I visited a restaurant called "Miyata Udon" in the food court of Hankyu Sanbangai, which seems to be a chain store. The visit was at 10:30 in the morning, and this place opens at 10:30 as well. The system of the restaurant involves ordering udon at the counter, receiving the freshly made udon, passing by the topping corner, paying at the cashier, and then finding a seat. The menu includes various types of udon like zaru, kake, kama-age, bukkake, as well as toppings, curry dishes, original dishes, tempura rice bowl, curry rice bowl, beef bowl, etc. I ordered the "Ton Mazed Sanuki Udon" which was served in a few minutes. The udon noodles were thick and had a firm texture. The sauce was flavorful but not too sweet, and the toppings included seasoned pork slices, onions, tempura crumbs, soft-boiled egg, green onions, bonito flakes, sesame seeds, and shredded seaweed. Mixing everything together provided a variety of textures to enjoy. Pork-based udon dishes are not common in Osaka, but this one was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
