On April 9, 2022 (Saturday) for dinner with my partner, we tried a newly opened restaurant located on the basement floor of the building that houses Mizusu on the first floor and Kujirayama on the second floor on Nakamichi Street. The restaurant's name seems to be inspired by that movie with Arthur Penn and Dustin Hoffman, about the reinterpretation of American history and Native Americans, which led to Marlon Brando's Academy Award boycott. We entered the restaurant at 5:30 pm, with a reservation at 7 pm, and chose to sit at the counter. We started with a chef's selection sashimi platter (950 yen) of octopus, horse mackerel, sea bream, and barracuda, which was decently tasty. Upon recommendation, we ordered the confit chicken wings with Sichuan pepper flavor (580 yen), mapo tofu (650 yen), and smoked grilled pork tongue (680 yen). The chicken wings were delicious, full of flavor and well-seasoned. The mapo tofu had a Japanese twist with a hint of Sichuan pepper and was tasty. The smoked grilled pork tongue was also very delicious. The background music was unexpectedly ABBA, with songs like "Chiquitita," "Winner Takes It All," and "Voulez-Vous." We also ordered camembert and prosciutto tempura (590 yen) and grilled duck pate (750 yen). The former was tasty, but the prosciutto flavor was a bit lost in the tempura. The grilled duck pate was exceptionally delicious. We had 5 glasses of draft beer, my partner had 2 adult lemon sours, and the total bill was 8,750 yen. We think it's a great addition to the dining scene and worth welcoming. Today's new COVID-19 cases were 8,102 in Tokyo, 4,200 in Osaka, 3,792 in Kanagawa, and a record high of 740 in Nagano Prefecture, with a total of 52,647 cases nationwide.
