Around 11:55 am on a weekday, I saw a lunch sign outside and decided to dine alone because it was affordable and I could pay with PayPay. I was seated at the counter in a cool and nice atmosphere izakaya. I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken set meal (750 yen) with less rice. At first, there were few customers, but more and more people came in, and in about 10 minutes, it was almost full. I waited for about 15 minutes for the food to arrive as there were only two staff members, so the waiting time was a bit long. If you come, this time of day might be good. The meat was quite voluminous and had a nice crispy texture, tasting like it was carefully prepared. This place offers great value for money. It's the type of place I like. It seems like it would be good for dinner too. It's also a place where dining alone in the evening is totally fine! I will definitely come back.

Located near Kajiwara tram stop, this izakaya is situated in a small shopping street. They have a yakitori corner at the storefront, and during the state of emergency, they offered takeout options like karaage and yakitori, but currently, takeout services are on hold, focusing on in-house dining instead. There is a counter, making it easy for solo diners to enter. Actor Muro Tsuyoshi's autograph was displayed. During my visit, a young and taciturn "aniki" (older brother) managed the place alone. The menu is extensive, and I started with two recommended dishes. The tuna appeared a bit watery but surprisingly fresh. However, it lacked the expected impact for its price. The skewers set stood out for its value. A total of 10 skewers arrived at once, causing the latter ones to cool down, which was a bit disappointing. The secret sauce, aged for 30 years, was rich and seemed to complement the drinks well. I look forward to revisiting with more people to try a variety of dishes and truly assess this restaurant's worth.

During lunchtime, there were three daily specials along with other lunch menu options which included salad and small side dishes. All set meals came with rice and miso soup at a reasonable price. The lunch at this izakaya had a good variety and was overall satisfying with few disappointments.

Introducing a yakitori restaurant that opened near the Toden Kajiwara Station last year (2017). I visited on a Friday night around 8 pm. There was one other group of customers. The restaurant has a long counter seat, a few table seats, as well as raised seating and private rooms, making it quite spacious and relaxing. They sell Christmas leg chicken outside. While they have games like darts inside, the atmosphere is calm and cozy. The staff, two young men, are polite and attentive. The menu offers a variety of dishes including yakitori, salads, grilled fish, and more. I opted for the yakitori set of 5 skewers for 630 yen, with an option to add a salt set for 150 yen with flavors like garlic, basil, curry, and matcha. The yakitori skewers included chicken breast, bonjiri (tail meat), liver, skin, and wings. The liver was particularly delicious and melted in the mouth. Among the salt flavors, basil stood out to me. The crispy fried natto and tofu for 380 yen was unique and tasty. I also tried the Aomori Shamo chicken, which is a bit pricey but worth it. The heart skewer was average, but the wings were delicious. The chu-hi drink was quite good too. Although I didn't try it that day, their customizable hot pot is a unique option where you can choose your own soup and ingredients. It seems like a fun experience for a group.
