It's nice to find a charming restaurant just a few minutes from the ticket gate, and the fish is delicious too. I can't remember the name of the fish, but the tataki appetizer was too delicious. We tried the grilled and sashimi dishes as well, and they were all excellent! The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and it's conveniently located near the station, making it a casual yet sophisticated option for souvenirs!

If you want to eat delicious salt koji grilled fish inside Tokyo Station, I recommend this place. The underground first floor of Tokyo Station, the renovated Kurobei Yokocho, is located on the north passage connecting Marunouchi and Yaesu. Although I heard some opinions that the usability has worsened compared to before, I decided to try it out today. Located next to the popular Tsukishima Monja Tamatoya, sandwiched between YEBIS BAR, this Japanese izakaya called "Sake to Sakana Hanarean Tokyo Station Store" can be found here. There are 10 seats at the counter and about 5-6 table seats, with plenty of space available at the counter. The "Today's Marinated Grilled Fish Set (1280 yen)" includes soy koji marinated grilled fish and salt koji marinated grilled fish, and today's fish was Sawara. All items come with white rice, miso soup, two small side dishes, and pickles. [Miso Soup] Green onion and wakame seaweed. Served at the right temperature, the miso soup itself is delicious. [Side Dishes] Simmered dried radish and lightly simmered komatsuna and aburaage (deep-fried tofu). These side dishes are good in their simplicity. [Grilled Fish] The menu states both salt koji and soy koji, so I was wondering which one would be served, but both were served. Both were thick and firm fillets, boneless and with a strong flavor, making them enjoyable to eat. Served with grated daikon radish and sweet vinegar pickled ginger. The soy koji one has a subtle returning aroma, reminiscent of Nishikyo-zuke, while the salt koji one is simple yet delicious with the flavor of koji. Both are delicious, but personally, I prefer the salt koji one. The price is relatively reasonable, and the satisfaction level was high. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Met up with a beer buddy at a restaurant called Hanarean in Kurobei Yokocho near Tokyo Station. They serve Japanese sake, seafood, and grilled dishes. My friend from Toyama had never tried hoya before, so we decided to order it along with Toyama's famous fried white shrimp. The hoya was served as sashimi and it was easy to eat without any strong flavors. The set of sardines was also delicious. Although the prices were a bit high, it's a great place to share dishes with 2-3 people. They have a wide variety of Japanese sake as well. I visited for lunch on a busy Sunday, with the Gransta area bustling with people enjoying their last Sunday of summer vacation. I ordered the classic sashimi set meal, while my companion ordered the simmered fish set meal (simmered melocama). Other options included marinated fish grilled set meal, marinated fish bowl, simmered daikon set meal, and fish tsukushi set meal. The sashimi I ordered was perfect for lunch, and the melocama fish was deliciously tender and flavorful. The standout was the rice, made with Hitomebore rice from Miyagi Prefecture, which was absolutely delicious.

I was wandering around Tokyo Station's Kurobei Yokocho thinking about drinking sake in the afternoon, and I was drawn to a quaint looking restaurant. I was convinced it was a good place after trying the bonito sashimi as the appetizer (I didn't expect the appetizer to be this delicious!). They had a wide variety of sake to choose from, and all the food on the menu paired well with sake, and of course, the taste was satisfying. Although I couldn't order it this time due to budget constraints, they also offer sashimi platters and various types of fish as single items. I would love to visit every other week, but it's a bit on the expensive side, so maybe once a month is more realistic...

We used a Japanese restaurant in Kurobei Yokocho at Tokyo Station for a reunion with old friends. We made a reservation for a course and visited. The service was good, and dishes like sashimi, simmered fish, and grilled vegetables were delicious and went well with the drinks. They are open all day, so it's convenient to use. I used it for a quick drink before catching the train. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, so the alcohol went down smoothly. The restaurant wasn't very crowded and we were seated right away. I ordered the set meal. The fried cod with tartar sauce was refreshing. The sashimi was delicious with just the right thickness. The simmered fish head was especially tasty and would go well with alcohol. The simmered vegetables and dried radish were good palate cleansers. And the pickled daikon was delicious. I wonder how they make daikon pickles? I was satisfied with the meal. I will visit again.

It is located at the back of Kurobei Yokocho, just outside the north exit of Tokyo Station Yaesu. Despite being at the back, it is always bustling. Today's lunch special is a daily marinated bowl with fresh bluefin tuna and red sea bream in soy sauce. There is also a sesame sauce available. In addition to this, there are 3-4 other lunch options to enjoy.

