One day, on a day off in the evening, my partner and I took a stroll near Horikiri Station. We decided to have a drink somewhere, and I remembered a shop that had been under construction recently. We went to check it out and found that it was already open. The name of the shop was "New Okachan Hikifune Branch," with the main branch located in Kameido. Since we were already there, we decided to go in. There were two older ladies already there, and one other customer who seemed like a regular. We sat at the counter, and my partner ordered a bottle of beer (Akahoshi) while I ordered a Vodka Sour. After a few minutes, our drinks arrived. The appetizer was fried cartilage. For our main dishes, I ordered a ham cutlet and my partner ordered grilled squid. You could specify the number of ham cutlets you wanted, so my partner suggested we order just one. The ham cutlet was cut into four pieces, and it was delicious with a nice texture. Just as we were enjoying it, the grilled squid arrived. It was a whole squid, quite large in size. It was delicious and had a great flavor. We chatted and enjoyed our drinks, and my partner had another beer. It was time for my companion to return, so we decided to leave.
