Arrived at 18:30 on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Pizza Hyakumeiten 2021 selected with an overall rating of 3.73, ranked 30th in the area. I had made a reservation for 19:00 three days in advance, but upon asking, I was able to enter a little earlier. It is worth noting that reservations are limited to 10 groups per day for dinner and 10 groups per day on weekdays for lunch, as stated on the website. The evening atmosphere on the high floors of Lucua was fantastic! I was seated at a window-side table for two with a great view. Outside the window, the red Ferris wheel on the rooftop of HEP FIVE was spinning brightly. Other window-side tables had reservation signs, and before 19:00, more and more reserved customers arrived. Despite being ranked 30th in the area, I had high expectations as I had experienced amazing pizza at the top-ranked pizzeria in Western Japan. I ordered the following items: Appetizer - Fresh Fish Marinade 900 yen, Tripe Tomato Stew 1,100 yen, Margherita Pizza S 1,050 yen, Quattro Formaggi Pizza S 1,470 yen, Prosciutto e Rucola Pizza S 1,540 yen, and 2 drinks of B.B.B 660 yen each. The marinade was made with yellowtail this time, and I was amazed by the technique used to bring out the flavors, similar to salmon marinade. The tomato stew with tripe was delicious, and I was impressed by how they prepared the honeycomb tripe in this way. The main event, the pizza, was finally here! First up was the Margherita pizza! While the Margherita is a familiar Neapolitan pizza, this was my first time trying the Margherita, and it was amazing! It was even better than the Margherita, with a simple composition but incredibly delicious with the combination of tomato sauce and garlic. The crust was delicious, which is essential for a great pizza. Next was the Quattro Formaggi pizza with plenty of four cheeses. It was delicious on its own, and even better with honey drizzled on top. Lastly, the Prosciutto e Rucola pizza, topped with salad greens and prosciutto on a baked pizza. While the concept of mixing pizza and salad was interesting, it slightly diminished the true deliciousness of the pizza. The prosciutto and salad greens might be better enjoyed separately. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was excellent. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.
