This is a review of the sushi restaurant "Suehiro Sushi" located in Higashikoto, Koto-ku, Tokyo. The nearest station is Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line and Toei Oedo Line. I visited "Suehiro Sushi" for dinner. I got off at Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on my way home from work and was looking for a place to have dinner. That's when I found "Suehiro Sushi". I decided to have sushi for dinner tonight. I opened the door of "Suehiro Sushi" and entered the restaurant. There were a few customers already seated. I was told to choose any seat I liked, so I sat at a table in a raised tatami area. I ordered the Special Chirashi Sushi for 2,100 yen. The Special Chirashi Sushi had a lot of toppings, including 2 pieces of fatty tuna, shrimp, marinated kelp, salmon roe, scallop, egg, and fish cake, covering the vinegar rice so you couldn't see it underneath. The toppings were all delicious, especially the fatty tuna. The ingredients were plentiful and the flavor of the vinegar rice matched well with the toppings. Among the chirashi sushi I've had recently, the Special Chirashi Sushi at "Suehiro Sushi" was really good. It was a hit. It was as good as "Kame Sushi" that I had a while ago. Despite being located in the city center, it was offered at a reasonable price and the taste was great, so I had a good impression. I just dropped in, but my intuition was right. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

The neighborhood sushi restaurant. The younger generation doesn't seem to visit much, but I went alone before and enjoyed the calm atmosphere. The tuna was incredibly delicious, so this time I went with a friend for the third visit. The tuna is still very tasty. The fish is large but the rice and fish are delicate and delicious. The small dishes to accompany the drinks are also tasty and the drinks go down smoothly. The sushi at the counter, in a relaxed atmosphere, lifts my spirits. You can't go wrong with any order. You can leave fully satisfied without going to a high-end restaurant in the city. The large pieces mean that even with the "upper" 8 pieces of nigiri for 1,500 yen, you'll be satisfied. The restaurant may seem a bit intimidating, but I hope this delicious sushi place becomes more popular among the younger generation.

Three of us visited a restaurant one night. I ordered a sashimi platter and grilled fish as a side dish for alcohol. My friend had a premium sushi platter, and the other had sushi. The sashimi platter included fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, sea urchin, crab legs, sweet shrimp, golden eye snapper, octopus, squid, and kelp with eggs. It looked so luxurious. I savored the sweetness of the tuna fat while enjoying the luxurious meal. The Japanese sake I drank with it was amazing. The appetizer, kinpira gobou, was unexpectedly spicy and made the alcohol go down smoothly. For dessert, we had melon. It was a perfect way to end the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Sushi restaurant in the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa area that has been around for a long time. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, they were working hard to stay open. The lunch was not crowded on this day, with no other customers. I sat at the counter and ordered the lunch set of nigiri sushi for 900 yen. I really wanted to have 1.5 servings, but 1300 yen seemed a bit steep. I've never been to this restaurant before, but I have passed by a few times in the past and it seemed like the prices had gone up. Looking at past review photos, 5 years ago the lunch set with 1.5 servings was only 1000 yen. It's understandable that prices have gone up over the years, but still... Maybe it's because of the current situation, but the sushi case at the counter also looked a bit empty. First, a salad was served. Cabbage with sesame dressing and a regular one. There were small, transparent bubbles on top. The set included 6 pieces of nigiri sushi, 3 inarizushi, and 3 kappa maki. There was also a menu for Juroku-zushi, so maybe inarizushi is one of their specialties. However, it was the regular vinegared rice, not the one with various fillings. The taste was on the sweeter and stronger side. The other sushi was average as well. The gunkan was with flying fish roe, and the tamago sushi was pre-packaged. It also came with miso soup and a dessert of black honey agar. Overall, it was a reasonably priced lunch at a typical neighborhood sushi restaurant, but I hope there will be something more memorable in terms of taste in the future.

I used it for a funeral on a holiday lunch. They reserved the entire 2nd floor for us. When we arrived, sashimi and fish were already prepared, and we had a toast with beer and oolong tea. It was delicious! Just when I thought it was over, they served sushi and miso soup with clams. Then we had persimmons and tea for dessert! It was a lot of food and I was full. The food was delicious and the service from the staff was pleasant. The only downside was that the restroom had an old-fashioned feel, so if that bothers you, make sure to use it before coming.

The sushi was generously sized and filled me up. It was my first time visiting, but the service was very polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. They had a wide variety of sake to enjoy. The chef and the hostess were both lovely, and I would love to go back again.

