In Osaka for 80 years! Retro coffee shop near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine! I feel like stopping by after finishing lunch. It's hot outside, but I often enjoy hot coffee at such shops. They serve delicious coffee with the option for a stronger brew. It creates an atmosphere where you want to add a little sugar and enjoy. Thank you for the delicious coffee!

Osaka, Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, this is a study of the morning at Ibuki Coffee. It has a rating of 3.55 on Tabelog and is a cafe from the Showa era. What's wonderful is that it is non-smoking.
- Egg sandwich set: 460 yen
I chose the mild coffee. It is a very easy-to-drink coffee. They seem to prioritize the coffee and the price.
Thank you for the meal! Thank you very much!

A traditional Showa-era coffee shop. They offer a morning set where you can choose from 2 options. I tried their strong coffee, which was surprisingly delicious even in the middle of summer. The buttered toast and egg sandwich were also very tasty.

Visited Osaka Tenmangu Shrine and then stopped by Iibuki Coffee located on Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. It was a hot day, so I quickly went inside seeking some relief. Ordered an iced coffee which had a strong bitterness but a refreshing aftertaste. It was so good that I felt like I could drink more. I enjoyed it without any milk or sugar. The clientele seemed to be mostly local office workers, with few elderly customers. The atmosphere was filled with the sound of adult Kansai dialect conversations, which I found to be a nice background music. I heard that Iibuki Coffee has won awards in coffee competitions, and I can see why because their coffee was delicious. Surprisingly, the price was quite reasonable, around 500 yen. Truly a hidden oasis in Tenjinbashi-suji, showcasing the essence of Osaka.

Third stop on the food tour along Tenjinbashi-suji, at the casual coffee shop "Ibuki Coffee Shop." Located a bit north from the southern end of the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, right at the corner of a crossroads. I have passed by this shop many times in the past, but avoided it due to the limited dessert options. Recently, I have been on the lookout for a delicious coffee float, so I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Coffee Float" and stayed for about an hour. The atmosphere was very cozy.
- Food/Taste: 3.2
The "Coffee Float" had a typical appearance. The iced coffee had a sharp bitterness to it. They added a lot of syrup to sweeten it up, catering more towards those with a sweet tooth. The ice was of a moist type, different from the usual ice-containing drinks at coffee shops.
- Service: 3.3
The staff provided natural and graceful service. They interacted with customers at nearby tables in the same manner, giving off a friendly vibe typical of shops within the shopping street.
- Atmosphere: 3.2
The exterior had the classic look of a coffee shop, with a large sign reading "Ibuki Coffee" at the top. The interior felt like a mix between a traditional coffee shop and a regular café. Jazz music played in the background. There were about six customers when I arrived and three more came in later. Some customers were lively and added to the atmosphere.
- Cost Performance: 3.4
The "Coffee Float" was priced at 560 yen, which is quite affordable compared to similar drinks at other coffee shops. It was a good deal. I didn't realize that for an additional 20 yen, I could have upgraded to an "Au Lait Float." It was a good value, and the taste was likely geared towards those who enjoy sweeter flavors.
- Drink: Includes the information mentioned above.
After returning home, I discovered that this shop is actually a sister store of "Marufuku Coffee Shop," which I have visited before and remembered for its variety of desserts. However, the menu at "Ibuki Coffee Shop" follows a different direction, so I didn't make the connection at all.

I visited the "Ibuki Coffee Shop" in the shopping street of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine to have their morning set. It's a calm and traditional coffee shop that offers morning service from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. I ordered option A, which includes toast, eggs, and a drink (coffee, tea, milk) for 420 yen. I chose hot coffee this time. The coffee had a great aroma and the toast was delicious with just the right amount of butter. It's a cozy place to enjoy a nice breakfast!

After enjoying cherry blossoms in Fushimi, I took a stroll at Osaka Castle and felt thirsty, so I took a break. I chose iced coffee. The coffee had a strong bitterness, which was very good. I'm sure an iced coffee float would be absolutely delicious! I usually don't put syrup in my coffee, but when I tried adding a little bit, the balance between sweetness and bitterness improved. I'll definitely try a coffee float next time! There are many cafes around here, so it would be interesting to explore different ones.

The hot coffee can be chosen from strong, mild, or American. If you choose strong, it is really intense. However, it is not a peculiar intensity but purely strong, so it is very satisfying. The hotcakes come with honey and homemade-like butter. It is simple and nice, but it lacks the expected flavor of hotcakes, so it feels a bit unsatisfactory. It is a completely non-smoking pure coffee shop, which is very calming and nice.

Located near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, is "Ibuki Coffee Shop". Enjoy a cheerful jazz soundtrack while listening to the aroma of coffee from the roasting room, and try their Mini Sandwich (Ham & Egg) for 430 yen along with a coffee for 420 yen. It's a great-tasting shop.

I bought what I needed and took a break in a cool place at Ibusuki Coffee. I sat down and enjoyed an iced coffee, a summer tradition. The coffee had a bitter taste, which was refreshing. Since there were no other customers, I was able to relax and enjoy my time there.

It's hot! These days I can't even speak. Walking with my sister in the Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, our goal is a chiropractic clinic where we have a reservation. While waiting for our appointment, we take a break. The two of us quickly decide to take a break. The traditional taste since 1934 caught our attention. This kind of cafe usually has a lot of places where you can smoke, but this one had two no smoking signs on the door. We happily entered. Inside, there were customers quietly enjoying their coffee while reading books or newspapers. It was hot, so we ordered iced coffee. The cold glass with amber-colored iced coffee was beautiful and delicious.

