I found delicious takoyaki! In Hanazonocho, I had 7 pieces of takoyaki from Ippuku for 450 yen. They offer a crispy outside and a soft inside, with sauce and ponzu provided. They even gave me a complimentary namasu. There was one overcooked takoyaki in the batch. When you dip the takoyaki in the sauce, it tastes like Akashiyaki. I also tried the squid balls for 350 yen, which had double the expected amount. The freshly made ice cream monaka was only 100 yen. It was a great Osaka gourmet experience!

"I ate 7 pieces of takoyaki x2 plates, grilled squid (I forgot the name, the simplest one) 1 plate. Impressions: I went to a takoyaki shop recommended by a senior at work after taking a walk in Nishinari. It was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, so the store was empty, but there were many people buying takeout. I stayed in Osaka for 1 night and 2 days, but this takoyaki was the most delicious. "

This is a takoyaki that can only be tasted here, served with sauce and two types of vinegar. I visited around 1 pm on a Saturday and the counter was about half empty. There were a couple of people waiting outside for takeout. I have been here a few times and the counter seats are often full. They offer takoyaki in sets of 10 and 15, and there are also sets with beer or highball. Many people enjoy drinking during the day. The fluffy takoyaki, topped with sauce, two types of vinegar, and shichimi, is delicious, refreshing, and you can eat a lot of them. The taste is unique to this place, and it's something I occasionally crave.

I went on a day trip to Osaka. My main purpose was to buy the August issue of the youth manga magazine "Afternoon" at Tower Records Umeda UN Tea House store (I'm serious). The round-trip Shinkansen fare for my family of three to go to Osaka just to buy a 730 yen magazine... well, let's not think too deeply about that. The Tower Records Umeda UN Tea House store was absolutely amazing, I spent over an hour there and still felt like it wasn't enough. I want to go back again! Since it would be a waste to just go to Osaka for shopping at Tower Records, we decided to do some light sightseeing. Universal Studios Japan (which I haven't been to yet) was out of the question due to time constraints, so we went to Abeno Harukas instead. Before going to Abeno Harukas, we stopped by this place for lunch. My husband searched for "Osaka x Takoyaki" and found this place, which he wanted to visit. It's located about 2 kilometers away from Abeno Harukas. We used the subway to get there. It's not a touristy area, not a shopping street, nor a residential area, just a place where locals would go. The retro atmosphere of the store might make it seem intimidating for families with children. Just to be safe, we made a reservation for counter seats. When we entered, there were hardly any customers, making me wonder if the reservation was unnecessary... but soon after, it became full. It's impressive to see a full house during weekend lunch hours. We ordered: - Takoyaki (10 pieces) - Takoyaki (7 pieces) The takoyaki was lightly seasoned. If you're used to the sticky sauce flavor, you might find it lacking. They were beautifully round. - Ika Spe I was curious about the "Ika Yaki" so we ordered it. It's more like a flat omelet than okonomiyaki. The sauce had a stronger flavor compared to the takoyaki, giving it a familiar homemade taste. We received many complimentary dishes, but it was unclear if they were free or not. I couldn't keep up with the fast-paced conversations of the people in Osaka, so I couldn't understand everything. The speed and wit of their conversations seem dull and uninteresting to me... The tempo and wit of their conversations must be influenced by the environment they've grown up in. The most delicious dish was the complimentary "osumashi." I couldn't really tell the difference between takoyaki soup and osumashi, maybe it's the difference in the number of takoyaki pieces? Osumashi had one takoyaki in it, and the takoyaki in osumashi had a texture similar to "fu" (wheat gluten) and was delicious. The staff are friendly even to first-time visitors, making it a recommended spot for tourists who want to experience the deep side of Osaka.

I used to live nearby. I first learned about topping takoyaki with green onions at this shop. (My mom told me about it, but she doesn't remember the shop... Really?) I didn't feel the same excitement as when I first tried it. Maybe I should have tried the "monaka" that I often ate on hot days?

I suddenly got a call from a friend in my hometown who wanted to eat takoyaki and grilled squid, so we decided to meet up. I had some free time in the afternoon, so I made a reservation over the phone before heading to the restaurant. When I arrived, they had set up a reserved sign for us. We started with some red and white pickled vegetables while waiting for the takoyaki to arrive. We ordered 20 takoyaki to share, half with sauce and half with dashi broth. They were delicious! We also shared a grilled squid egg. It was chewy and tasty. We ended up ordering another 10 takoyaki because they were so good. Overall, it was a great meal.

Sometimes you just crave takoyaki. But the takoyaki at this shop is not powdery, has a strong dashi flavor, so you can eat it as is without any toppings. They also provide two types of vinegar, which is unique to this place. Today, the welcoming mother who usually greets customers was not there! I love the warm and friendly atmosphere of this shop, typical of Osaka people.

