I forgot to record my first visit, so this is my second time here. I had the cold tantanmen noodles. As you can see from the photo, it was spicy and just to my liking. It was udon noodles, so it was very satisfying to eat. I also ordered the fried chicken because I thought the tantanmen noodles alone might be a bit bland. It was also very delicious.

In the food court of Hankyu Sanban-gai, there is authentic Sanuki udon from Kagawa. The udon has a firm texture similar to authentic Sanuki udon and a gentle flavor. You can order a mini udon for children when you order a regular or large size, which is very convenient for families with kids! Despite prices going up everywhere, you can still enjoy this authentic udon at a reasonable price. The tempura is also satisfying with a crispy texture! Even though it's an udon shop in Kansai, they are really making an effort with the prices. It's convenient and delicious! The staff working in the food court even brought a tray for my child, which was very considerate and helpful.

I visited for the Chiikawa collaboration. The beef, grated yam, and egg udon for 720 yen. I had the impression that collaboration menus are expensive and not tasty, with small portions. However, this menu was the same price as the original and came with a lunch mat, which was fair. Most importantly, it was delicious!

I tried the collaboration menu at Hankyu 3rd Avenue x Chiikawa, which was the beef, grated yam, and egg udon with a novelty gift (720 yen). I ordered it and had it on the spot, so it was quick and convenient. The udon comes with beef, egg, grated yam, and green onions. The noodles are not extremely chewy, but they have a decent firmness and are easy to eat. When you mix the egg and beef, it creates a sweet and savory taste similar to gyudon, which goes well with the udon. I was satisfied with both the meal and the novelty gift.

I visited the restaurant around noon on a regular day. It is located in the underground second floor of Hankyu department store, so I made sure to secure a seat in the food court before lining up at the shop! There was the typical hustle and bustle of a food court (laughs). I had the Bukkake Udon for 480 yen and Chicken Tempura for 190 yen, totaling 670 yen. The price of udon seems to be gradually increasing, but it's still a good deal for lunch in the Umeda area. The Sanuki udon, with a bonito broth, was delicious and I finished it all in no time! The quality is similar to a certain major udon chain. The noodles had a good texture. They also provided a decent amount of condiments by default, which I appreciated. I will definitely visit again when I want to have a quick and tasty udon meal.

Having breakfast in Umeda! Hankyu Sanbangai opens at 10 am, which is convenient! - Tonkotsu Maze Sanuki Udon for 700 yen is chewy with a nice texture. It's satisfying and delicious! The sweet and savory sauce with the pork works really well! It's super delicious! There are other options to try as well, so it's worth exploring different dishes! - Recommended Rating: Taste: ★★★★☆ Service: ★★★☆☆ Cost Performance: ★★★★☆ Overall Recommendation: ★★★★☆ - Restaurant Information: Name: Miyata Sanuki Udon Address: B2F, Hankyu Sanbangai North Building, 1-1-3 Shibata, Kita-ku, Osaka Phone: 06-6371-4545 #KansaiGourmet #Foodie #OsakaGourmet #UmedaGourmet #KitaShinchiGourmet #OsakaLunch #UmedaLunch #RepeatVisit #HankyuSanbangai #Breakfast #Udon #SanukiUdon #MiyataSanukiUdon

I had lunch on a weekday at "Miyatake Sanuki Udon Hankyu Sanbangai Branch" in Hankyu Sanbangai in Osaka Umeda. The udon here is reasonably delicious and offers exceptional value for money. The udon noodles are slightly firm, but other than that, everything is great. It's no wonder there's a line during lunchtime. This time, I had the "bukkake cold udon (480 yen)" with onigiri and croquette added, totaling 760 yen. It was wonderful. I enjoyed a delicious meal easily. Bon appétit!

Evening visit. Located in the food court. - Kamaage Udon 480: The noodles were chewy, but the dipping sauce was average. The large size felt slightly small in portion? However, it was easy to eat and delicious. - Salmon Onigiri 130: A very ordinary salmon onigiri. Even though I ordered a large udon and it wasn't enough, buying this onigiri was a good choice. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having udon for breakfast, so I went to Miyatake Sanuki Udon. The broth had a gentle flavor. Personally, I think it could have been a bit richer. The noodles were chewy and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Around 12:40 on Friday, I visited a udon restaurant in Umeda Food Hall, looking for something quick to eat. I ordered two servings of warm bukkake udon for 480 yen each, chikuwa and isobe tempura for 160 yen, onsen egg tempura for 170 yen, and kombu rice ball for 130 yen. Unlike Marugame Seimen, this place didn't offer unlimited negi (green onions), but the bukkake udon had a good amount of toppings like nori, bonito flakes, tempura crumbs, and grated daikon radish. The udon was slightly softer than typical Sanuki udon, with a nice balance of flavors. The tempura was a bit pricey but tasty, making it a satisfying lunch overall.

