When it finally turned 10 AM, I ordered the Forbidden Fruit hot sandwich for 1100 yen. It took about 20 minutes to be ready, so I had plenty of time to wait. The Forbidden Fruit sandwich was filled with apple, pork belly, onion, and cheese. I was so excited to finally meet it, as I was disappointed not being able to eat it last time and even tried to make it at home. The breakfast menu also includes 5 types of hot sandwiches. They all looked delicious, so I want to try them all! I also wanted to try the fruit sandwich, so I bought the "Peach and Earl Grey" for 700 yen as a souvenir. When I had it as a snack at home, the subtle scent of Earl Grey paired perfectly with the sweet and sour peach. When I was feeling full and in the mood for coffee, I passed by this place and decided to just get a drink. The sandwiches and fruits all looked delicious, but due to limited stomach space, I chose a banana smoothie. It was so delicious! The place was spacious and cool, which made the experience even better. Although the restaurant seemed like it might be pricey for lunch, the idle time was comfortable and very nice. Today's take-out options were Peach and Earl Grey, Gracias Mango, and Forbidden Fruit. To be honest, I was a bit concerned about the lack of balance. While all the fruits were delicious, I felt that the bread was lacking. It was quite thick but lacked moisture and fluffiness, making me lose interest after a few bites and just wanting to eat the fruits. Personally, I am curious about options like Elvis or Tuna Egg Cheese, as they might pair well with that bread, so I would like to try them in the future.

Fukkatsu Kajitsu, a cafe popular for its fruit sandwiches located a 10-minute walk from Naka-Meguro Station, relocated near Meguro Police Station on February 13th this year. I visited for lunch for the first time after the move. Upon entering at 12:30 on a weekday, there was one customer already seated and three others arrived after me. The interior of the cafe features concrete walls, with seating options including 5 tables for two and 3 counter seats. I ordered the Peach and Earl Grey sandwich for 800 yen and an iced coffee for 500 yen, totaling 1300 yen. The Peach sandwich, the last one left, was a lucky find. The peach, marinated in Earl Grey tea from a contracted farm in Yamanashi, was cut into large juicy slices. The cream, made with whipped cream, mascarpone, and cane sugar, provided a natural sweetness. The bread used for the sandwich was soft and fluffy. The combination of the cream's sweetness, the peach's natural sweetness, and juiciness made for a delicious peach sandwich. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This place is located on New Chaya-zaka Street, quite a distance from Naka-Meguro towards Fudomae on Yamate Street. It was originally part of Futsu ni Furu Utsu in Daikanyama, but became independent and opened in the same location as Swell Coffee Roasters in 2021. After temporarily closing last summer, it reopened in February this year at its current location. Futsu ni Furu Utsu relocated to Shimokitazawa and eventually closed down, but they still serve Furu Utsu sandwiches at Ichibusa in Shimokitazawa. I visited hoping to try the Forbidden Fruit (menu item), but they didn't serve it during breakfast hours. I arrived shortly after opening at 8 am and tried the Hot Sandwich with An Butter and Grilled Cheese instead. It was quite filling and satisfying for a breakfast option. Personally, I was curious about trying the unique Forbidden Fruit sandwich (apple, pork belly, onion, and cheese) to see how the flavors come together.

[Spicy Takeout Bliss] This cafe with a forbidden fruit-like name seems to specialize in spicy takeout. The interior is a mix of concrete and wood, with the kitchen on the left as you enter, and the register. It's a new place, with a main area and an L-shaped bench with low tables where about 12-13 people can sit. The Chicken Over Rice and Taco Rice combo (half and half) costs around 1200 yen, with a nice mild spiciness and tasty meat, saffron rice, and vegetables. They also require you to order a drink when dining in. Pets like dogs are allowed, and there's a stylish compact restroom. The interior is trendy, and the staff seemed to be young men and women. The place is known for its fruit sandwich, and it recently moved to its current location about 4 months ago (spring 2023).

I walked a little from Naka-Meguro, but it's still within walking distance. It's great that they open early in the morning! I arrived a little after 8 o'clock. When peaches started appearing little by little, I saw a post from this shop saying "MOMO is here!" and decided to visit for the first time. The entrance had a large wooden door, making it hard to see inside, which made it a bit intimidating for first-timers. But there was a sign outside saying, "First-timers might find it hard to enter. What kind of shop is this with such a unique name?" in a friendly tone, which gave me the courage to go inside. The shop owner greeted me warmly. It was 10:30 am on a weekday, and there were no other customers at that time. During my visit, I saw regular customers of various ages, both men and women. The peach sandwich I had been looking forward to was made with peaches marinated in Earl Grey tea and a cream made of mascarpone, cream, and cane sugar. The shop proudly sources their peaches from a contracted farmer in Yamanashi, and the peaches had a gentle sweetness. The sandwich bread was soft and delicious. I ordered a chai tea, and when I mentioned that I preferred it less sweet to not overshadow the peach flavor, they kindly adjusted the sweetness for me. The chai tea was also recommended by the owner, and it paired well with the peach sandwich. The mango sandwich displayed in the showcase also looked tempting. I'll have to come back again. Fruit sandwiches are very delicious, as well as meal sandwiches. When butter is spread and the sandwich is freshly baked, it has a nice aroma, with a crispy outside and a soft inside. The sandwich is also very filling, with lots of meat, vegetables, and fruits. The tiramisu is just average. As the weather gets warmer and rainy, it's nice to have a cafe where you can stay indoors. The seating is like benches, but surprisingly spacious, allowing dogs to be comfortably separated from other customers and have a relaxing and peaceful nap.

I was curious about the shop's name, so I bought a mango fruit sandwich to take home. It can be a bit intimidating to enter a shop where you can't see inside, but I mustered up the courage to open the forbidden door (just a regular automatic door) and found a seating area and a showcase to the left. Since it was just in time for the morning menu, I ordered the Elvis hot sandwich for 800 yen and a hot café latte for 600 yen. The Elvis sandwich had banana, bacon, peanut butter, honey, and other ingredients, creating a sweet and salty flavor. The other sandwich seemed to be a cheese-based one, but I was curious about the unique Elvis sandwich so I chose that. I heard that the shop has moved and opened a new location a little walk from Naka-Meguro Station, behind the Naka-Meguro Police Station. I was a bit overwhelmed by the atmosphere inside the shop, so I ended up getting my fruit sandwich to go instead of using it as a café.
