"Skip and Loafer" is interesting. I knew the original name but hadn't read it. It's serialized in Afternoon, so I thought it would definitely be my type... but it's really interesting. The anime adaptation is great too. P.A.WORKS is the best when it comes to youth stories. It may sound like a typical story about a girl from the countryside starting school when you hear about it, but the characters are so lively. They don't just give easy attributes for characterizing, but rather depict the emotional landscape, which becomes the character. The protagonist may not look cute at first glance, but through skillful portrayal of her actions, she naturally becomes endearing. Excellent. Now, this is "An Vede Turuxe" in Tokyo Midtown, a recently opened patisserie café. It's a new concept from the An Vede in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa. This is their third store, following the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa main store and Shibuya Scramble Square store. The other stores only offer takeout, but this one is their first café. However, you can only have parfaits at the café. There are two types of parfaits available for café use. Crepes and other items are only for takeout. Cakes cannot be eaten at the café either. It's a bit disappointing, especially as it becomes harder to take cakes home in this season. The cakes available for takeout are cakes, baked goods, chocolates, etc. The canelé seems to be popular, but it was sold out when I visited. You need to come early to get it. The cakes have a different lineup from the main store, with a middle ground between petit gateau and whole cakes, priced around 1000 yen. Here's what I tried: - Parfait: Fraises - It had white chocolate petals and strawberries on top, with strawberry sauce and crumble. In the center, there was Chantilly, vanilla ice cream, and meringue. The strawberry slices were placed on Chantilly with strawberry jelly. The crumble on top of the diplomat cream at the end left a great aftertaste. I chose the mocktail "Cachimero" for the drink, which had cassis and fragrant melon. The rich sweetness of the melon complemented the acidity of the cassis. A cute parfait experience at the long-awaited café by An Vede. But I still want to try the cakes at the café... Thank you for the meal!

In Tokyo, there is a shop called Anvdeet in Midtown Yaesu. Although there are also stores in Kiyosumi and Shibuya, only this one has a café. I had been wanting to try their cakes for a while, and finally had the chance to purchase one. I decided to go for their specialty, the Jasmine Pample cake for 5,184 yen. It is a refreshing combination of jasmine-scented cream and grapefruit. The cake was beautiful even when sliced, with a crispy cookie base, a hint of jasmine fragrance in the cream, and the delicious sweet and sour taste of grapefruit jelly and pulp, which is not commonly found in cakes.

I went to buy a birthday cake before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. It was a cake shop that opened on the 1st floor of Midtown Yaesu. The shop is located inside Midtown, facing the corridor. There is also a cafe where you can eat in, but it was full. They had several types of cakes, including a beautifully designed grapefruit cake shaped like a hat and gâteau fraise, but I chose the grapefruit cake! They also wrote a message for me and put candles on it. The cake I chose was called "Jasman Pample" for 5,184 yen. It combines jasmine-scented cream with grapefruit for a refreshing finish. The design with the beautiful cream folds on the surface was very attractive. The chocolate around it was also unique and eye-catching. Overall, it was refreshing and not too sweet, allowing you to fully enjoy the cake while feeling light. When you take a bite, you can enjoy the fluffy mousse, the texture of the grapefruit peel, and the crispy cookie dough. The jasmine tea leaves on top add a slightly bitter taste that enhances the flavor. The bottom cookie dough was slightly sweet and salty, adding another accent. It was delicious! The crepes also looked delicious, so I would like to try them as well.

Near Tokyo Station, there is a fantastic sweets shop called EN VEDETTE LUXE on the 1st floor of Tokyo Midtown. The sweets not only look great but also taste amazing! I wanted to try all of their sweets, but couldn't. They provide a small space for eating in, and it's convenient that they list the ingredients on the back of the wrapping paper. Although the space is small, it's great that you can eat in there. Just keep in mind that you have to order a drink if you want to eat in. The shop is a hidden gem, but the glass walls make it feel a bit cramped, giving a sense of being on display. However, if you don't mind that, it's a great hidden spot. @envedette_luxe

I happened to pass by and bought it, but the Mont Blanc was a kind I had tried before, which was somewhat disappointing. I was happy to see the ingredients listed on the back of the paper with the product name. I think other cake shops should follow suit. Overall, the taste was a bit heavy and not to my liking.

At noon on a regular day, there were no customers passing by here. So, I decided to have a parfait and took a seat. I ordered a Parfait Frais, which I found out was made with strawberries. The appearance was simple and to my liking, but upon reading the description, I realized that it was carefully crafted with various components. From top to bottom (according to the shop's explanation): white chocolate (petals), strawberry sauce, strawberries, crumble, Chantilly cream, vanilla ice cream, meringue, strawberries, Chantilly cream, strawberry jelly, Diplomat cream, crumble. The small strawberries I saw for the first time made me think they were a new type of berry, but they turned out to be regular strawberries. The strong acidity may be for balance with the parfait. I felt a refreshing flavor in the vanilla ice cream, and when I asked, I was told that although they put effort into making it, the ingredients were the same as regular vanilla ice cream. It seemed like there were no eggs, but it turns out there were. Thank you for the meal! [Other]: Diplomat cream is a mixture of patissier (custard cream) and chantilly cream (whipped cream).

