I stopped by "Asobi Cafe" on my way back. They are open from 5 pm on weekdays, so it was a bit unexpected. I was unsure what to do, but I was drawn to the "Ice Cream" so I decided to go in. I got the "Strawberry" cone for 400 yen (tax included) since that was the only option available. It had a strong icy texture, unlike the ice cream I've been enjoying from the convenience store recently. It had a chunky feel to it. However, the price was about 6 times more expensive than the convenience store. The atmosphere inside the cafe is where people gather to enjoy board games. It seems that if you are not playing games, there is an additional fee for food and drinks. Gamers can be surprisingly noisy... I was amused by their reactions!

I visited around 2pm! Three acquaintances were already inside the restaurant. I chose the all-day course (3500 yen) for the day. It comes with two drinks. I ordered a craft beer (300 yen) and a highball. My friend ordered the Keema curry, which looked quite delicious. We spent the whole day there playing various board games. Some of the games we played were Codenames, Ito, Catan, and Cryptid. There were a couple more games but I can't remember their names. If you tell the staff "a cooperative game that makes you think" or "a game you can play without thinking", they will introduce the game to you with a simple explanation. It's clear that the staff love games. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with comfortable chairs and tables. It's a great place in the curry town of Jinbocho! I definitely want to come back!

This is a café called "Asobi Cafe" where anyone can play board games from around the world. You can play alone as well. I saw a signboard saying "Ice Cream" along Shirayama Street, so I decided to check it out. It's located before Tempura Imoya when you enter the alley. Inside the café, there were about 5 tables with young people enjoying board games. They offer "Plain" and "Strawberry" ice cream for 400 yen per single serving in a cone or cup. I chose the "Strawberry" flavor in a cup. It had a rustic brown color rather than red, with a crispy texture and a light yet flavorful taste. It was a perfect companion for my stroll in Jimbocho, enjoying the traditional ice cream.