Continuing my exploration of lunch spots in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, I stumbled upon a sushi restaurant that usually only operates at night. Despite its intimidating atmosphere, I decided to give it a try for lunch. The sushi set was 800 yen and came with salad and miso soup. The interior was quiet, with the chef diligently preparing the sushi and the TV providing background noise. The sushi arrived in about 10 minutes, with generous portions of fresh, chewy toppings on lightly seasoned rice. The standout was a large piece of sweet and savory inari sushi, which seemed to be a popular choice. As I finished my meal, a dessert of sweet red bean soup was served, providing a nice balance to the salty flavors of the sushi.

Located along Kiyosu Hashi Street near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, this sushi restaurant has been around for quite some time, as evidenced by the old photos inside the shop. Despite its long history, the lunch prices are quite affordable. For example, you can get 1.5 servings of nigiri for just 1,000 yen. I tried this and was satisfied. The rice portions are quite large here, so even with just that amount, you'll feel full. The rice itself is delicious, and the variety of toppings includes akami, squid, salmon, kohada, simmered conger eel, sweet shrimp, tamago, hamachi, and kappa & kanpyo hosomaki. The quality of the toppings is decent. It's worth noting that the tamago is not homemade. As for the atmosphere, it's nothing special, and there may be some casual conversations happening, like horse racing discussions at the counter. When I visited, there was a bit of a smoky smell due to smoking being allowed. However, I did feel that the restaurant had a fair and reasonable vibe, with affordable prices. That's the kind of place it is.

After finishing my business in both countries, I was walking and thinking about what to have for lunch when I saw a sign for sushi set (800 yen). The entrance was open, so I peeked inside and saw that there were no other customers. Sushi restaurants without a conveyor belt usually give off a high-end vibe, but with this price, I felt comfortable going in (laughs). The interior had around 20 seats, including counter seats and a raised tatami area. Since I was dining alone, I chose a counter seat. I already knew what I wanted to order, but I couldn't help glancing at the menu on the wall. The owner noticed and asked me what I would like. I decided to go with the sushi set 1.5 (1,000 yen), which was only 200 yen more than the basic set. The owner worked silently as I waited. A salad was served, and by the time I finished it, the sushi set arrived. It included 8 types of nigiri (tuna, squid, salmon, yellowtail, octopus, scallop, egg, sweet shrimp), gunkan-maki (flying fish roe) and nori-maki (cucumber, pickled radish), offering a generous portion. It also came with miso soup and dessert. I think it's a great deal for 1,000 yen. Thank you for the meal (^o^)

This is a sushi restaurant located near the entrance of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on the Hanzomon Line, along Kiyosu Bridge Street. Recently, I have been more conscious of my health and seeking out healthy dishes, so I decided to visit a sushi restaurant that I rarely go to. The lunch menu was displayed on a sign outside the restaurant, and even though it was a bit pricey, at 1,000 yen, I felt comfortable entering. The restaurant has a counter with 10 seats, three 4-person tatami tables, and possibly more seating on the second floor. The chairs at sushi restaurants are usually wooden, but here they were cushioned club-like chairs that didn't quite match the atmosphere. There was the husband and wife owners, along with a lively head waitress who added a unique touch to the place. I was a bit hungry, so I ordered 1.5 servings of nigiri (1,000 yen). The husband skillfully prepared the nigiri while the head waitress started making nori rolls next to him. She would constantly make suggestions to the husband, who would react with a slight annoyance each time, which made for an entertaining exchange. The head waitress, who couldn't keep her thoughts to herself, later engaged in casual conversation with the customers in the tatami area. The nigiri included tuna, fatty tuna, octopus, sea bream, squid, sweet shrimp, Pacific saury, cod roe, egg, and dried gourd roll. They may not have looked impressive, but each piece of sushi was generously sized. They were all delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the Pacific saury nigiri, which was a first for me. The head waitress's dried gourd roll had a subtle sweetness that was delightful. The miso soup contained plenty of clams, giving it a rich umami flavor. A rare salad was included with the sushi, consisting of lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and corn dressed in sesame dressing. Additionally, dessert was served, which was a persimmon, likely the first of the season. Regular customers spread out horse racing newspapers and listened to the radio while engaging in horse racing discussions with the husband, which didn't create the best atmosphere. However, the head waitress's presence managed to overshadow this, adding a unique charm to the restaurant.