I visited a restaurant called "Miyata Udon" in the food court of Hankyu Sanbangai, which seems to be a chain store. The visit was at 10:30 in the morning, and this place opens at 10:30 as well. The system of the restaurant involves ordering udon at the counter, receiving the freshly made udon, passing by the topping corner, paying at the cashier, and then finding a seat. The menu includes various types of udon like zaru, kake, kama-age, bukkake, as well as toppings, curry dishes, original dishes, tempura rice bowl, curry rice bowl, beef bowl, etc. I ordered the "Ton Mazed Sanuki Udon" which was served in a few minutes. The udon noodles were thick and had a firm texture. The sauce was flavorful but not too sweet, and the toppings included seasoned pork slices, onions, tempura crumbs, soft-boiled egg, green onions, bonito flakes, sesame seeds, and shredded seaweed. Mixing everything together provided a variety of textures to enjoy. Pork-based udon dishes are not common in Osaka, but this one was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There were many families with children at the Umeda Food Hall during spring break. There were even parents with small children, so maybe it's time to remove the acrylic boards?

Zaru Udon at Miyata Sanki Udon @ Osaka Umeda On January 19, 2023 (Thursday), I moved from Osaka Airport to Umeda. For lunch, I decided to go to Miyata Sanki Udon inside the FOODHALL on the B2F of Hankyu 3rd Avenue. I ordered the Zaru Udon for 300 yen and Chikuwa Tempura for 160 yen and found a seat. The Zaru Udon had a nice chewy texture and was a light meal option. It's convenient when you want something quick and satisfying. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

After finishing work, I stopped by this restaurant "Miyatake Sanuki Udon" on my way home for dinner. It is located in the Hankyu Sanbangai food hall. There are many different restaurants in this food hall, but when it comes to udon, this is the place to go. The food hall has been open for quite some time, but it is still bustling with many people. I ordered the "Zaru Dai (large) with kashiwa tempura and chikuwa tempura for 750 yen." Recently, the prices at self-service udon restaurants have been increasing, so considering the location, this price is understandable and attracts customers. The food hall format makes it easy to enjoy a meal, and the quality has really improved. Thank you for the meal!

I was surprised to find a food court at Hankyu Sanbangai! I was feeling a little hungry, so I headed to the Sanuki Udon corner. I ordered a simple soy sauce udon (350 yen)! Wow!! This tastes almost the same as what I had in Kagawa!! It's rare to be able to eat authentic Shikoku flavors at this price in Osaka! The noodles are firm and chilled in cold water, and the slightly sweet soy sauce goes well with the green onions! I think I prefer this over Marukame Seimen!

I first tried udon in Kagawa at Miyata Udon over twenty years ago. Since then, I have become a udon enthusiast and have traveled to Kagawa many times to eat udon. However, recently there are more places in Osaka where you can enjoy delicious udon, so I no longer make the trip to Kagawa just for udon. Now, about this restaurant, it is supervised by Miyata Udon. I ordered the cold udon with a half-cooked egg, and it was decent. The half-cooked egg was actually fully cooked. It was okay for pre-cooked udon outside of peak hours. I felt that there is some potential here. I might visit again when I want a quick meal. There were several shops I wanted to visit on Sanban Street, but they all had long lines so I decided to give up. Since I was short on time, I ended up eating here during my transfer. I ordered the refreshing sudachi udon with tempura on the side, but they didn't have dipping sauce so I had to eat it with soy sauce instead.

I had passed by this place many times before and always saw a long line in the afternoon. Wanting to eat something warm because it had gotten cold, I decided to go around noon and to my surprise, there was no one there. I mistakenly thought I could order at the cashier, so I ordered the Mentaiko Kamatama Udon for 670 yen without any tempura. It felt quite cheap for a food court, but when I considered it was just udon, it was a normal price. However, the udon was delicious with a chewy texture and a good firmness, typical of Sanuki udon from Kagawa. The egg was placed on top for me to mix in and warm up, which was a nice touch. I was happy with the simple Kamatama udon, but the added flavors made it more enjoyable.

On a regular day at 6:30 pm. The food court, which used to be crowded, is now completely empty. It's nice not having to search for an available seat. Cold udon noodles for 480 yen and chikuwa tempura for 160 yen. The noodles had a good texture and were smooth. It was a hot day, so the cold udon noodles were delicious. However, I wouldn't say they were exceptionally tasty.

I visited Miyata Sanuki Udon. It's a shop in the underground food court in Umeda where you can taste the flavor of dried fish stock. Even though it's a food court, both the udon noodles and the stock are directly delivered from the Miyata Seimenjo in Kagawa (*‘ω‘ *) So it's authentic Sanuki udon☆ I ordered the kake udon (regular size), not the small one. They also have kama-age udon at the same price, which is impressive. The tempura is a bit pricey, but I chose the corn tempura because it comes with 5 pieces, so it's a good deal. First, I took a sip of the hot stock. It's made with dried fish stock and tastes really good☆ It made me feel warm and fuzzy (*´▽`*) The udon is freshly made in the shop, so it's delicious. I enjoyed the corn tempura by dipping it in the stock. It's sweet and tasty. While most places in Osaka serve Osaka-style udon, this place serves authentic Sanuki udon☆ I'll definitely stop by every time I'm in Umeda. Thank you for the meal.
