・We had potato salad and pickled vegetables as appetizers, cucumber pickles, two servings of beef hot pot for one person (1850 yen each), cherry blossom hot pot with horse meat (1850 yen), two servings of rice (350 yen each), udon noodles (600 yen), a bottle of Kirin Ichiban Shibori beer (700 yen), and oolong tea (300 yen). ・We finished with two people, spending about 9,800 yen (about 4,900 yen per person). [Recommended Points] 1. The beef sukiyaki is delicious and only 1850 yen! Such a great price. 2. The cherry blossom hot pot is also delicious. 3. The staff are very kind and friendly. ・Located just a 1-minute walk from Ningyocho Station, "Yamato" is a hidden gem just off the main street. ・When it comes to sukiyaki in Ningyocho, Imahan is famous but has a reputation for being quite expensive, making it intimidating to enter. ・That's when we stumbled upon "Yamato." Seeing the sign outside advertising the beef hot pot for 1850 yen per person, we decided to give it a try. ・Inside, there are spacious tatami seating areas, and the staff greeted us with a smile. They even took into consideration the seating arrangement based on the nearby party reservations. The moment we sat down, we knew the food was going to be delicious. ・We started with the appetizers and cucumber pickles, enjoying them with beer. The pickles were rich in flavor and addictive. Pairing them with sukiyaki, rice, and then using them as a chaser was the best way to enjoy them. ・The beef in the hot pot was incredibly tender. The sweet broth paired perfectly with the meat, creating a delicious sukiyaki. Even if you think it's been simmered too long, the meat remains tender. The vegetables quickly absorbed the flavors of the broth, making it a delightful dish. ・After finishing two servings of beef hot pot, we tried the cherry blossom hot pot. We added the special miso to the broth, then cooked the meat and vegetables. It was delicious. The taste of horse meat was different from beef but equally satisfying. The texture of the meat was firm but not tough, with a rich umami flavor that intensified with each bite. ・Personally, I felt that beef paired better with rice, while horse meat went well with alcohol. But regardless, both were delicious, so there's no need to worry. ・We finished with udon noodles, which we quickly devoured thanks to the delicious broth. ・Considering the quality, the price of 1850 yen per person is incredibly affordable. We felt like we were indulging in a luxurious meal, yet the cost was surprisingly budget-friendly. They even served us complimentary iced coffee. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be returning.
