I used to frequent Manten Sakaba in Higashi-Nakano. This time, on a Friday around 8 pm, we went to Nishi-Kasai with 3 people. The staff seemed busy even though there were fewer of them. The skewers range from around 100 yen each, appetizers from around 200 yen, and drinks from around 300 yen. You can enjoy a wide variety of food menu items at this price range. They have oden in winter, but understandably it was not available in April.

I visited an izakaya near Nishi-Ogikubo Station for lunch. I ordered the daily lunch special for 550 yen, which was apparently oil-drizzled chicken. It was ready in about 3 minutes - oil-drizzled chicken with cabbage, mayonnaise, rice, miso soup, pickles, and thick-fried chicken mince with tofu. The dish was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a delicious ginger flavor. For 550 yen, it was a great deal with the main dish, rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish. The state of emergency had been lifted (at the time of my visit), allowing limited alcohol consumption, and there were a few people drinking during the day, but I refrained. However, the BGM in the restaurant was playing Junichi Inoue's "Memory Glass"... it made me feel like having a drink.

I met up with a friend from Kansai who is staying in Tokyo for work, and we had dinner together at a restaurant near my friend's hotel. The recommended yakitori was only 98 yen per skewer, making it a very cost-effective option. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Manten Sakaba ☆ Nishikasai. I came to this restaurant for a second round of a year-end party. (^o^) It's a cheap place, but the food didn't quite live up to the cost performance. The yakitori was disappointing and the simmered dish was lacking. I couldn't comment on the sashimi as I don't eat it. The drinks could also use some improvement. It's a case of you get what you pay for, I guess...

This is a izakaya located at the south exit of Nishi-Kasai on the Tozai Line of Tokyo Metro. It is relatively new and I was invited by my family to go there. It is located on the second floor of a building across from Matsumoto Kiyoshi and Gold's Gym. About half of the seats were taken on a Saturday night. All the menu items are reasonably priced. The only downside was that the food took a while to arrive. The taste was okay.

I entered the restaurant around 9 pm on Friday. The interior had counter seats, table seats, and tatami seats, and could accommodate about 60 people. The food was very cheap, with one skewer costing 97 yen. The drinks were also cost-effective, with a 1-liter draft beer costing 600 yen. The dishes were all delicious. The variety of food options, including ramen, grilled skewers, and teppanyaki, was a great point. I recommend this place to those who want to drink cheaply around Nishi-Kasai.

The number of menu items on the first visit was large, and all of them were cheap and delicious! (Of course, the portion size was small compared to the price). The staff at the restaurant were lively and it was nice. Thank you very much! It was a feast!
