I have a meeting in the afternoon, so I need to finish my meal quickly. Today's grilled fish is silver salmon, which I ordered along with nikujaga (meat and potato stew). This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I ordered a large serving this time because last time I ended up wanting more rice during the meeting. I had silver salmon for breakfast at home this morning, so I can compare it to the one from this restaurant. The fish here is plump, thick, and has just the right amount of salt. It's even better than the ones from the department store basement. They fillet and season it at the restaurant. The nikujaga is not too sweet, which I appreciate. Maybe they are considerate of the health of middle-aged and elderly customers? I entered at 11:42 and left at 11:57, so I saved some time. They will start getting more customers from 12:00, so it must be helpful for the restaurant too. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious food.

I was drawn in by the lunch signboard and visited this restaurant for the first time. They had keema curry and such, but since it's a Japanese restaurant, I ordered two types of sashimi (amberjack and medium-fatty tuna) and grilled fish (today's was striped mackerel). Besides the head chef, there were four male and female staff members. There are only 4 counter seats and 8 box seats, but more and more people were being drawn upstairs. It seems like they can seat over 20 people there. I was imagining medium-fatty tuna when it came to the medium-fatty tuna, but it was actually a mixture of various fish scraps seasoned with wasabi soy sauce. Wow, it's so delicious with different kinds of fish mixed in. I later found out that it was something they served as a staff meal and received good feedback, so they added it to the menu. The striped mackerel was perfect in terms of saltiness, grilling, and fat content. The rice was really good quality. Oh no, one bowl is not enough... The miso soup with tofu and seaweed was flawless. It was my first visit, but I might ask for a rice refill for the first time. There's still half of the side dishes left, so I'll order more. The rice is generously portioned. This is how a proper restaurant should be, right? I don't want to go to places that just serve you food without care. The simmered bean sprouts were also delicious. The striped mackerel was so tasty that I even ate the skin. I didn't just finish my meal, I super finished it. I ended up eating like a cat. And all of this for only 1200 yen... The cost performance is amazing. I'll definitely come back for dinner at this place. I want to become a regular here. Thank you for the meal. I am satisfied.

The restaurant is located in a nearby area but is tucked away in a charming alley that I had never entered before. The menu is not pretentious, but you can feel the attention to detail. The photo shows the complimentary shellfish and assorted sashimi. The bluefin tuna is delicious. The variety of highball choices gives a sense of sophistication.

I used the corner of Higashi Nihonbashi for lunch. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are not cheap, but they lack a sense of luxury. However, the head chef is a skilled cook, which gives the entire restaurant a sense of cohesion. The food was well-prepared and delicious. It wasn't an instant burst of deliciousness when I took a bite, but the seasoning and garnishes were appropriate, resulting in flawless deliciousness.

During lunchtime, you can choose from 8 different options for 1200 yen, such as sashimi, grilled fish, chicken karaage, cream croquette, curry, etc. On this day, I chose grilled fish and karaage, and it was a very satisfying lunch with generous portions!

Today's third meal was at "Kadowaki" in Higashi-Nihonbashi. The situation reminded me of the actress Maki Kadowaki and the drama "Kiss that Kills." I enjoyed a delicious grilled fish set meal earlier. After searching for other places to eat, I finally found this place with a view of the Skytree. The atmosphere inside was calm and I was guided to the second floor. I ordered a menu where you can choose two items from eight options, all for under 1200 yen. I had a sashimi platter with two types of white fish, which was delicious, and a pork shabu-shabu salad with salt dressing. The rice was free for refills, and when I needed more, I rang the bell until the staff noticed. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I wanted to eat delicious Japanese food for lunch, so I visited this restaurant. I chose two side dishes from the menu: Mekabaru kasuzuke (mackerel marinated in sake lees) and a sashimi combo of hiramasa and marlin. The rice was delicious, and even though I initially declined the extra portion, I ended up getting one. Both the Mekabaru kasuzuke and the sashimi were delicious, showcasing the chef's skill. The lunch was a bit pricey at 1200 yen, but I felt it was worth it.

There is a system where you can choose 2 items from various options to order. This time, I ordered the daily grilled fish (sea bream with miso marinade) and homemade crab cream croquette with dessert for 1,100 yen. It took 10 minutes to come out. The grilled fish and croquette were both delicious, but the croquette was not freshly fried, so it was lukewarm. They also offer sashimi and fried chicken, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes. The chopsticks at Chokusou were easy to use, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

Sashimi, grilled fish, fried chicken, croquettes, etc. You can choose 2 types of delicious lunch items. I chose the daily sashimi combo with 2 types of sashimi and Hokke from Hokkaido. The rice portion can be made large, but the photo shows a regular portion. The Hokke is very filling! The miso soup warms you up. Thank you for the meal.

While wandering around, I stumbled upon a shop with a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. I couldn't decide on which sashimi to order, but then the staff offered to bring a variety of sashimi for one person, including sea urchin and botan shrimp. It was a luxurious assortment with various flavors and beautiful presentation. It really enhanced the taste of the sake I was enjoying. They even brought out the liver of the Bai shell as a complimentary dish. The service was not overly attentive, but still very thoughtful. I heard they also serve lunch and have many other delicious items on their menu. I would love to come back again sometime.

Kadowaki in Higashi-Nihonbashi is a restaurant that looks like a traditional Japanese izakaya with a wide variety of lunch options. For lunch, you can choose two dishes along with rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish. I chose "Spicy Simmered Beef Tendon" and "Crab Cream Croquette" from the eight options available. It's interesting to choose Korean and Western-style dishes at a Japanese restaurant. The dishes made by the chef are always delicious. The "Spicy Simmered Beef Tendon" is tender and flavorful, with a spicy soup that warms you up on a cold day. The "Crab Cream Croquette" is a classic dish with hot white cream that tastes amazing. Eating white rice with crab cream croquette is a great combination. I look forward to coming back for drinks at night next time. The fish dishes also look great, so I'm excited for that.

In November 2018, for dinner, I visited a restaurant called "Higashi Nihonbashi Kadowaki" located in Higashi Nihonbashi. This restaurant was featured on a TV show called "Yuyake Sakaba" on BS-TBS on November 17, 2018. I arrived at the restaurant after a group of customers had left and sat at the counter. I enjoyed two glasses of lemon sour for 430 yen each. The dishes I tried that day were: 1) Appetizer - boiled bay clams for 360 yen. The liver part of the clam broke when I tried to pull it out with a toothpick, but the staff kindly brought me a new one. 2) Octopus and watercress with sesame salt dressing for 850 yen. It was a refreshing vegetable dish. 3) Spicy simmered beef tendon for 500 yen. It was a spicy and flavorful dish, inspired by Korean cuisine. 4) Steamed clam rice for 600 yen. A unique dish with clam broth flavor. 5) Crab cream croquettes - 2 pieces for 620 yen. Delicious and crispy croquettes with plenty of crab meat. 6) Tea-pickled white fish rice bowl for 850 yen. A satisfying end to the meal. The total bill was a little over 5,000 yen. The restaurant had a cozy and friendly atmosphere, with thoughtful service from the owners.

I found this restaurant while looking for a lunch spot. I was happy that I could choose my favorite dishes. The crab cream croquette was delicious. I will definitely go back if I have the chance.
