Lunch today, I was thinking about what to eat as a gourmet low-carb girl. Since I enjoyed the herbal soup lunch I had the other day, I was looking for something warm and soupy again. I found this place where you can have shabu-shabu for one person. It's great because you can enjoy the soup at the end and eat plenty of vegetables and meat, killing two birds with one stone. So, I decided to visit the place right away.
1. Exterior, atmosphere, interior of the restaurant:
Located directly connected to Tokyo Station, at the far end of the Yaesu underground restaurant area. It's also close to Nihonbashi Station. Inside the restaurant, there are tables for four people lined up, which might make a solo diner feel a bit awkward. It would be better if there were tables for two people at least. The atmosphere is bright and feels like a family restaurant. Therefore, it seems that many families and groups visit the place.
2. About the food:
It seems that the all-you-can-eat meat menu is popular, but I just wanted to eat lots of vegetables, so I ordered the "Beef and Pork Mix Lunch 150g for 1,150 yen". After a while, a small pot with kelp-infused water was set up on the table, and it was time to start shabu-shabu! By the way, vegetables (mushrooms, tofu, etc.), udon, rice, dessert, and drinks are all-you-can-eat, so I indulged in three plates of vegetables, a bowl of miso soup, detox water, etc. The sauce was ponzu and sesame. Sesame goes well with pork, and ponzu goes well with beef. There were plenty of condiments, such as finely chopped green onions and grated radish, which added accents to the meal. And for the final treat, I poured my preferred amount of ponzu and salt and pepper into the soup from the pot and finished the meal. If I wasn't on a low-carb diet, I would have loved to have udon. However, with plenty of vegetables and soup, my stomach was full and my body felt warm.
3. Staff service:
The staff's basic greetings and seating guidance were fine, and their service was brisk. They also promptly replenished the vegetables and drinks. There were no particular issues that caught my attention.
4. Cost performance:
The quality of the meat matches the price, but having all-you-can-eat vegetables and more for 1,150 yen is a great deal. The convenient location also adds to the good cost performance.
5. Other points:
By the way, the miso soup made by the machine that automatically dispenses it was not tasty at all. I tried a sip but couldn't drink it. I had to leave it, I'm sorry.