I visited this restaurant, "Ittokyuu," located about a 2-3 minute walk from Hanazonocho Station on the subway. It was my first visit. I visited on a holiday Wednesday around 5 pm and was able to enter without having to wait as there were empty seats at the counter. I ordered the takoyaki (15 pieces) beer set for ¥1,180 (tax included) and the cabbage and egg double beer set for ¥880 (tax included), bringing the total to ¥2,060 (tax included). As for the taste, the takoyaki was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, ideal for pairing with beer and incredibly delicious! Although it is usually served plain, I found it to be even more delicious with two cups of vinegar instead of sauce. The cabbage and egg dish, on the other hand, resembled an okonomiyaki with squid, cabbage, and egg inside. It came already topped with sauce and bonito flakes, and was also incredibly delicious with plenty of squid and cabbage. Overall, it was a cozy and welcoming atmosphere at this long-standing takoyaki shop in the downtown area, with friendly staff. Thank you for the meal! I would definitely visit again if given the chance!

I finally visited the takoyaki shop in Nishinari, Osaka that I had been curious about for a long time. I sat at the counter and ordered 7 pieces of takoyaki. When the perfectly round and beautiful takoyaki was served, a fragrant dashi aroma wafted over. I ate it as is, without any toppings. The outside was crispy and the inside was creamy. It was the best takoyaki I have ever had. They also served pickled vegetables as a service. I heard that their squid yakisoba is also delicious, so I will definitely order that next time. It was worth the trip. It's so delicious here.

A friend from Nishinari in Osaka took me to a nostalgic Showa era restaurant that has been around since our childhood. It's located near Hanazonocho Station, but it's also easily accessible from Tennoji Station. Despite being full, the locals quickly made space for us when they saw us. We ordered a set of grilled takoyaki and canned beer, recommended by my friend, and enjoyed some red and white pickled vegetables as a complimentary dish. The takoyaki was small but packed with large pieces of octopus and flavorful broth. It reminded me of the famous takoyaki from Aizu-ya. We also tried the special grilled squid, which was incredibly delicious, even better than the popular department store version. I highly recommend trying it. We finished off our meal with a nostalgic Showa era ice cream sandwich. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

Looking for some delicious food, I went on a wandering journey! After finding out that a different shop had already closed for lunch, I decided to walk a bit further. However, it was definitely worth it! The takoyaki here might be the best in this area. It's light and flavorful with a delicious broth. Eating it with a bit of vinegar was just perfect. The owner of the shop was like a famous landlady from Osaka, casually asking me, "Where are you from?" The taste was excellent, but because it's a bit far from the station, I'll give it a slightly lower rating. I'll definitely come back for more takoyaki!

I visited Itoku in Hanazono-cho after receiving an invitation. - Takoyaki: Simple but delicious even without any toppings! You can adjust the flavor with vinegar and mayonnaise. - Ikasupe: A takoyaki with plenty of squid inside. The chewy squid is delicious! - Osu-mashi: Takoyaki marinated in dashi. It seems you can get it for free if you order Ikasupe. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant feeling hungry, and was captivated by the beautifully arranged takoyaki that resembled traditional crafts. At first glance, they didn't seem very hot, but when I took a bite, the inside was soft and piping hot. It was extremely delicious! I had 15 pieces of takoyaki for 850 yen (tax included) and ikayaki "ikasupe" for 880 yen (tax included).

Second round of Gacha de Uro Uro♪ Walked north from R26 for a while, about 15 minutes from Tenka Chaya Station, heading east on Ume Minami Street♪ The nearest station is probably Hanazono Station on the subway... I've always wanted to come here... Ichifuku-san♪ I personally like the basic takoyaki without sauce, so I often order it when available, but I didn't know about this place until Myレビ-san told me♪ The store is good for takeout and dining in, with a main counter that seats about 7-8 people... First, let's order highball♪ Takoyaki with 7 pieces and ikayaki... Do they put eggs in the ikayaki? the lady asked♪ Looking at the menu, there seem to be several types of ikayaki♪ Although the store is mainly run by the lady, a male staff member, perhaps the master of ikayaki, appeared and made it for us♪ While waiting, they asked if we wanted some namasu, so we ordered it♪ It goes well with alcohol♪ First, the takoyaki... still a bit tipsy... crispy on the outside, but soft and hot inside... the takoyaki with a strong umami flavor♪ Next, the ikayaki... surprisingly big... with plenty of squid inside, thick and chewy dough, seems to be filling... with a sweet sauce, this one is also good♪ We only had one piece of takoyaki left, so we enjoyed it with the sauce and shichimi on the table♪ They also seemed willing to provide mayonnaise if requested♪ Well, I recommend having it as it is... I will definitely come back again♪ Thank you for the meal♪ (*´ω`*)

I've been curious about takoyaki and ikayaki for a while, so I went to Isshoku Asahi where you can eat Akashiyaki in a su-mashi style. It was delicious, especially when eaten with two kinds of vinegar which makes it very refreshing. The mayonnaise also added a nice touch. It's been a while since I had ikayaki, but I still love it. The nostalgic appearance of the place was also nice. I want to come back soon. Thank you for the meal.

