I used it for lunch. I ordered the rice set of soupless tantanmen. The price was only 650 yen, so cheap!! That's the first impression I had. When you go to a ramen shop, it usually costs around 900 yen for ramen and rice. The soupless tantanmen comes with options for choosing the noodle size, and the levels of "spiciness" and "numbing sensation." It was my first time trying it, so I chose the mildest level. At this point, I was wondering what "numbing sensation" was. Then the tantanmen arrived. There was too much chopped green onion that I couldn't see the noodles, and it also had a soft-boiled egg and minced meat on top. There was a note saying to mix it more than 10 times. I mixed it all together. Personally, I get very excited when there's a lot of green onion. When I took a bite, I was surprised by the taste I was trying for the first time. The "numbing sensation" turned out to be "Sichuan pepper"!! Although I chose the lowest level of spiciness and numbing sensation, the impact of the Sichuan pepper was so strong that I could hardly feel the spiciness. I wonder why... maybe it's because of the elegant taste of the Sichuan pepper. The soft-boiled egg helped to balance the spiciness of the dish. My impression is that it's delicious. However, the strong impact of the Sichuan pepper in the ramen (tantanmen) was more surprising than delicious. It's not heavy like tonkotsu ramen that's popular these days, so it may be well-received by women. It's a bit of a shame that there are only male customers. Personally, as I started to lose the taste due to the numbing sensation towards the end, I would like to try "numbing sensation 0" next time and enjoy the subtle aroma of Sichuan pepper using the Sichuan pepper on the table. Yeah, it's interesting.

Service Set Meal (Spicy Tantanmen with Soft-boiled Egg and a Bite of Rice) for 750 yen. A Hiroshima classic gourmet dish, soup-less Tantanmen. It's not common in Osaka, so I was happy to find it 😊 I chose level 3 spiciness and level 3 numbness, and it was just right - spicy and numbing. I realized later that the extra serving is free ☹️

I discovered the Hiroshima-style soupless tantanmen at a gourmet restaurant and decided to find a place to try it in Osaka. I visited just before 1 p.m. on a holiday and there was no wait. I ordered the beer set, which was a great deal. The beer was served in a proper-sized glass, not a small one. The fried chicken in the set was not the crispy type, but rather coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. As for the noodles, I ordered the spicy level 1 and numbing level 2. In conclusion, it was a good choice. Personally, I would have preferred it a bit spicier, but it was a tasty dish to enjoy on a hot day while sweating.

On Saturday around 6 pm, there were 2-3 customers already at the restaurant. They offer a great value for money and you can adjust the spiciness and numbness to your liking. I tried the "Tired Special Set" for 1250 yen, which includes level 4 spicy, level 2 numbness, beer, fried chicken, and various toppings. The staff mentioned that up to level 3 spiciness is manageable, but if you like spicy food, level 4 is also okay, and maybe even level 5. However, even at level 2 numbness, it's quite noticeable, and I think it might become difficult to keep eating. The dan dan noodles here are simple, so if you prefer something more elaborate, this might not be the best choice.

Service set meal with thick noodles in large portion, spicy level 3, numbing level 2. Today, I went to the hospital in Tenroku, so I decided to have lunch in Tenroku. I noticed that today is double stamp day for 8th at Ayayagi, so I decided to go there for the first time in a while. It was delicious as always. I will make sure to go on days with an 8 from now on.

Special Tan Tan noodles without soup for 900 yen. I ordered the large portion! As a first-timer, I chose spice level 1 and numbness level 1. I'm not particularly good with spicy food, but the spice level was not too strong, and the numbness was a bit lacking. Next time, I might try spice level 3 and numbness level 2. It was delicious, so I will definitely come back again!

I was busy with work so I quickly slurped it up! The thick sweet and salty soy sauce with a hint of sansho pepper gave it a taste similar to unagi. I didn't choose any toppings, so I want to come back for more. It's a good value for 600 yen.

They are open for business from noon until night, so you can go anytime! You can choose the level of spiciness and numbness, and it gradually becomes addictive as the spiciness and numbness increase. It seems like the level of spiciness and numbness may vary slightly depending on the staff.

Today, I had the usual service menu of rice with soft-boiled egg at the restaurant. I ordered a large serving with a spiciness level of 3 and numbness level of 2. This ratio is recommended by the owner, and I found it to be incredibly delicious today. I adjusted the flavor with the soft-boiled egg halfway through. The price remains at 750 yen, which is amazing considering the quality. I wonder if they have raised prices elsewhere to balance it out. Thank you for the meal.

Recommended by Tomo-P, this soupless tantanmen with cha-shu topping is a must-try. The simple yet flavorful dish is topped with minced meat, peanuts, and green onions, giving off a "Simple is best" vibe. I ordered it with a spice level of 2 and numbness level of 1, and even at that level, it packed quite a punch! I'm glad I didn't go for level 3. The numbness might become addictive! The thin noodles are chewy, and the diced cha-shu has just the right amount of meaty texture without being too fatty. I couldn't resist and ended up ordering an extra serving of rice (100 yen) - the ratio of minced meat to rice is 1:10, and it tastes amazing! The rice brings out the nutty texture even more than the noodles. Definitely recommend ordering the set from the start if you know you'll want rice eventually! After I entered, the previously empty restaurant suddenly filled up. Perfect timing! There's a student set for 600 yen that includes tantanmen and rice, offering good value for a satisfying meal. This place is also great for a second stop to finish off the night!