After 5 years and 1 day, I revisited Ban Coffee in Morinomiya. Although not as strong as their Ban Black (40g beans, 60cc extraction), the coffee was rich and delicious! I enjoyed a simple egg sandwich for breakfast. Morning at Ban Coffee: B Egg Sandwich, Strong Coffee.

I visited the coffee shop called Ibuki Coffee in Minamimorimachi, Osaka. It is located in a shopping street and has a nostalgic atmosphere. I went there in the morning and tried their breakfast set. You can choose between toast and eggs or an egg sandwich with your coffee. They offer three types of hot coffee (strong, mild, American) and I chose the mild one, which turned out to be quite strong. The ambiance is calm and perfect for relaxing. Next time, I will try their cafe au lait.

Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, 4th stop for food tasting. Feeling tired from walking, decided to take a break at a cafe with a sign saying "Established in Showa 9 (1934) - Traditional Taste". Only 12 more years to reach 100 years? People were already enjoying coffee before the war, it must be a strong commitment to run a cafe since then. The interior is simple and unfortunately not very old-fashioned. No music playing, and it was quiet with few customers. Seems like they focus on the taste. So, I thought coffee should go well with ice cream and ordered a coffee float. The coffee itself had a deep, bitter, intense flavor from the roasting process. Even when eating it with the ice cream, the presence of the coffee was unbeatable. This place would be a nice place to relax after a walk, after visiting Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, or when you're full. Thank you for the meal.

I stumbled upon this old-fashioned cafe and decided to give it a try. The coffee was strong, and the owner recommended the strong brew. I added some milk, but maybe it would have been better without it. The aroma was average, but the taste was rich. They also had a roasting machine, so I realized they roast their own beans here. They also sell beans.

A sign with a font like that of Iguchi Gorou, reminiscent of the Mito Komon's seal. The owner also has the appearance of a magistrate from a period drama. This kind of shop focuses more on atmosphere than the taste of coffee. Enjoying a Reska and iced coffee alternately, feeling the vibe of Osaka.

It is a corner property located close to Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street and Minami-Morimachi. My former boss, who used to live in Minami-Morimachi until a year ago, gave his top recommendation for this place in the neighborhood, saying it's the best! But later added, "It's quite strong." The orange sign catches your eye. Sometimes, orange acrylic signs evoke a nostalgic feeling, don't they? I wonder if orange signs were a trend at some point. The interior is old but clean, with a relatively large roasting room for the size of the shop. This style has been around for years, how many years has it been at the doorstep of Tenjin? It says "Established in 1934, Home-Roasted Coffee." Wow... that's 87 years ago. Of course, it has survived through wars.
Coffee (strong) / 420 yen
The fact that it's specifically labeled as strong suggests that there are people who occasionally frown and say, "It's strong!" I'm fine with it. Now, with just one sip, a concentrated acidity and richness hit me first. Oh, this is it! Yeah, it's strong! Then, a different richness and bitterness follow. It's enjoyable. Coffee really varies so much in taste depending on the roasting. The taste that has been loved since 1987. I heard that their morning coffee is also popular. There must be people who say, "My day won't start without drinking this coffee." I enjoyed the rich and dignified coffee from this long-standing establishment. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by a place nearby and tried their mixed juice. I thought it would be coffee, but it turned out to be a mix of banana, peach, and orange. It was delicious and refreshing, especially since I haven't had it in a while. Sometimes, it's nice to change things up. The mixed juice cost ¥580 and the toast was ¥150, which was crispy and good.

Strolling through Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street with my family, we stopped at a tea shop for breakfast. The interior of the shop exuded a sense of tradition, with the aroma of coffee that has been brewing for years. I ordered a Bunker Hot (strong) coffee with an egg sandwich for 460 yen. The coffee had a nostalgic scent with a balance of sweetness and bitterness. My wife ordered a Yome Hot (mild) coffee with an egg sandwich for the same price. Our son had a cafe au lait with toast for 450 yen, and our daughter had milk with toast for 430 yen. Unfortunately, we were unable to substitute the drinks for mixed juice. Despite the busy time, the small tables added to the charm of the place. The egg sandwich had homemade mayonnaise, making it a delightful breakfast treat. There is something special about long-standing family-owned businesses. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you!

The famous "Tenjinbashi-suji" with its long shopping street is a fun place to stroll around. I visited this shop that I had been curious about and quenched my thirst. I called in advance to confirm that they were open before visiting. It was around 3 pm and there were no other customers in the store. The "Mixed Juice" had a lot of banana and orange, but I didn't really taste the peach. The "Melon Soda" came in a two-layered state, so it seemed like they had individually mixed the carbonated water and syrup. It was exquisite and very delicious! The carbonation was not too strong, and there was a good level of sweetness. I often order melon soda elsewhere, but sometimes the carbonation is too strong, or the sweetness is lacking, resulting in a bland taste. However, compared to those, I found this one to be exceptionally "delicious!" The only thing that slightly bothered me was that the staff were chatting continuously in the not-so-large store, which was a bit concerning during this pandemic. Nevertheless, I want to support them as they are working hard to stay open in a shopping street that has likely seen a decrease in customers. Thank you for the meal.
