Lunch before a business trip. Grilled saury, flounder fin, red clam nigiri, assorted sashimi, medium fatty tuna gunkan, squid, and kelp gunkan for about 2,000 yen. I wanted to drink beer... I stayed for one night and before heading back, I had lunch at a standing sushi restaurant in Tokyo Station with my aunt and mother. It may be a bit pricey compared to Kansai, but the sushi was all fresh. I was able to enjoy my favorite engawa sushi and the uni was incredibly delicious. The gizzard shad was also tasty. I tried not to eat too much because the bill was getting high, but it was a treat. Eating delicious food really lifts your spirits. I found out there is a branch in Osaka too, so I might go there for lunch next time. I was able to buy souvenirs and was planning to head back to the countryside on the Shinkansen, but I realized I was quite hungry so I decided to stop by a standing sushi bar. I usually only go to places like Sushiro, so I felt a bit nervous as the sushi came out one by one. Delicious sushi is something I can eat endlessly, but I gracefully enjoyed just 10 pieces before leaving the restaurant. Today's recommended spear squid was incredibly delicious. It had a high freshness and the texture was amazing. Thank you for the meal.

I thought I had to order directly from the chef behind the counter, but it was actually done through a tablet. The sushi was fresh and quite good. The price was reasonable. The chef was a young woman who was attentive. There is a smartphone app with a QR code for downloading, which gives you 200 points (equivalent to 200 yen) as a first-time service. I paid 1340 yen for an 8-piece set. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I had rotating sushi. I indulged in fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, and lean tuna. The fat content was on the lighter side. The popular trio of salmon, sweet shrimp, and flounder were rotating around. The basics included tea cups, small plates, wasabi, salt, etc. When you order, the items arrive on a separate lane. This way, there is less waste and cost reduction. I hope all rotating sushi places implement this.

I visited around 12:00 on a regular day, the restaurant was busy but there was no line. Ordering sushi from a touch panel and getting it quickly was great, even when short on time. The "fresh surf clam" was my favorite this time.

It's a standing sushi bar, but it's nice that they hand you the sushi. The taste is good and they have a lot of unique toppings (even though many were sold out in the evening). The orders come out quickly once you place them. Even if you go with two people, you order individually using a touch panel. You can also order water and tea using the touch panel. You can choose to have wasabi or not, and normal or less rice using the touch panel, but if you ask for less wasabi, they will accommodate (which was amazing for me). That's the kind of place it was! [Ordered Items] - Squid (delicious as usual) - Scallop (very thick and sweet) - Salmon (the best food for women! A must-have!!) - Striped jack (I usually don't eat oily fish, but it looked delicious so I ordered it and it was incredibly tasty) Satisfied, we boarded the bullet train. Thank you for the meal! Although, the bottled beer was a bit expensive.

The sushi toppings are fresh and delicious, although the rice portion seems to have decreased. As a man, I found it a bit lacking. I visited the standing sushi bar Hanataro at Tokyo Station Ichibangai. It was a weekday evening, and they were only operating at half capacity with two sushi chefs behind the counter. You order using a touch screen at this standing sushi bar. I had the following: squid, marinated cod roe, medium fatty tuna, battleship sushi with surf clam, scallop, and tendon nigiri. Initially, there were only two customers, but it eventually became five, filling up half of the counter. Despite the increase in customers, my medium fatty tuna battleship sushi never arrived. It turns out, they forgot to make it even though I ordered it on the touch screen. It was a disappointing experience.

The Hokkaido scallops, sea urchin, and salmon roe were excellent! Well, the sea urchin was 880 yen per piece. If it wasn't delicious, Abarenbou-kun would be upset. It's better than conveyor belt sushi, but maybe a bit pricey because it's Tokyo Station. Thank you for the meal☆

There was already a line of customers inside, with a wait for 2 groups. To get in on the first round, you need to line up around 10:30. However, since it is standing sushi, the turnover is fast. I waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. Orders are placed using a touch panel. I ordered various items such as fresh herring, Pacific saury, scallop, homemade mackerel, shrimp, scallop, steamed clam sushi, etc. All the items were fresh and delicious, and I was satisfied. One thing to note is that sometimes there may be a slight delay in orders, depending on the skill of the sushi chef and the amount ordered by other customers. Also, for those who frequently use the Tokaido Shinkansen and have an EX Reservation-Only IC card or Express card, there is a 10% discount on the bill.

Overall, I think the quality of the dishes and the prices are not bad. Especially, the Ema porch is quite well done for a consistent price of 150 yen... I thought. However, I can't help but wonder about serving completely unrelated items together, especially those with different characteristics, like in the photo. It's good, but that aspect is questionable. I had plans to go out over the weekend and decided to stop by Tokyo Station after work for some shopping. I wanted to have ramen for dinner, so I headed to Tokyo Ramen Street, but the line at the restaurant I wanted to try was too long. On my way back to the station, I noticed another sushi restaurant that I had heard of but never paid much attention to. Since it was hot that day, I decided to stop by for a quick drink. The restaurant was a standing sushi bar, and I was directed to a counter near the entrance by the staff. I ordered a bottle of beer and started with some sushi - sea bream, amberjack, and fatty tuna. The sushi was decent, with the rice being on the smaller side and the fish being of good quality. While waiting for my order, I noticed that there were quite a few solo female customers in the restaurant, which was unexpected for a standing sushi bar. I added some white fish and seared fish to my order, and after enjoying my sushi and beer, the bill came out to be over 3,000 yen for 9 pieces of sushi and a bottle of beer. Overall, it was a decent place to have a quick drink and some sushi, although the prices were a bit on the higher side, possibly due to the location. It was a nice way to end my day with a casual drink and some good sushi.

There are two sushi restaurants at Tokyo Station. I have used the conveyor belt sushi restaurant before. This is my first visit to the standing sushi restaurant. I was lucky to enter without waiting in line. You can order using a touch panel. There were two sushi chefs who made the sushi. The orders don't all come out at once, so it's not very photogenic. The sushi was delicious. I think it's a good place for a quick meal. Sushi might taste better when eaten sitting down.

Even though I was in a period where I couldn't eat rice and had no appetite, the vinegared rice and the freshness of the sushi easily went down my stomach. The fresh ingredients at this price point in Tokyo Station are a great cost-performance deal! Shrimp, yellowtail, etc. are all 154 yen each?!