I went to a soupless tantanmen specialty restaurant called "Ageage Osaka Tenroku Honten" near Tenjinbashi Rokuchome Station in Osaka, and tried the original Hiroshima-style soupless tantanmen. When I entered the restaurant, it was a small ramen shop with a counter for 10 seats and two 2-seater tables. I ordered the original soupless tantanmen for 600 yen (tax included) with no spiciness and no numbing sensation. The dish arrived in about 4 minutes. Since I don't like spicy food, I was relieved to see that it didn't look spicy at all. It was incredibly delicious! The rich and sweet flavor of the meat miso was perfectly balanced, and the addition of plenty of nuts added a rich and mellow taste. I couldn't stop eating it once I started. It's definitely my type of dish! Highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

The specialty is the soup-less tantanmen. The spiciness level is 1-1, so be careful when ordering if you're not good with spicy food. The onsen egg can help balance out the spiciness, so it's great for when it's too spicy or for a change in taste. I ordered a set meal, which came with fried chicken and rice, but the fried chicken had a strange seasoning that overwhelmed the rice (laughs). Definitely a place I'd want to visit again. The only downside is that the seating is a bit tight.

After celebrating the grand opening of a certain bar, I felt a bit hungry on the way back, so I stopped by here (laughs). I bought a meal ticket at the ticket machine and found an available seat! I ordered the original soupless tantanmen with 1 level of spiciness, 1 level of numbing from sansho pepper, and extra noodles for free. The total came to 600 yen for the tantanmen, plus 200 yen for extra chashu, and 100 yen for a boiled egg. The deliciousness of the dish made me ecstatic. The warm noodles mixed with the sauce were delicious, and the boiled egg did a great job. Thank you for the meal. Address: 6-7-24 Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka City. Phone: 06-6358-9700. There is a shop in Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. Inside the shop, there are counter seats and a couple of tables in the back. This time, I came for the soup-less tantanmen. You can choose the level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers and the numbing spiciness of Sichuan pepper were addictive. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After returning from a hidden bar in Tenroku, I stopped by for a light meal. I bought a ticket for the original soup-less tantanmen for 600 yen and added char siu for 200 yen. I ordered it with one level of spiciness and one level of numbing from Sichuan pepper. The taste was so delicious that I couldn't help but be amazed. Thank you for the meal! Mara noodles Yang Yang Osaka Tenroku Honten [Tenjinbashi 6-chome, Kita-ku, Osaka City] While in Tenroku, I visited another soup-less tantanmen shop. The system is to purchase a food ticket first at the vending machine. Soup-less tantanmen with warm egg for 700 yen (spiciness: 1, numbness: 1). You can specify the level of spiciness and numbness, but I chose both as "1" for a safe option. Since it was my second stop, I skipped the small rice topping. Toppings can be endless if you get greedy. The price remains the same even if you upgrade to a large portion of noodles. The "numbness" gives a sensation like an electric shock, which was quite refreshing. The flavor is relatively mild and easy to eat. It would be great to have a place like this nearby. They have counter seats and table seats, and operate on a prepayment system. It's a calm and easy place for solo diners to enjoy. [Business hours] 11:00-22:30 (last order at 22:00) [Closed] Irregular holidays [Parking] None

"I ordered the 'Tsukemen without soup' (600 yen) and a single 'draft beer' (450 yen). I handed over my food ticket at the counter. Then I noticed the 'Otsukare Set' - Tsukemen, draft beer, and fried chicken for 1000 yen. Wait, what? That pricing is way better. I felt a sudden drop in my excitement. I couldn't fully enjoy the taste. The dish was supposed to be delicious with a good level of spiciness and numbness. Next time, I'll go for the set. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal."

It's been a while. Maybe about half a year. The spiciness and numbing sensation ratio is 4:3. The unchanged deliciousness made me emotional. But it seems like the noodles were a bit different? (I didn't notice though) The no soup tantanmen here is the best!
*Visited on a weekday after 1 pm, no waiting time, no line. Payment method: cash. Thank you for the meal!

Dried tantanmen with soft-boiled egg - ¥700
I'm a big fan of mixed noodles and soup-less ramen, so I was really excited to try it. The rule is to mix it as soon as it arrives. I wish I had asked for it to be spicier and more numbing. Thank you for the meal.

I casually walked from Tenjinbashisuji Rokuchome Station to Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street. I realized I hadn't had lunch yet. Feeling a bit hungry, I checked out some places where I could grab a light meal while heading towards Temma Station. After a short walk, I noticed a restaurant on my right called "Mala Spicy Noodles Yangyang." They had a special set called "Good Job Set" which included a draft beer, fried chicken, and soupless tantanmen for only 1,000 yen. I immediately decided to give it a try. I purchased a ticket at the entrance ticket machine and took my seat. The partition separating me from the next table was a bit narrow, but I didn't mind. Soon, the draft beer arrived. Cheers! It was delicious. The fried chicken also came out quickly and it paired perfectly with the beer. As I enjoyed my beer, the soupless tantanmen was served. I had to mix the noodles about 15 times before eating, so I was kept busy. After finishing my beer, I started eating the soupless tantanmen. It had just the right amount of spiciness and numbing sensation. Maybe a bit more heat would have been even better, but it was still tasty. I devoured it in no time. The soupless tantanmen was truly enticing. The cost performance was excellent. Truly a gem in Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street!

Yangyang is a ramen restaurant specializing in soupless tantanmen located in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street in Osaka. It is surrounded by many other ramen shops in a highly competitive area. However, it seems like Yangyang is the only one specializing in soupless tantanmen. This unique feature sets it apart from the rest. It was my first time visiting, so I chose the lowest level of spiciness and added some sansho pepper myself. Even though I chose level 1 spiciness, level 2 would have been okay too. I also added a soft-boiled egg on top. After mixing everything together, it was delicious! The texture was enjoyable, with something crunchy mixed in. The restaurant itself is very small, with counter seats and two-person seats attached to the wall across a narrow walkway.