Now onto the main dishes.
- Parfait Melon...¥3,300 (tax included)
The composition of 11 different ingredients is quite impressive, but if I were to be picky, I would have been happier if the ice cream was not vanilla (I'm sorry, I don't like vanilla). Each component is delicious, and the combination seems well thought out. Above all, it is beautifully refined.
- Gateau Fraises...¥1,100 (tax included)
Surprisingly, the whipped cream is light, and the chocolate decoration is white chocolate, so when eaten together, the balance is just right.
- Mont Blanc...¥1,210 (tax included)
I love this one! The cream with a hint of rum raisin is exquisitely delicious. I will definitely come back for this.
- Coffee (Long Black)...¥517 (tax included)
Is that chocolate? It seems to have a faint aroma. A well-made and delicious coffee.
- Sablé à La Posh...¥1,620 (tax included)
I wonder if hazelnuts are kneaded into it. This simple and delicious sablé is so addictive.
I was looking forward to the parfait, but there are still many appealing cakes left, so I am excited for the next visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ☆

Located on the first floor of Midtown Yaesu, this patisserie has its main store in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa. The interior of the store is stylish and fashionable. They sell baked goods and cakes, and also have a cafe. I purchased the Mini Parfait for 972 yen. You can choose from 9 flavors of gelato, and I chose pineapple. The Mini Parfait consists of gelato topped with whipped cream, meringue, and strawberry sauce with a strawberry on top. The strawberry was firm with a hint of acidity, while the whipped cream was sweet. The tropical-scented pineapple was refreshing and perfect for the hot summer weather. Since gelato cannot be eaten at the cafe inside the store, I enjoyed it at Yaesu Public on the second floor, where tables and chairs are provided. I would like to try their cakes at the cafe inside the store next time.

The other day, I came to Tokyo Midtown Yaesu to buy a birthday present. After some consideration, I got the birthday present and then decided to visit this patisserie, "EN VEDETTE LUXE". The shop is located on the 1st floor of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, which recently opened across from Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station. Even if it's raining, you can access Tokyo Midtown Yaesu through the underground passage without going outside, which is convenient. The shop opened on March 10th this year as a new concept of the patisserie "EN VEDETTE" in the Kiyosumi Shirakawa area. It seems to be a joint venture by Daisuke Mori and Takako Kashiwara. The shop has baked goods on the left, cakes in front, and a cafe space on the right. According to the staff, you can't eat cakes inside the shop, only parfaits are served. I'm not sure about the reasoning behind this, maybe a strategy to increase the average customer spending... Anyway, I was okay with getting a parfait, but since the seats were full and I didn't feel like waiting, I decided to take out. I bought a Fore Noir for 950 yen, Lieve Lupti Plain for 330 yen, and Lieve Lupti Caramel for 330 yen. The Fore Noir is a chocolate cake with dark cherry, and it's a light and easy-to-eat adult chocolate cake. The Lieve Lupti Plain and Lieve Lupti Caramel are like a cross between Baumkuchen and pound cake, with the Plain having apricot pate de fruit and the Caramel having orange pate de fruit. The taste didn't impress me enough to want to come back for more at 330 yen each. The shop has a chic and elegant atmosphere, and the pricing is on the higher side, making it not so affordable for someone like me. The staff were polite, and credit cards were accepted for payment. Overall, the cakes and baked goods seemed a bit pricey, but I might try the parfait next time I visit.

A cake shop located on the first floor of Midtown Yaesu facing the rotary at the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station. They offer takeout options for fresh cakes and baked goods, as well as parfaits for dining in. On this day, they had four types of parfaits: Strawberry ¥2,750, Mango ¥3,080, Melon ¥3,300, and Tarte Tatin (Apple Caramelized, Chocolate, Caramel, etc.) ¥3,300. I chose the Mango parfait. It was filled with sweet and juicy mango, with a hint of acidity from the passion fruit sorbet. The coconut tuile was a nice palate cleanser. The location is great, so the prices may be understandable, but it would be nice if they were a bit more affordable. The staff were very polite and attentive.

En Vedette Luxe @ Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 2-2-1, 1st Floor of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, open from 11:00 to 21:00. A patisserie specializing in cakes that opened in March 2023 on the first floor of Midtown Yaesu. I often see their Instagram post of the Parfait Fraise priced at 2,750 yen, so I decided to visit for lunch. The parfait had a white chocolate petal shape and strawberries on the top layer, with vanilla ice cream, meringue, and whipped cream creating layers of white, and fresh strawberries with just the right amount of acidity, offering a variety of flavors that were complex but delicious. Looking at the recipe in the photo, it was evident that cream was generously used, resulting in a rich and flavorful taste. Perhaps because it was newly opened, the eat-in space was all to myself when I entered at noon on a weekday, with only a few people coming in for takeout, mainly corporate customers buying baked goods. While their cakes also looked delicious, the Parfait Fraise available for eat-in was exceptional. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoSweets #YaesuGourmet #YaesuLunch #YaesuCafe #YaesuSweets #TokyoMidtownYaesu #ParfaitFraise #WantToConnectWithFoodies #WantToConnectWithSweetsLovers #EnVedetteLuxe

