemed more suited for experts. So, this time, I went with the normal soy sauce flavor. And, it's definitely much more delicious!! The soy sauce flavor really stands out. It's a well thought out balance. I remember eating miso soup a while ago and it was normal. I heard that soy sauce ramen was recommended so I came to check it out. The miso soup was at a regular price but the soy sauce ramen was only 500 yen, which seemed too cheap. So, I decided to splurge and ordered it with extra green onions and barley rice topping. While waiting, I was impressed by the movements of the owner? The place was really busy but he calmly cleared tables and refilled water in between, utilizing every spare moment effectively. A true craftsman. Before I knew it, my ramen was served. When I tried it, the perfection of the soy sauce flavor was amazing. Is soy sauce ramen supposed to be this delicious? I usually only eat miso soup so this was quite a shock. The soup kept disappearing quickly... No, let's focus on the noodles now. These noodles were also the best, perfectly matched with the soup. Amazing, amazing. Slurp, slurp. The only thing that didn't work for me was the seaweed topping. The seaweed aroma was too strong and distracted from the pure flavor. It was tasty, though. It's rare to see a place where people finish their soup completely, but this place was truly outstanding. And the barley rice was delicious too. Even though I have a small appetite, I was able to eat so much... My stomach was captured...

With an additional flavored egg topping for 100 yen, the total came to 600 yen. Around 7 pm, there was a line outside the restaurant. Despite the small space, I was able to enter in about 10 minutes. The salt was also of high quality. The mackerel with garlic powder did a great job. Thank you for the meal.

On July 21, 2023 (Friday), for lunch, I had soy sauce ramen and barley rice at a place that is still working hard to keep their one-coin price, offering excellent value for money. The restaurant is located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and is in the Tanukikoji Shopping Street. They are open from 11:00 to 22:00 every day, with no scheduled holidays and no parking available. The place is called Sapporo Akaboshi. It's a pretty good spot around the West 20th Street in Sapporo. The food is delicious, and they offer various types of ramen, including salt, soy sauce, and miso ramen.

I love cold ramen! I usually make and eat the orthodox one at home, but I want to try some unique ones from restaurants. According to the TV, this cold ramen changes its contents every year, and this year it includes eggplant (love it!), peeled mini tomatoes, Korean seaweed, and it looks delicious! So, I went to try it after watching a movie in Tanukikoji. The restaurant only has a counter, and there were no women, just a bunch of male customers. It was a bit surprising, but I was fine as a solo diner because the veteran lady was there. I bought a meal ticket and it arrived in about 10 minutes. The visual was fantastic just like on TV. When I tasted it, the flavor was a bit different from what I had imagined. The eggplant was not fried but boiled? The chashu had a good volume. The tomato was light. The Korean seaweed was very good. The thick sinachiku might not match well with cold ramen. I felt like there was a lack of unity in the overall taste due to the unique ingredients... Maybe adding sesame seeds to bring together the distinctive ingredients would be good. The hot ramen looked really delicious, so I want to try it in winter next time. By the time I left, there were many tourists lined up.

In this day and age, I respect the policy of continuing to provide meals for just one coin. I had the soy sauce ramen. Regardless of the price, this is a high-level dish. I finished the soup while adjusting the flavor with the "mackerel garlic powder" for seasoning. Thank you for the meal.

Located in 7-chome of Tanuki Koji, this restaurant is quite a walk from the nearest transportation. They offer salt and soy sauce for 500 yen, which is good value for money, and the place is usually busy. The interior is small, with only about 10 seats. I ordered the cold noodles this time, which had a generous amount of toppings and a decent taste. Priced at 800 yen, it's good value for money, but I'm not sure if I would come back again.

I was rejected by the ramen shop I was aiming for, so it had been a few years since my last visit. Eating there didn't bring back any memories, so it felt almost like a first visit. I haven't been to this place for at least 12 years. I went for lunch without driving, and had a Red Star beer as well. I was planning to go eat sea urchin, but it was inconvenient to go there, so I stopped by this place nearby for its affordability and nostalgia. I had the salt ramen, which was delicious. After drinking, I had ramen. Tanukikoji is bustling again. I had to wait a bit to get into this ramen shop. It was delicious, but I feel like this ramen tastes better after drinking. It seems to settle in the body more and taste better than eating it during the day. I will definitely go back after drinking again.
