I was always overwhelmed by the long line at the counter and couldn't bring myself to go in, but on this day there weren't many people, so I mustered up the courage and went in! The friendly and casual master greeted me with a smile! The food was so delicious that I wondered why I hadn't come sooner! The homemade sausage was bursting with juices! The salted mackerel and corn peperoncino had just the right amount of saltiness and the sweetness of corn, making it a superb dish (°▽°) I really wanted to eat more! I will definitely go back again. I'm so happy to have found such a great restaurant! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

An incredibly cost-effective restaurant. The long, narrow interior always seems to be full. Occasionally, there seems to be some availability, so I seize the opportunity to visit. Since it's Italian, I start by choosing a wine (based on the atmosphere, as I'm not very knowledgeable). The dishes are quite reasonable, so I end up ordering a variety of them. If I can make it to the pasta, I am completely satisfied.

Since coming to Tokyo, I have been to over 10 bars, but I have not found a place that surpasses the quality and taste of this bar. Most dishes are served for 500 yen, yet they are so delicious that you can't believe it's only 500 yen! The small and narrow interior is always full of customers, and I can feel that such a place is truly loved by the customers. The manager is friendly and will chat with you, making it a small shop that warms your heart. If you are near Ogikubo, be sure to visit this place!

I visited the restaurant around 7 pm on Friday. The entrance is narrow but there is a long counter that extends to the back. The spacing between chairs is comfortable, so you don't feel crowded and the atmosphere is nice. It was my first visit but I felt like a regular customer. I think it's because the staff greet you with a smile and provide great service. The restaurant hasn't been open for a year yet but it's already popular with many customers. The draft beer is 500 yen, and the a la carte dishes are also reasonably priced at 500 yen each. I ordered the garlic-cooked clams and cheese, which were delicious. The restaurant has a hidden gem feel, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, tasty food, and fair prices, making it a highly recommended place in Ogikubo. (Revisited on July 26) It was a busy long weekend so I couldn't get a seat, so I arrived at 6 pm sharp! I started with a cold beer, avocado salad, and salmon, which were all delicious! I then had the octopus tomato stew and prosciutto, which were also tasty! I enjoyed a glass of white wine and ended with risotto. Once again, the staff's smiles and delicious food made my day a happy one.

On a certain day in December, after enjoying a live performance by Hidemi Tokunaga, I went out for drinks with a friend. We stumbled upon this restaurant in Ogikubo, which had a narrow entrance but a long counter and small tables at the back. We arrived at 6:00 PM and left at 11:30 PM. My friend and I ordered various appetizers and even grilled fillet steak. We started with Heartland beer and I had about six glasses of wine. The bill came out to be around 8,000 yen. The atmosphere was cozy and it seemed like a place where regulars frequent. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a variety of Italian dishes. However, the downside was that the restaurant allowed smoking throughout, which made it feel like a smoky eel bed. If it had been smoke-free, it would have been a place I'd want to become a regular at.

[2012.11 Revisited] I revisited the restaurant and tried the following dishes: ■Eggplant and Mozzarella Stack (△) ■Oyster and Chinese Cabbage Gratin (△) ■Chili Beans (○) The chili beans were delicious. However, I couldn't help but notice the issue with smoking. The restaurant is long and narrow, like an eel's bed, and even though I sat near the entrance, the smoke from a lone smoker at the back table drifted all the way to the entrance. It seems like the staff are smokers too, so as someone who dislikes smoke, it might not be the best match for me.
[2012.9 First Visit] I visited as a second stop on a weekday night. It was not as crowded as usual, so I decided to give it a try. I had: ■Draft Beer ■Vegetable-Loaded Bagna Cauda ■Mushroom Ajillo. The draft beer and appetizers were all priced at 500 yen. The appetizers were like small tapas. Pasta and risotto were around 1000 yen. The taste was decent, nothing extraordinary, typical of a regular izakaya. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable, but since it's a counter-only establishment with regular customers, it might be a bit intimidating for newcomers. I would like to revisit if the opportunity arises.

I was very curious about what kind of restaurant would open around spring this year. This is because I have been occasionally visiting the bar right in front of here. I heard rumors that it had turned into an Italian bar, but I didn't have a chance to visit until a few months after it opened. After my first visit, I brought my partner, and sometimes friends, to visit several times. Every time I pass by the restaurant, I take a peek, and it always seems quite lively, even late at night. So, it might be fully booked, and I might pass on entering. However, this restaurant is very deep, like an "eel's bed." I thought it was only a counter, but there are small table seats at the back, and once you settle in, you might never want to leave. The menu includes classics as well as daily specials. It's fun to carefully look at the menu written on the blackboard above while sipping beer and thinking, "What should I eat first...?" The dishes are all very gentle and delicious. While there are no ultra-premium ingredients (which is expected for a casual bar), you can tell that they are made with care and attention. Even the handmade pasta is made right in front of you, with the dough being stretched and cut with a machine, giving a little performance. It's great. If you go early, the seemingly quiet owner will also engage in conversation. Even if you eat to your heart's content and order beer and wine, it probably won't exceed 4000 yen. This cost performance is very good in my opinion. If there were a few more wine options in the 2800-3200 yen price range, that would be even better, but that's just me being luxurious.

A small Italian restaurant with 12 counter seats and one small table for two. The cover charge is 300 yen, all antipasti dishes are 500 yen each, and the wine by the glass starts at 500 yen. If dining alone, you can enjoy 4 antipasti dishes, 1 draft beer, and 3 glasses of wine for around 5,000 yen. The menu changes slightly with the seasons, so it's enjoyable to visit repeatedly. The food is delicious, making it a great choice for dining alone.

I couldn't go because it always seemed to be full whenever I peeked in, but luckily it was empty this day so two of us decided to go. For drinks, we were recommended the "Red Micro Firing (Rum Blue Sky)" by the master, and it was my first time trying it, it was very refreshing and sweet, and delicious. The atmosphere is suitable for dates. It's not noisy, and the shop is small so you can enjoy your drink in a calm manner. The prices are on the cheaper side. By the way, there is only a counter, and it's a bit hard to go to the toilet at the back of the shop (laughs).

Title as it is, a small Italian bar. The place always seems crowded on weekdays. I realized it had more depth than I thought. Heartland draft beer - it may seem unusual, but apparently it's not. Anyway, I tried a sparkling white Chardonnay. There are about 3 types of red and white wines written on the board. I had mushroom ajillo, bagna cauda, grilled eggplant with cheese, etc. For the finale, I had mushroom risotto. I'm completely full. It might be okay to go alone. A place I'd like to visit again.
