The food is delicious, so I have visited several times. I like liver, so I often order liver dishes. Also, the cost performance is good, so I end up ordering various dishes. The restaurant is small, so non-smokers have to be prepared for the smell of cigarettes. The noodles in dishes like Napolitan and yakisoba come out in chunks of about 3 cm, almost raw. It's spicy, the smell is strong, and you have to eat it while suffering.

Zasshoku has seen many shops close down after the Keikyu Line was elevated and redevelopment along the line progressed. Some resilient shops have opened in new buildings using their rights. I discovered these unique named shops through Google Maps. While searching for shops in Zasshoku, I found a place where you could read reviews by tapping on it. One review mentioned that you could enjoy cheap and delicious motsu-yaki. Intrigued, I decided to check it out during a daytime shopping trip to Kawasaki. I couldn't remember what used to be here before, but I felt like visiting. I had planned to end my day with a drink in Kita-Kamata or JR Kamata after having beer in Ebisu earlier, but I remembered Zasshoku and decided to stop by. The narrow interior was almost full, but I managed to find a seat at the counter. The atmosphere was like an American bar, with a variety of whiskey and bourbon bottles lined up on the counter. The neon sign glowed pink and white, adding a stylish touch. The menu, displayed in colorful pouches with prices around 400 yen, caught my eye. I ordered motsu-yaki and was impressed to see yellow mustard served with it. The liver was firm and juicy, the white meat was tender, and the tripe was decent. The thin sauce was a signature of the shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the black hoppy set which was also affordable. I enjoyed drinking hoppy from a slim metal cup, similar to a highball. The motsu skewers were a great deal at 100 yen each. I ordered liver, white meat, and tripe as they were out of cartilage. The liver was juicy and delicious, the white meat was tender, and the tripe was decent. I then ordered the iron plate liver for 400 yen, which was small but cooked in garlic and butter, and it was exquisite. I couldn't stop eating with my hoppy. With the recent motsu-yaki boom, many chain restaurants have been popping up, but I hope this shop continues to prioritize freshness and quality. It's a great place for young people to discover the deliciousness of motsu-yaki.

Guided by a local colleague, I was taken to BUBU. Walking down a side street off the bustling shopping street, we arrived at a short alley with a wooden door at the end, painted in a deep red color with the word "YAKITON" in white letters on the glass. As we entered through the western-style door, we found ourselves in a small American-style bar with only the master behind the counter. The atmosphere was quiet, with only a few customers scattered around. We ordered Asahi beer in a waist-tight glass and toasted. The grilled pork and raw liver were delicious, and we also tried the recommended shochu called Kageta. The shochu had a gentle taste with a fruity aroma, served over ice. We also enjoyed skewers with Hoppy and a simple cheese dish. The atmosphere was cozy, and we noticed a young woman entering the bar. She greeted us warmly, and we ordered some more food and a bottle of sake called Kaito. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed the unique experience of dining in this small, charming bar.

The shop is not very spacious, but it has a cozy and friendly atmosphere where customers easily engage in conversations. The skewers are delicious and only cost 100 yen each. My favorite is the spam skewer, with just the right amount of salt that pairs perfectly with the fatty spam and alcohol. I enjoyed a refreshing cassis jasmine cocktail, even though it's not on the menu. This is a great place for a night out, although not suitable for children. I can't visit often, but it's a special spot for occasional night outings.