Today's dessert time. I visited An Vde Trucs at Tokyo Station. I was very interested in the parfait, but this time I decided to try the cake.
- Gâteau Fraise 1000 yen (tax included)
- Set Ice Coffee 300 yen
The Gâteau Fraise has white chocolate beautifully attached on the side. The cake itself is delicious with a rich and flavorful egg taste. When eaten with the white chocolate, the milkiness of the chocolate combines perfectly making it extremely tasty. I also tried a bit of the Mont Blanc that my companion was eating, and it had a subtle hint of liquor aroma and was very delicious. It was a delightful meal. Thank you for the meal.

Let's have lunch in Yaesu on our day off, take a walk and do some shopping before taking a short break before heading home. This time, let's visit EN VEDETTE LUXE on the first floor of Midtown Yaesu. When we arrived at the restaurant, only one table was occupied. We told the staff that we wanted to dine in, then we picked our cakes while looking at the showcase and sat down. Now let's place our order. Let's have Mont Blanc and Fore Noir cakes. For drinks, I'll have a Flat White (HOT) and my wife will have a Craft Ginger Ale. The cakes arrived while we were looking at the baked goods in the showcase. The Mont Blanc has a unique shape. It is made with French chestnut cream, tart, ganache, candied chestnuts, and rum-soaked raisins. The rum flavor in the raisins is strong. The chestnut flavor is moderate, and the sweetness is just right. The Fore Noir is made with dark cherries soaked in kirsch syrup, mixed into chocolate cream, and topped with kirsch-flavored whipped cream. The dark cherry flavor stands out. It's a rich chocolate cake with a mild chocolate taste. The Flat White has a strong espresso flavor, which I like. This is the taste I expect from a Flat White. We enjoyed delicious cakes and Flat White dining in. Thank you for the meal. Now, let's head to the station.

The Jasmine Pudding is 1080 yen and the Foret Noire is 1026 yen. The cakes at the Bvlgari Il Cioccolato on the 40th floor are small and cost close to 4000 yen, so it's not something for everyday use, but here you can buy a slightly luxurious cake. The baked goods also come in stylish boxes, making them a good choice for souvenirs.

Midtown Yaesu was also crowded, but after lunch, I bought dessert here. I tried the cake made with jasmine, which used high-quality cream and was delicious. The cakes in the store are a bit expensive, over 1000 yen, but considering the quality of the ingredients, it seems reasonable.

First floor of Yaesu Midtown. It seems to be positioned as the high-end line of a patisserie in Kiyosumi Shirakawa. The eat-in area was crowded, but I couldn't resist trying the specialty and ended up getting a take-out to eat on the second floor food court. Jasmine Pample. It's wonderful that they include a card with all the components listed. As you can see, it's very elaborate with lots of parts. The refreshing flavor of jasmine combined with grapefruit is a winning combination. Despite the name, it felt slightly more passionate, but it was so delicious that it didn't matter. I'm curious about the other cakes, and they also offer parfaits for eat-in. I will definitely go back.

I had a cake and a crepe for takeout. The crepe was around 1700 yen? It was quite expensive, but it had a lot of strawberries. Personally, I prefer crepes with ice cream, so if it had ice cream in it, it would be perfect. The cream was very generous, and I felt a little sick after eating it... Maybe it's because of my age! I haven't eaten the cake yet ☻ Looking forward to it!

I had some time before lunch, so I tried to get a parfait but the store was still closed. They only had a few seats for dining in, and the popular items were the sweets in box containers. The canelés were gone quickly, but luckily I had asked them to hold two for me. The parfait was average for the price. Thank you for the meal!

Located in Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, "EN VEDETTE LUXE" is a new concept of the original "EN VEDETTE" store in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Tokyo. This place focuses on luxury in every aspect, from ingredients to ambiance to packaging. The key word here is "LUXE"! One of their specialties is the "Parfait Fraise" with a set of red tea. The parfait is beautifully decorated with white chocolate petals, crispy meringue, crumble, Chantilly cream, vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, diplomat cream, and fresh strawberries. The vanilla ice cream is delicious with visible vanilla beans, giving it a milky and everlasting taste. The Chantilly cream is generous, and when combined with the strawberries, ice cream, and other elements, it creates a truly delicious experience. The coffee is from Allpress espresso, and the red tea is from tea pond, adding a touch of Kiyosumi Shirakawa to the experience. The eat-in option is limited to parfaits or drinks only, as the cakes in the showcase cannot be consumed on-site. The cakes are beautiful and quite pricey, reflecting the luxurious theme of the place. I finally had the chance to visit this place in Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, which opened on March 10th. The entrance is easy to find, right by the front door, with a glass facade attracting many passersby. Overall, it was a delightful experience!
