The milk from Yamanaka Farm is exceptionally delicious, which raises expectations for their soft serve ice cream. I have eaten here multiple times and always go for the milk soft serve ice cream in a cone. This time, I ordered the Coffee Float (400 yen). It didn't look impressive in a paper cup and the portion was small, but the taste of the soft serve was rich and sweet. It was incredibly smooth and creamy. The coffee flavor was average, but the combination of the slight bitterness of the coffee and the sweet soft serve created a great taste. Ultimately, the milk soft serve ice cream is the winner. The shop is not ideal for taking photos, but there is a great spot for photography just a minute's walk away at the old Temiya Line. It was convenient as a customer, so I bought a cup of milk soft serve. There was a bench along the wall inside the shop, so I sat there and enjoyed the ice cream while cooling off. It was incredibly rich and had a great sweetness from the milk. The portion size was quite generous as well. It was a long time since I had such a delicious dessert after a meal.

Both the main store and the Otaru branch have been selected as one of the top 100 ice cream and gelato shops in 2023 on Tabelog. They are known for their fresh milk, which is unadjusted, low-temperature sterilized, and additive-free, as they are directly managed by the ranch. Their soft serve ice cream is also made with 100% dairy products, including milk and cream. Regarding the soft serve ice cream: Milk Soft Serve Ice Cream - 350 yen for regular size, plus 50 yen for a big size. It has a refreshing taste that allows you to feel the milk. It is similar to milk sherbet in terms of its refreshing taste. When it melts, it has a smooth texture just like milk, and it is quite different from rich cream-based soft serve ice cream. This refreshing flavor is perfect for the hot summer in Otaru, and it was delicious. Additionally, for just an extra 50 yen, you can get a big size, which is a great deal as you get more than 50 yen worth of ice cream.

It's located near a popular tourist spot, the former Temiya Line. I definitely want to visit again!

While waiting, I saw a Korean child playing with snow toys making piles of poop next to the soft-serve ice cream shop. I wanted to tell them to stop because it was disrupting business, but kids will be kids, right? I ordered a small size milk soft-serve ice cream in a cone. The taste of milk was really strong, almost overpowering. At first, I was taken aback, but it was actually quite delicious with a mild sweetness. I sometimes have soft-serve ice cream from a certain chain, but that one is too sweet.