I highly recommend trying casual Japanese cuisine at Tokyo Station! The fish-focused set meal for 2180 yen is always a good choice. Even though I often consider trying something different, I find myself tempted by the delicious Saikyo-yaki (grilled fish marinated in miso) on this set meal. Once again, I left completely satisfied!

I visited the restaurant around 1 pm on a weekday. The place was about half full, so I sat at the empty counter. I ordered the Daily Two Kinds of Pickled Fish Grilled Meal for 1480 yen. That day, it was grilled silver cod marinated in miso and grilled in sake lees. The silver cod was grilled perfectly and looked beautiful. The flavor and fat of the silver cod combined well with the miso and sake lees, making it even more delicious. It went really well with the rice! The crispy skin of the fish was also delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and tasty, and the miso soup was also delicious. The pickled vegetables served as a palate cleanser were much appreciated. Overall, the silver cod dishes were very delicious and went well with the rice. I wanted to get a second helping of rice, but I resisted the temptation. Thank you for the meal!

Having a meal with my husband's family after a long time. We went to this restaurant located in Gransta Yaesu North B1, directly connected to Tokyo Station. The private room was just the right size for 4 people, with a room charge of 1,000 yen. For lunch, there were about 6-7 options including sashimi, simmered dishes, etc., but I chose the Fish Lover's Set without hesitation! It costs 2,180 yen and includes sashimi, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, and fried dishes, allowing you to enjoy fish in various ways! The portion size was generous! The recommended dish at this restaurant seems to be the simmered dish. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, and my portion had quite a lot of bones. Hanasando is located in the basement of Gransta, in the Kurobei Yokocho alley. I visited for lunch on the first day of a 2-day Tokyo business trip with my boss and colleague. We arrived around 12:30 pm and the restaurant was about 40-50% full. We were seated at a 4-person table and ordered the special marinated rice bowl. I chose sesame soy sauce as the topping. The rice bowl arrived in about 5 minutes with 4 pieces each of fresh tuna and sea bass. The tuna had a rich, velvety texture, while the sea bass was light and slightly sweet. The sesame soy sauce paired better with the sea bass. The meal also included two side dishes, miso soup, and pickles, offering a satisfying portion. My colleague's grilled saury marinated in soy koji and salt koji set looked delicious as well. Overall, Hanasando is a casual place where you can enjoy a fish meal set.

The fish feast set for 2180 yen includes a sashimi platter, Saury fish marinated in sweet miso, deep-fried swordfish, simmered fish head, fried tofu and vegetable side dish, dried radish, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The Saury fish marinated in sweet miso cooked in front of you, the delicious deep-fried swordfish with a fluffy texture, and the satisfying simmered fish head were all very tasty. Despite the average service, it's worth a visit. I will definitely come back!

I visited this restaurant for lunch. Tokyo Station is packed with people everywhere! Especially famous and TV-introduced shops all have long lines. In the midst of that, I easily entered this shop. They seem to specialize in fish dishes and Japanese sake. I chose the simmered fish lunch set (around 1200 yen)! I had to wait a bit, maybe bad timing. When it came out, I was surprised. It was quite a generous portion. The simmered fish was rich in flavor. It was on the sweeter side. It feels like it was carefully made, which is nice. Other lunch menu items were priced decently, considering Tokyo Station has generally higher prices. It might be a nice treat for a lunch once in a while. I liked it, so I would like to visit again. I visited Hanare-an at Gransta Yaesu Kurobei Yokocho on the basement floor of Tokyo Station. We had a delicious meal including thinly sliced octopus sashimi, suzuki (sea bass), seared maguro (tuna), pickled oysters, and grilled bell peppers. I was thinking about where to go for my third stop after having yakitori at the first place and beer at the second place, but I decided to try this place next to YEBISU BAR Gransta Yae Kita. I sat at the available counter seat and looked at the menu. I decided to order the pickled fish bowl and some good sake. The food and drinks arrived quickly. The dish didn't have salmon, which was a nice surprise. It also came with a fish head soup, so it seemed like a good deal. I sipped on the sake and enjoyed some sashimi as a snack. The medium fatty tuna was good for snacking, but maybe not the best for a rice bowl. The pickles seemed homemade and were delicious. After finishing the sake, I tried the pickled fish bowl. The rice was a bit too cold, which was a shame because the fish was good quality. Also, the pickled ginger's juices soaked into the rice, which was disappointing. If they had served the ginger and wasabi separately, my impression might have been different. It seemed like a missed opportunity. When I looked at the receipt, I realized that the restaurant was affiliated with New Tokyo. They have a good selection of sake, so it's a good place to enjoy some drinks and snacks.