"2023 February 16th (Thursday) Lunch Train Sunny [Hidden Gem Revealed❗️] 'Ipukyu' Takoyaki - Hanazonocho Station ※ Score: A Class [AA-F] [7 pieces of takoyaki] ¥450 Heard about the 'double vinegar' takoyaki and decided to visit right away. Went around 11 am and there were already 5 customers dining in and many others buying takeout. Started with the smallest order of 7 pieces for tasting. 'Double vinegar and shichimi' combination was good. Eating it as is was also delicious. Tried it with 'sauce and mayonnaise' as well, but personally preferred 'double vinegar and mayonnaise'. It was incredibly delicious. The staff (all elderly) were polite and kind, even offering a complimentary 'osumashi' soup because it was cold that day. The taste of the 'osumashi' soup was average or slightly below. Great value for money, they also provided mayonnaise, and the takoyaki was extremely tasty!!! Didn't know about this amazing restaurant before. When searching for "Nishinari Ward Takoyaki" on the gourmet version of Tabelog, Onefukyu is ranked 1st. I visited Onefukyu to create a video on the top 10 Takoyaki in Nishinari Ward. Onefukyu is said to be the best in Nishinari Ward on Tabelog and is also considered the most delicious in Osaka by Netlabo. This time, I tried their Takoyaki set of 10 pieces for 600 yen. As always, the balls are small, crispy on the outside, hollow inside with chewy octopus. The dashi flavor is strong, so it tastes delicious even without any toppings, but you can also enjoy it with 2 cups of vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, or shichimi togarashi. Personally, I recommend enjoying it with just vinegar. Although 10 pieces for 600 yen may not be cheap in Nishinari, it comes with a special homemade pickled vegetable side dish. Additionally, if you order either Takoyaki 10 pieces or Cabbage Takoyaki, you will also receive a bowl of osumashi soup. Unlike the Takoyaki soup mentioned in a previous program, this osumashi soup is elegant with a hint of yuzu flavor and contains one piece of Takoyaki and mitsuba leaves. This service is especially appreciated during the cold winter. Please give it a try.

【Overall】Located about a 2-minute walk from Hanazonocho Station in Osaka, this is a shop that specializes in takoyaki and grilled squid, tucked away on a small street off the main road. This time, I tried the takoyaki. The surface was crispy and fragrant, while the inside was soft and melty, with a rich dashi flavor. It was really delicious! A serving of 10 pieces costs 600 yen and comes with takoyaki soup and red and white pickled vegetables. Prices for food and drinks in Nishinari Ward are generally affordable, but this shop stands out for being both cheap and delicious, offering a satisfying meal. After enjoying delicious oden at Marugome, I walked to the Hanazonocho/Haginotaya area. I was craving takoyaki, a must-have when in Osaka. Despite being full, I decided to indulge. The shop is located in a cluttered residential area in a narrow alleyway, giving off a typical Nishinari Ward vibe. The exterior features a red tent with "takoyaki" and "grilled squid" written in blue on the curtain. The large sign makes it easy to spot as a takoyaki shop. Inside, there are about 10 counter seats and two elderly female staff members. The menu offers various types of takoyaki and grilled squid, as well as beer, chuhai, and highball. I opted for the green onion takoyaki (10 pieces for 650 yen), recommended by the shop. The takoyaki was slightly larger than usual, with a crispy surface. The freshly cooked takoyaki was piping hot and melty inside, so I savored it slowly. The dashi flavor was rich and delicious. The green onions complemented the taste of the batter well. While I personally didn't feel the need for sauce, it's worth trying for a different flavor. Additionally, the takoyaki soup with takoyaki pieces and red and white pickled vegetables were served as a complimentary side. Essentially, it was like having 11 pieces of takoyaki. Quite impressive. The softened takoyaki in the soup was also very tasty. It's like adding tempura flakes to udon, but a deluxe version. 【Final Thoughts】I didn't expect to receive takoyaki soup and pickled vegetables for 650 yen. That's exceptional service! Although I didn't try it this time, the recommended way to eat it is with vinegar and shichimi pepper. It does seem like a good combination. The melty takoyaki with rich dashi is already delicious on its own, but the green onions add even more flavor, making it highly recommended. The total bill for today came to 650 yen. Thank you for the meal.

After work on a weekday, I visited around 7 pm and about half of the seats were filled with dine-in customers. I ordered the beer set (7 pieces of takoyaki) for 770 yen and the grilled squid for 280 yen. The pickled vegetables served as a complimentary side dish had a nice tangy flavor that complemented the drinks well. The takoyaki had a firm outer layer with a creamy inside and a flavorful dashi broth. While you can customize with sauce and mayonnaise, they were delicious on their own. The grilled squid was simple, coated in flour, but had a generous amount of squid giving it a satisfying texture. The cozy atmosphere allowed for a leisurely meal with drinks, so I would like to visit again when I am in the area.
