Today, I had lunch at Matsuya near the intersection in Nagashima Town (838th restaurant in the Kasai area). Matsuya, which opened a few months ago, is unique in that it shares a space with Maikari Shokudo. I have already tried Maikari Shokudo, so today I decided to try Matsuya. They always seem to offer some kind of special menu, and right now they are serving oyakodon. The description says, "A national favorite dish, oyakodon, made with chunks of chicken thigh meat and fluffy egg! It also comes with a raw egg topping for a rich flavor!" So, what did I think? I ordered the regular size for 500 yen using the touch panel. When the oyakodon arrived, the egg was hard, haha. What's with the "raw egg topping"?? What does "fluffy" mean? The taste wasn't bad, but Matsuya is definitely more known for its gyudon (beef bowl) than its oyakodon.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Katsushika Station, Matsuya has a dining area with a My Curry restaurant attached. Until August 9th, they are holding a One Coin Fair, where items on sale can be purchased for 500 yen. I opted for a takeout order of the Pork Cutlet Curry in medium spiciness for 500 yen. Orders are placed using a touch panel, and payment is made using a different touch panel from the one used for ordering.
