Today I came to Shimachu to buy cat food, and I thought about eating soba at Wise, but it's raining and cold, so I decided against it. How about ramen downstairs? Oh, that's right, there's Mos Burger here, so I visited for the first time. It's similar to Sengawa, where it's combined with Baskin Robbins. Currently, Mos Burger is in the midst of the "Local Creative Burger Battle". I don't really understand the deep meaning behind it, but in the "Prefecture Attractiveness Ranking", Nagasaki Prefecture is ranked 11th, while Saitama Prefecture is at the bottom, 44th, just above Ibaraki Prefecture at 47th. In terms of FIFA rankings, Nagasaki Prefecture is higher ranked than Saitama Prefecture, so it should be an uneven match. Yet, why are these relatively unknown prefectures battling it out on such a big stage? It's like the old days of the Pacific League when Lotte played against Kintetsu at Kawasaki Stadium (laughs). I decided to buy both burgers, but they cost 880 yen for two, and if you add fries and a drink, it easily goes over 1000 yen, so I stopped. First, I tried the "Chichibu Waraji Katsu Burger from Saitama Prefecture for 430 yen". It's said that the Negi Miso sauce from Fukaya is the key, but the taste is quite ordinary. Next, I tried the "Nagasaki Turkish Rice-style Burger for 450 yen". It has meat sauce or something like Napolitan on top of the cutlet, and although it's messy to eat with sauce dripping, it's more delicious or rather more suitable. So, the verdict is a close win for Nagasaki Prefecture. After all, Nagasaki Prefecture has produced legends like Maekawa Kiyoshi in the past and now the one and only Fukuyama Masaharu. In comparison, Saitama Prefecture has comedians like Tsuchida Akira, Saitama no Zou, and Kitazawa Akiko. Maybe that's why they couldn't compete (laughs).
