A casual tempura skewer restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station A3 exit. I was in charge of organizing a year-end party for 6 people, and after considering the opinions of the members and the reservation status, we ultimately decided on this restaurant. We reserved the full course menu with 2 hours of all-you-can-drink (13 dishes: 8800 yen) + 1 hour extension of all-you-can-drink (1100 yen), which was super luxurious. When we visited just before our reservation time at 6 pm, we were seated at a long table across from the kitchen. The location of the restaurant is a bit hard to find in a narrow alley (look for many people smoking near the entrance), so I recommend bringing an enlarged map. Moving on, the course menu included appetizers (2 daily side dishes), raw yam, seasonal fruit and cashew nut mascarpone cheese, raw yuba sashimi, seasonal vegetable ohitashi, premium nori-wrapped rolled omelette, 1st skewer: seasonal special tempura, 2nd skewer: famous tempura skewer [vegetable meat roll skewer], 3rd skewer: famous tempura skewer [vegetable fish roll skewer], A5 Awagyu seared sukiyaki rice, daily soup, Yamamoto family's famous pudding, and so on. We started with a toast with sparkling wine for everyone, and then each person ordered their favorite drink from the all-you-can-drink menu. Among the sake options in the all-you-can-drink menu, there was AKABU from Iwate, which delighted the sake lovers in our group, and they quickly finished it all. The staff kindly gave us Saga's Nabeshima as a replacement, which we were truly grateful for (I, a non-drinker, only took a sip). Regarding the course dishes, all the dishes were delicious, as expected for the price of 8800 yen, but my favorite was the A5 Awagyu seared sukiyaki rice. It was a dish where beef with beautiful marbling was seared on top of rice with a burner, and then topped with a sauce containing egg yolk. I think I was too drunk to fully appreciate it, but the taste was undeniably amazing. The main tempura skewers were lotus root and shiso pork belly roll, mackerel and tomato cheese topping, and cod milt seaweed roll. The combinations were unusual for me, so it was fun to eat. Personally, I wished I could have savored the tempura skewers more, so it would be great if there were courses where you could fully enjoy the main tempura skewers.
